Captain: Han Solo
First Mate: Chewbacca

A legendary starship despite its humble origins and deceptively dilapidated exterior, the Millennium Falcon has factored into some of the Rebel Alliance's greatest victories over the Empire. On the surface, the Falcon looks like any other Corellian freighter, with a saucer-shaped primary hull, a pair of forward cargo-gripping mandibles, and a cylindrical cockpit mounted to the ship's side.
Beneath its hull, though, the Falcon packs many powerful secrets. Its owners made "special modifications" on the freighter, boosting its speed, shielding and performance to downright illegal levels. Its weaponry has been upgraded to military-class quad laser turrets. To cover rapid escapes, the Falcon sports a ventrally mounted hatch-concealed antipersonnel repeating laser. Between its forward mandibles rest concussion missile launchers. The habitable interior of the vessel also has a few surprises, such as concealed scanner-proof smuggling compartments.

A rush of exhiliration overtook Han as the Falcon cleared the spacelanes of Corellia and blasted into open space. Surprisingly, no one had questioned his rather abrupt departure and the fact that Leia wasn't with him. Wasn't his concern, though. If she wanted to act like she was in control and that he wasn't good enough, fine with him. Two could play at that game and he could deal the cards pretty damn well. She'd find out...

With one hand still on the control yoke, Han reached over and slid the wedding band off his finger - something he was meaning to do earlier before he got interrupted. He held it between thumb and forefinger briefly before tossing it into a compartment under the control console.

"Well, that's that," he breathed with a heavy sigh to his co-pilot. The giant Wookiee cooed in reponse as he busied himself with preparing the nav computer for the jump to lightspeed. Han smiled slightly at his response and shrugged. "Not like I'm giving up completely. Of course, the door will always be open when she decides to come back. It'll just be a matter of time. But until then, I intend to enjoy myself. Maybe I'll send 'er a message later or something."

Chewie cocked his head and inquired about something else. Han's eyes narrowed slightly in anger but it quickly faded. "Yea, I know that's the right thing to do. But ya know what, pal? I ain't ready for that. Why should I stoop down to that level and beg for forgiveness? It wasn't my fault in the first place. She fired the first shot and it's her job to clean up the mess. It's my job to just sit back and wait for it to happen and give instruction where needed."

The Wookiee sighed and shook his head in resignation. It was useless to try and knock some sense into Han when he was like this. He was set in his ways and there was nothing he could do to change that until it literally came back to bite him. Of course, it was only a matter of time until that happened, but Chewie had to suffer and put up with him until it did. For the time being, he just did his job and informed Han when the nav computer was set for the jump.

With a slight nod of his head, Han acknowledged the information and let his palm come to rest on the lever that would activate the hyperdrive. "Alright, let's get the hell outta here," he mumbled, trying to take the subject off of him and Leia. It would be a fairly short trip to Denon, and the sooner they got it over with, the better. He didn't know how much longer he could put up with Chewie's questioning about the subject.

When the hairy oaf gave the thumbs up on his side of things, Han pulled back the lever and the stars shot into oblivion as the Falcon jumped to hyperspace.

The Millennium Falcon is now enroute to Denon

Enough was enough. With a muffled growl and a series of colorful Corellian curses, Han slammed his palm down on the control console and cut the connection he had to the Alliance Holonet. If they wanted to launch some half-assed attempt to glorify the Alliance, let 'em. There was no way in all the nine hells he was gonna be drug into it. To be blunt, it was suicide and made them out to be just as bad as the Empire.

Han blew out a heavy sigh and turned to stare out at the air traffic moving about above Denon's atmosphere. He had brought the Falcon in system a few hours ago but that's as far as he got. With everything that happened within the past couple of weeks, he was hesitant to return to the Alliance capitol at all. If the brief argument that had occurred over the Holonet only moments ago was any indication of his future with this group, was it really worth it? Is this what he really wanted?

Aside from Alliance High Command's sudden crusade to push him outta their ranks, Han still had to deal with the unsettling revelation of what happened back with the fleet somewhere enroute to Thyferra. The fleet had clearly come out of lightspeed at some point but what really nagged at his mind was Leia's insistance that it was him that gave the order. She even took it as far as to recall him from the command position. He would've fought it further and at first, had no intentions of leaving, but when the crew agreed with Leia's assessment that it was indeed him that gave the order, Han gave into her demands and allowed himself to be escorted off the ship.

Now he faced the inevitable of explaining the whole fiasco as he finally came to the decision to proceed to the planet's surface. Sure, he still wasn't sure about his future with the Alliance and whether he wanted to pursue it further, but there was one thing that had made up his mind. As crazy as it sounded to even Han at this moment, it was Leia.

She may have screwed him over and put quite a gap in their relationship, but there was still something about her that kept drawing him back. And with the time alone, he had a lot of time to think things over with what happened between them and how to fix it. Unfortunately, he was beginning to come to the realization that she may have been correct. But the hard part was gonna be to get her on his side again. Would she believe him or even listen to him for that matter?

With one more heavy sigh and a determinded expression etched on his face, Han guided the Falcon down through the clouds and brought it to rest upon a landing platform just outside of the Alliance government district. Time to get down to business.

The hulk of the freighter shuddered under their feet and threatened to pull apart as the Millennium Falcon blasted its way out of Denon's dense atmosphere. Han Solo stumbled into the hold against the gravity shift and took a moment to steady his step before lowering his body into the worn out chair located at the tech station. His eyes closed against the familiar pattering of laserbolts against the ship's hull that no doubt were coming from Alliance planetary security. Things have finally come full circle. He was once again a criminal - an outcast. But it was his choice. His daughter over his career seemed like a fair trade.

Boba Fett was already making himself comfortable as he sat at the holochess table but if it weren't for the question the bounty hunter voiced, Han doubted he would've noticed him. Too many things were going through his mind at the moment to even matter. But even then, he forced himself to answer him. "He's your kind of scum," Han spat quietly under his breath as he angled his chin just enough so that he could see the bounty hunter under his lowered gaze. "Puts up a good fight and shows no mercy. If it weren't for his hobby of kidnapping kids, I might even be willing to give the guy some credit." There was a slight pause. "Oh, and uh, he's Force sensitive."

A damage indicator blinked on the console in front of him before something hissed and blew out in the back of the ship. More damage alarms were tripped after the initial explosion and they in return were closely followed by a string of angry Wookiee howls from the cockpit. Han winced at the beating his ship was taking and his partner's obvious frustration as he began to rise from his position at the station to give him a hand.

Fett's silent gaze followed the Corellian as he crossed the hold and headed toward the adjoining corridor that led to the cockpit. Han felt the man's eyes following him and stopped in midstride to regard him as a scowl quickly crossed his features. The bastard was waiting for an answer to the question Han had been trying to avoid.

Looping one hand around the gunbelt strapped to his waist and planting the other on the overheard bulkhead, Han braced himself as another round of ammunition rocked the freighter. "This isn't really the best time to discuss payment methods," Han pointed out as he regained his balance. "Why don't ya bring it up again once we make the jump? I'm sure we'll all be willing to talk then." With a smug, lopsided grin thrown in Fett's direction, Han disappeared from the hold.

Boba smiled as Han made his way into the cockpit. He wasn't as angry as he had liked, but he seemed annoyed enough to keep him focused. What irked Boba was the last bit. Force sensitive. The Jedi, no matter how foolish, and deluded they were wouldn't stoop to kidnapping a child, so that left the Sith...And the Empire.

Boba had good contacts in the Empire. High up contacts. It shouldn't take long to track down the people responsible, but it wouldn't necessarily be easy.

Standing up from the table, Boba made his way down the corridor Solo had exited down, and came upon the cockpit. Waiting a few seconds while leaning against the bulkhead, he finally cleared his throat, and said, "Solo. Set course for Coruscant. I have a safe house there, where I can pick up some weapons, and armor. I also need to get in touch with a few of my contacts, and see what I can find out about this kidnapping."

"NO, you kriffin' furbag!" Han shouted into the simian face of his Wookiee co-pilot as he climbed into the pilot's chair. "I told you to divert all power to the main thrusters, not the damn deflector shields! Don't you listen?! I dunno about you, but I ain't planning to stick around!"

Chewie clenched his oversized fists tighter around the control yoke and roared with ferrocity at the human at his side. His shaggy head snapped back and forth with irritation as he tried to explain his side of the story before another blast rocked the cockpit. Han ground his teeth at the accompanying cocophony of alarms and turned with anger to his partner and foribly shoved the Wookiee's paws away from the controls.

"That's it!" Han growled out, equally irritated. "I'm taking over! Next thing ya know, you'll be dragging our asses into the mouth of that Golan over there! Make yourself useful and plot us a safe jump outta here!"

The Wookiee pounded his fists into the console before pushing himself backward and woofing a question as he turned toward the navigation terminal.

"How the hell am I supposed to know?!" Han answered as he clutched the control yoke in a white-knuckled grip, trying his best to avoid another incoming laser blast. "Just take us to the closest port ya find that ain't here! We'll work out the fine details later!"

A low growl resounded from the Wookiee's throat which sounded an awful lot like a protest to the Corellian. With his temper all but gone, Han stole a split second from his flying to scold Chewie further when he heard the sound of someone clearing their throat from the entryway. A grimace overshadowed Han's anger as the realization sunk in that Boba Fett was still onboard. With the thrill of the chase, he had forgotten all about him. Smooth move, Solo. Things just keep getting better and better...

"Solo. Set course for Coruscant. I have a safe house there, where I can pick up some weapons, and armor. I also need to get in touch with a few of my contacts, and see what I can find out about this kidnapping."

This time, Han's jaw literally dropped and he lost his concentration as Fett muttered his absurd proposal. Who the hell did he think--"Coruscant?! Are you nuts?!" The words barely left his lips before a steady stream of laser blasts connected squarely with the forward hull of the freighter. The ship shuddered violently and the lights in the cockpit flickered ominously, grabbing Han's attention. Cursing himself for lowering his guard like that, Han turned back to the forward viewport and began to weave the Falcon once again through the intricate maze of lasers.

"Alright," Han finally muttered, allowing himself some breathing room this time. "I'll ask again...why Coruscant? Did that helmet of yours unscrew a few bolts upstairs? That's going directly into the rancor's den and I think I'm doing a damn fine job here of trying to get myself killed. Let's not raise the stakes, huh?"

Another blast lanced out to blow them out of the stars, but it fell short. Han noted that they were finally moving out of range of the platforms and it allowed him to sigh in relief. Maybe now something could go right. "You got any alternatives?"

Boba, not entirely used to being out of his suit near people, clamped down on the annoyance rising up within him and tried to not let it show on his face. Coruscant was the only place he'd be able to pay his Imperial contact a visit, and with as high placed as this individual was, he couldn't risk a holonet transmission.

Shaking his head, Boba responded, "None. I can guarantee our safety on Coruscant, but no place else. There's also the fact that it's the best place to start the search for your kidnapper. If you want your kid back, you need to trust me."

The steady hum of the engines and the intermittent beeping from the console were the only sounds in the cockpit as Han contemplated Fett's words in silence. He wanted trust - his trust. It was gonna be awfully tough to give it out to a man who was hunting his ass for the past ten years. But then again, this was his only hope in finding his daughter. What choice did he have?

Han pressed his lips together in indignation and studied the growing vastness of space outside the main viewport before glancing over his shoulder. As he turned around, a silent warning was passed between pilot and co-pilot as their gazes briefly locked. It was always beneficial to have a Wookiee watch your back...especially with someone like Fett closeby.

"Alright, Fett, you win," he grumbled bitterly with a heavy sigh. "We'll go to Coruscant...but..." Han's brow lowered dangerously as his index finger shot into the bounty hunter's face threateningly. "If you so much as flick your eyes in the wrong direction, I'll throw ya out the airlock, got it?"

Without another word, Han twisted back around to face the viewport and tightened his grip on the controls. "Chewie, set course for Coruscant," he mumbled in a voice that was barely audiable. The Wookiee angled his head in the Corellian's direction with a hint of concern before complying with the new orders. Within moments, the small freighter shot into hyperspace enroute to the central hub of the galaxy.

A half-asleep Air Traffic Command officer reclined in the command chair, stifling a yawn. It was getting late in his shift, and a convoy of materials for the manufacturing facilities of Coruscant had required special attention due to toxic chemicals. He didn't want to deal with anyone else tonight. A small freighter blipped on the sensors, eliciting a groan from the officer.

"Unidentified freighter, please state your designation and destination." he flipped the comm off just as a large yawn escaped him, eyes slipping closed. Around him, other officers carefully concealed their distaste as they went about their tasks, waiting for a reply.

The Falcon had only just decanted into the Coruscant system when the comm unit began to crackle and hum for attention. Han only had a moment to exchange a quick glance with Chewbacca before a tired voice filtered over the comm speaker itself.

"Unidentified freighter, please state your designation and destination."

A grimace crossed the Corellian's features as he jutted his thumb over his right shoulder in Fett's direction. "Make sure he don't speak," he instructed the Wookiee before leaning forward and opening the line to the traffic controller. "Uh, this is the freighter Longshot. We're just passing through with supplies and equipment for Core Worlds Engineering. Sending over the transponders now. And uh, if you could hurry it up, this is pretty important."

The comm clicked a second time as Han depressed the button and slumped back into the pilot's chair. "Now we'll see if those transponders are worth the price we paid," he mumbled under his breath as they waited for a reply.

The officer yawned again, watching the clock anxiously for his shift to end. The freighter actually had the decency to respond in a prompt and timely manner... dammit. He wouldn't be able to pass it off to the other officer. He waved for the technician to let the ship through.

The tech, however, had already begun cross-referencing hull markings. He frowned and ran a deeper carrier wave diagnostic, then turned to the officer. "Sir, hull markings match a --

The officer snapped at the tech, his voice a menacing growl. "Let the kriffin' freighter through. There's nothing it can have that will cause lasting damage to the planet, and I do not want to deal with the paperwork on it." The tech hesitated, then nodded with a heavy sigh, turning to the console once more. He flicked the comm switch and spoke clearly, but with a trace of anger.

"Freighter Longshot, you are cleared for landing. Follow your present course." the comm switched off, and ten minutes later the chronograph clicked. The officer sprang to his feet, more alive than he had been the rest of the shift, and darted out without waiting for hi replacement. The tech made a quick note to the administrative department concerning the performance, then resumed his normal duties.

The smell of recycled air rushed into the main corridor and nearly knocked Han flat as he hit the door release that led into the cockpit. His nose curled up in disgust and he grumbled a Corellian expletive under his breath as he pushed himself forward. As he passed through the threshold, the hem of the long, flowing robe that he had borrowed for his disguise caught on the door frame and caused him to trip and stumble into the console. "Son of a--!" the words slipped from his mouth as he stubbed his toe in the process.

It wasn't long before the short, rumbling sounds of Wookiee laughter wafted into the cockpit from the corridor as Chewie approached. Apparently the Wookiee had witnessed the whole thing - something that wasn't helping Han's mood at all. He knew he should've trashed the whole thing when he cleared outta there. What else could go wrong?

"Alright, alright," Han hissed through clenched teeth as he threw off the robe and managed to limp over to the pilot's chair. "I get the idea, you stupid furball. How 'bout you knock off the funny stuff and actually do some work, huh?"

The Wookiee issued one final grunt before cocking his head to the side, obviously taking offense to his partner's words. He watched with curious eyes as Han's hands began to move across the Falcon's console with ease, prepping the battered ship for takeoff.

Feeling the hard gaze of the Wookiee on his back, Han paused in his actions and craned his neck to glare over his shoulder. "Don't act so stupid," Han admonished. "You know what I'm talking about. Did you get it or not?"

Chewie's blue eyes narrowed dangerously to match the captain's hard stare before producing a single datacard from the utility pouch slung over his right shoulder.

Ah, there it is, Han mused to himself as a wry smirk crossed his features. That very card held the key to finding his daughter. It was the same card Fett had been in possession of moments before and it was supposed to give them the very location of the ship known as the Warlock. Hopefully Fett wouldn't get the last laugh in this whole ordeal and it would actually consist of those coordinates. "Well, give it here," Han ordered the Wookiee, holding out his proffered hand.

Without another moment's hesitation, Chewie dropped the card into his captain's hand and watched with even more curiosity as the Corellian slid the small card into the Falcon's databanks and waited. It only took a matter of seconds before the console issued a quiet beep, indicating it had read the information on the card.

With arms crossed over his chest in a gesture that indicated impatience, Han's attention was drawn to the console and silently, his hazel eyes read the contents of the datacard as they scrolled across the display before him. It didn't take long for the scowl that was currently on his face to change into a full-blown smile. "That's it!" he exclaimed as he pounded his fist into the console out of pure joy. "We found it! Maybe hiring Fett wasn't such a bad idea after all, huh pal?!"

Chewie shook his shaggy head in an affirmative as he let out a jubilant roar. He carefully squeezed his giant frame into the seat beside Han and studied the readout for himself. Again, a joyful roar escaped from the Wookiee's mouth.

"You said it, pal," Han agreed to the sentiment the Wookiee just uttered and reached up to playfully poke his partner in the shoulder. "Set those coordinates in and let's get the hell outta here. I don't wanna stick around long enough for those Imperial patrols to get any funny ideas."

The Wookiee agreed and soon the Millennium Falcon was airborne, hurtling towards open space and freedom.

An officer cried out on the bridge of the Dreadnaught Heavy Cruiser Paz as the Falcon hurtled into space above Coruscant. The warship maneuvered into position, and hailed the wayward freighter, which to their knowledge was still called Longshot.

"Attention freighter Longshot. You have not been cleared for departure. Disengage your engines at once."

A proximity alarm began blaring in the small confines of the cockpit as soon as they had cleared the planet's atmosphere. Han scowled at the sound, but chose to ignore it for the time being. Chewie, on the other hand, growled out in warning and pointed a hairy arm toward the viewport.

"Oh, quit your blabbering," Han growled, still focused on the task at hand. "We're probably just crossing over into--kriff!" The curse issued from his mouth as soon as his eyes flicked up to where Chewie was pointing. An Imperial cruiser was bearing down on them with impossible speed. "That's not good," Han grumbled under his breath.

"Attention freighter Longshot. You have not been cleared for departure. Disengage your engines at once."

A deep frown creased Han's brow as the nasally voice echoed over the comm speaker. Things were about to get interesting. "Keep 'er steady," he ordered Chewie without another thought. "I'm gonna try and hold these clowns off."

Slipping the voice synthesizer into his mouth that he had used earlier as the Arkanian, Han began to speak into the mic. "I'm sorry, control," he began in a booming, accented voice unlike his own. "We received our permission to depart several timeparts ago. Perhaps you have misplaced the documents? You must understand that I have a business to run and any delays could mean disaster."

"You will shut down your engines or you will be shot down," insisted the cruiser as a pair of CR90 corvettes and three squadrons of Skipray blastboats flanked the 600-meter cruiser.

Han was finally beginning to lose all confidence as the support ships began to crawl around the main cruiser like ticks would to a bantha. Holding his hand over the mic, the Corellian exchanged a look with his partner which didn't make him feel any better. The Wookiee seemed to be silently scolding him for his actions. "Just be ready to give 'er all she's got," Han instructed, ignoring that look he knew all too well.

Turning back to the mic, Han removed his hand and tried again to sweet talk these guys. "Oh, please, sir!" he continued, trying to make himself sound as pathetic as possible. "I mean no harm! I just want to return to my headquarters and cash in my profits! I swear, everything checks out! I will even send you a copy of my brochure for your Emperor to browse over! And a discount!"

The freighter captain's pathetic pleas fell on deaf ears. The Dreadnaught captain sent a message to the local squadron's Interdictor, telling them to prime their well generators.

He didn't receive a response, typical Navy attitude toward Customs. He ordered his gunners to lock onto the freighter as he returned their hail. "Freighter Longshot, you will deactivate your engines now or you will be fired upon and boarded."

"Stupid, ignorant fools..." Han grumbled under his breath, his voice trailing off as he tried to withhold the urge to slam his fist into the comm system. The Imps sure didn't know how to express sympathy to the common citizen, that was for sure. When he returned to the Alliance, he was sure to plaster this little incident all over the proper channels.

"That's it, Chewie," he lamented, slipping back in the seat and checking the main systems one last time. "They're not going for it. On my mark." The Wookiee gave a firm nod and rested his hairy paws on the console.

The Corellian waited a few seconds before leaning back toward the mic. "But you're missing out on a bargain! Please, you must---" He abruptly cut off the connection and pointed to his partner. "NOW!" he yelled, grabbing the control yoke and slamming it all the way forward.

The Falcon shot forward with incredible speed, making one last attempt to lose the picket ships and escape.

The Dreadnaught quickly fired its aft batteries at the escaping freighter while the Skiprays gunned their engines in pursuit of the wayward vessel.

The one squadron closed the gap enough to rake the ship with their laser turrets. Emerald bolts splashed across the shielded hull as each one made its run.

The Falcon shuddered violently under the relentless battering of the Dreadnaught and it's fighter escort. Alarms all over the cockpit were screaming for attention as Han held the control yoke in a white-knuckled grip, trying to keep the freighter steady. This wasn't gonna be an easy escape. "Transfer all power to the main thrusters," Han instructed his co-pilot with an eerie calm as he spit the voice synthesizer from his mouth. "If we calculate this right, the shields should hold and we'll be able to get outta here."

Chewie's blue eyes went wide at the Corellian's orders, pointing frantically to the console. The flashing lights indicated that the shields were already holding up poorly. A few more direct hits and they would be sitting unprotected. Han shook his head with a an almost crazy gleam in his eye. "I told you, she'll make it! Trust me!"

Almost on cue, a panel blew out on the console as soon as the words left his mouth, triggering yet another alarm. This one in particular didn't fare too well for the two companions. The shields had taken a direct hit. Noticing the damage on the indicator, Chewie looked to the Falcon's captain with an incredulous gaze.

"Alright, maybe we're in trouble," Han surmised, staring down at the console in horror. "Even I make mistakes! It wasn't my fault they decided to move in on us! I had the proper codes!" His eyes flicked briefly up to the viewport before returning to the console, his hands once again flying over the various instruments in an attempt to coax out what last bit of power they had left. And for the moment, things weren't looking bright as the Imperial ships loomed closer.

The second squadron of blastboats locked in. The lead ship fired off a torpedo, the pilot watching it explode against the shields of the freighter. He fired another, and this time, saw the freighter noticeably buck.

The shields were down.

The pilot ordered his squadron to switch to ion cannons. The blastboats fanned out, barely keeping pace with the fast freighter. The gunners depressed the firing actuators, and the runaway was battered by a barrage of crimson ion bolts. System began to falter across the board.

The captain of the Paz ignored the order. He had his mission, and wouldn't let some mystery officer interfere, especially one that probably didn't even know the situation.

"Delta squadron reports target disabled, sir!" called the comm officer.

The captain nodded. "Good. Send a corvette to impound the ship and take the crew into custody."

Just when Han thought he had everything under control and allowed himself a small smile, another blast rocked the crippled freighter and sent a chain reaction of small explosions through the entire control console. The sound of wailing alarms was almost deafening now as Han realized with some regret, what that blast was. "Ion cannon," he hissed to himself through clenched teeth. To reiterate his thoughts, Han tapped on various instruments and to his horror, there was no response. "Got us good this time."

Chewie moaned softly in agreement but quickly changed his tone as soon as he lifted his blue eyes to the forward viewport. A snarl escaped from his lips and he raised both arms in a gesture that indicated he was ready for a fight. The Corellian simply rolled his eyes and was ready to slap some sense into his companion when he saw what had gotten him so upset. A lone corvette and its escorts were heading directly for them. A boarding party.

"Get me that wig!" Han yelled, indicating the forgotten white wig and other various disguise elements laying on one of the passenger seats. It was a crazy idea, but maybe he would be able to fool them into thinking he really was a wealthy businessman. He would just have to play the part right and hope whoever the Imps sent over to investigate were stupid enough to believe such a tale.

When the wig was in place on his head, Han pointed frantically towards the hold. "Get back there and stay quiet! I'll handle this." With a slight moan of protest, the Wookiee obliged and disappeared into the back. With everything else in place, Han blew out a heavy sigh, returned the voice synthesizer to his mouth and waited.

The Customs corvette docked with the disabled freighter on the portside. The interior hatches of the port docking ring opened to reveal a green-clad Imperial customs officer backed up by a squad of Stormtroopers.

He looked around the freighter, observing the wafting smoke and flickering displays as he strode confidently, even pompously to the cockpit. The Stormtroopers followed, silently, their E-11 rifles at the ready.

"Well, well, well," taunted the inspector, leering at the Arkanian. "You were in quite a hurry, weren't you? I guess this business engagement of yours was so important that you were going to try running past the whole Empire, hmm?"
