The Darkness within the galaxy seemed to grow, the cloud and familiar shroud had mysteriously returned. Yoogle closed his eyes, the world of Denon leaving him and the galaxy at large appearing throughout his mind. It was in this state of meditation he could hear, see or even witness certain acts within the galaxy. It was a jumble of voices, too many to discern or specify... Yoogle arrived at Korriban, his mind searching the lost soul of Daast.

There. The man's 'soul' twinkled for a moment, before masking itself back into the darkness.

"Salo." Yoogle called out, to him in the meditation, and to nothing in the Jedi Chambers. His eyes raced over both distance and time, before stopping in front of the man. He was warn, he was beaten. The darkside lure had taken it's tole, but there was still time. Very little, yes, but time....

Yoogle opened his eyes, Salo was not on Korriban, instead he was on another world... one of personal significance.

Calling the Jedi, Yoogle prepared to reclaim a lost soul.

Light filtered through the shades as pinpoints of heat warm Kyp's face. Too long had he been here. He had done nothing but meditate for countless hours and the effects had shown. Everyday he would sit, cramps developing in his legs as he sat completely still. Planting his hands on the ground Kyp pushed himself off the ground. The euphoric feeling of a head rush followed as Kyp proceeded to sit down on his bed. He had to find something to do. Allowing his body to fall back Kyp laid still, his mind rushing off to sleep.

Yoogle walked into the Jedi Temple, finally, he would begin the training of a lifetime.

The Jedi faced an evil greater than anything the galaxy had seen before, and now, it was time prepare.

The students and padawans would receive the training, like nothing before.

The Jedi Temple is now on a secure lockdown, all defenses have been activated. Including an increased Security presence by Arlyn.

That, my dear RPG friends, is because Master Yoogle is now an PNPC.

Sure, I just need two days, so I can rotate Sark and Yoogle.

It's a nice surprise to see you though, feel free to take a look at the Temple. It's not on lockdown any more, just kinda picture the Coruscant Temple, with only like 30 beings. :P

There was a ripple across the galaxy, and only the precious attuned few, would sense this gentle disturbance. It's passage and message was simple, and Yoogle listened intently, letting the Force guide and process the energy it transmitted. A divine sense of clarity entered the Jedi's mind, as all was about to change.

The Order had experienced a new sense of growth in the past months, with trainers and their trainees coming closer to their potential, and Yoogle felt the Temple was becoming more of a home, than an academy.

This ripple, however, seemed to challenge the foundation the Jedi were building here. Denon's sanctuary would be tested in the future, as an agent of Darkness would no doubt attempt to enter their peaceful realm.

His large eyes were closed, but yet they pierced the darkness around him and saw into the void with such clarity, he could not be mistaken.

What was this fiend?

The agent of darkness had the ability to eliminate over half of the Order, but with this silent ripple, Yoogle's mind would be ever vigilant. He'd watch, he'd secure, and he'd ponder the thought of a galactic retreat. A retreat where the Jedi could learn, and build in a secret sanctuary. Their skills would be refined, their goals aligned, and their hearts intertwined to the galaxy's whispers.

Master Yoogle's eyes opened, when his eyelids remained shut...

A dangerous time had come, though not as fast as one would seem. It would appear as though the presence of the Sith Lord had never left the galaxy, it was merely muted, and faint, but existent nonetheless. All the Jedi Yoogle and Ikrit had gathered were now at risk, but any other location, other than Denon, could not defend them against the Emperor's malice. The Temple Doors were sealed, and defensive guards were posted.

Would it be enough?

No, the Force taunted, and Yoogle understood that if a Sith Lord, Apprentice, or chosen assassin wished to eliminate their small collection of force sensitives, the precautions taken, would only slow them, but not completely detour them.

They needed a place of refuge, somewhere the younglings could grow, and control their feelings, instead of answering to the temptation the darkside now held. As it resembled water, to a desert wanderer.

"Go away, we must," Yoogle told Yunn, "But where, is the question?" The younger human nodded.

"Master, are we to run like cowards?" the Jedi Knight spoke, and Yoogle could sense the confusion in his heart.

"Run, we are not. Prepare, we will, for a battle greater than all in this room." Yoogle pondered, "Study, train, and pursue the Force's teachings, we will. And better opponents, will we become. A Jedi does not crave the fight, noooo."

The hoverpod carried him to a galaxy map, "Deep into the Outer Rim, we must go. Pursue a group of Force teachers, we should."

"Staking the entire Enclave, is a risk we cannot take, so prepare a missionary, an 'ambassador' to these teachers, we've decided..." Ikrit continued, "Yoogle, and three students will venture into these coordinates, and attempt to locate them."

"If accepted, we are, then relocate, the Jedi will." Yoogle finished.

It had been some time since the Jedi Temple had closed it's massive doors to the outside world. The feeling of isolation was a powerful one. Sometimes it seemed as though these walls would slowly devour Kyp. Meditation and the constant honing of his lightsaber skills were the only things keeping him sane.

Every so often he would sit in on some of the lectures for the younglings. It had been years since he had to listen to those same words but regardless they never seemed to get old. Maybe it was more of a reminder of old times and old experiences too. Yet another reason to get away from the Temple.

Slowly Kyp stood up and stretched his muscles as though he had been sleeping. He needed to find Yoogle. If he were any kind of lucky Yoogle would have a way for him to get out of the Temple. For most the thought of fresh air is taken for granted. However they haven't been stuck in Temple where the most exiting thing is when you go to sleep.

Running over a mental checklist Kyp remember he needed to bring his cloak. Grabbing the thick material off his bed he carefully placed it upon his shoulders and held the cloth in place with a clip.

"Good."

Now Kyp was on his way out the door, he could easily feel Yoogle's presence amoungst all the others. It was unmistakable. With as much haste as possible Kyp hurried to his Master's side.

Been a while, hopefully we can get something going :).

Tash looked up as Serenity blasted off again into the starless Denon sky. She wondered at once how people on planets such as this managed to go their whole lives without seeing the stars. To her, they had always been a source of comfort and one which she desperately needed at this point.

The shock of what had happened finally caught up with her while she was confined to her quarters, leaving her feeling emotionally numb. She had never killed a person before and using the Force to do it the first time made the entire mystical energy field seem dirty somehow. She knew she was being unfair to the Force though. In her entire life she had seen evil people doing evil things, but it wasn't enough to convince her that the darkness lay in the Force. Even Darth Vader appeared to be an emotionally twisted ... whatever he was ... who used the Force for darkness, but it was Vader using the Force for darkness, not the Force using Vader for darkness.

It was this that scared her more than anything. It was a catch-22 situation that she didn't know if she wanted an answer to. Was she evil, or was the force evil? As she mounted the stairs to the Temple, Tash found the door locked. She didn't know why. Master Yoda had told her the Jedi would always welcome one of their own. Which maybe meant the she really wasn't one of their own.

She didn't want to leave because of her own doubts, however and used the Force to call to the Jedi in the building, hoping that one of them would let her in.

The Force rippled across the galaxy, and several Jedi had either arrived, or returned from their journeys. It was more than Yoogle had expected, and worth reconsidering their movement from the Temple, to Wild Space. Ikrit turned away from the gathered Jedi, his wide orbs staring into Yoogle's, as they silently debated. Together, they felt the arrival of Kyp Durron, as his presence was like a ball of a swirling inferno. Yoogle was quite accustomed to his old apprentice's presence. A smile curved on the Jedi's face as Kyp entered the room, but at that moment, there was another presence.

It wasn't necessarily faint, but it was new. Shining against the Temple defenses, like a beacon. The bunny-looking Jedi Master hopped from his place, his words echoing across the room, with a trace of excitement, "We have a visitor..."

Yoogle nodded in agreement, as the fellow Master went to investigate. In the meantime, Yoogle greeted his old apprentice, "Good to see you again, it is." The rest of the Jedi seemed to beam at the arrival of their old friend.

Welcome Tash. :P Ikrit will be greeting, and inviting you inside of the Temple. You can explain why you have come to him, or you can wait and tell our council. I look forward to RPing with you.

The door creaked open as Tash was preparing to leave, making her jump. She turned around to see empty space, but could sense a definitely powerful Force presence there. The memory of the first time she had met Master Yoda filled her mind, causing Tash to look down, her eyes beholding a stranger looking Jedi than even Master Yoda.

"Umm, hi," said Tash, wincing inwardly. It was definitely off-putting to be met by somebody who looked more like a child's plaything than a Jedi Master.
"Greetings, young Jedi," replied the diminutive Jedi, "what brings you to Denon?"
"I ..." Tash trailed off, how could she explain it? She lost control and killed two scumbags who were trying to kill her and now her crew were all afraid of her? Would they even let her in if she told them that? Probably not, especially if they found out she wasn't sorry that they were dead, just that she had killed them, "I wish to learn the ways of the Force and become a Jedi."

Kyp felt a slight twinge in the force as he entered the room. Though it was not the usual feeling one got when entering a room with two powerful Jedi Masters inside. The person or thing responsible seemed to be towards the main entrance to the Temple. Kyp could instantly tell Yoogle and Ikrit had felt it too. Ignoring the feeling Kyp responded to Yoogle with a slight bow. "Good to see you too Master." Kyp said to Yoogle.

Kyp after all the years spent with Yoogle couldn't help but feel awkward around him sometimes. Talking to a being hundreds of years older than him did have both pros and cons. Sometimes Kyp didn't even bother asking his former Master questions. Not because Kyp knew the answer but because Yoogle knew the answer before the question was asked. Kyp had to do something. It wasn't that he was eager or impatient but more energetic than anything. "Master, is there anything to be done outside these walls?" Kyp said unknowingly adding a sting to it.

Tash followed the furry little Jedi, whose name turned out to be Master Ikrit, through the halls of the Jedi Temple. The interior of the temple was huge, much bigger than it looked at the outside and yet there was nobody around. Aside from the soft padding of Ikrit's feet and the echoing thuds of her bootsteps there was no sound. It was as though she had stepped into another dimension, one that gave her the creeps, though none of these feeling came from the Force.

They walked for some time before Ikrit pushed open the door of what looked like some sort of official chamber. Tash hesitated for a moment at the door before slipping inside just before it closed. She stood awkwardly just inside the door, unsure of what to do or how to act.

Yoogle beamed at his former apprentice, as he had always held a knack for asking the right questions, at such perfect timing. "In our council meeting, decided we have, to assist Alatáriël Pallanén-Davad and her quest to capture Nubis Serin. Fatal, mistakes in this venture, will be. More to Serin, than meets the eye." Yoogle sensed Ikrit's greeting to the young humanoid, and it's entrance into the Jedi Temple.

"Travel to Tatooine, and assist her, you should. Remember, Kyp," Yoogle used his first name, attempting to gesture another way to signify the ending of his apprenticeship, and the status qua of an equal, "dangerous this criminal mastermind is, the Force is strong with him. Your mind, and skills with the lightsaber, put to the test, they will be. Listen to the Force, but depend on it, you cannot."

Kyp seemed confused on his last piece of advice, but Yoogle smiled, "More will be revealed to you, on Tatooine." Yoogle bowed to his friend, and finished, "May the Force be with you, and when it's not, remember what you have learned." He would not understand this now, but soon, he would learn that the Force, despite existing in everything, exhibited several flaws. In the apprehension, or execution of Serin Nubis, Kyp Durron would learn a great deal of the loopholes of the Force. Yoogle allowed the younger man to express any last remaining comments, before asking the remaining Jedi to leave, with the pure exception of Kyle Katarn.

"Excuse us, you must. A new pupil, perhaps, has come to join us. Overwhelm her, we shall not." Yoogle graciously excused his fellow Jedi, before watching Master Ikrit emerge with the young human female. As Ikrit bounced into place, Yoogle spoke gently, "Greetings, though we sense confusion, and fear, welcome you are."

Yoogle smiled, his aura calm and gentle. He waited for the young woman to speak, as Ikrit curled into one of the chairs, and watched.

Great, thought Tash, that makes me feel much better about the whole thing. At that moment, she was torn between a gesture of humble servitude and a cocky swagger, the hybrid of both courses of action making her half bow with a strange smile. She caught herself in less than a second, but there was still a moment there where her body appeared to be beyond her.

"I wish to learn the ways of the Jedi," she replied, deciding that the truth, or at least as close to it as her conscience would allow, was all she could go with at the moment.

Yoogle reached out with the Force, and gracefully touched the pupil's life essence, prodding and examining the nature of her arrival. After several quiet minutes, Yoogle's eyes opened, and a smirk rose across his face. "Master Yoogle, I am. Pleasure to meet you, it is," Yoogle greeted the woman, then added, "Indeed, you have come here to learn the ways of the Force. Uncertain, your path as a Jedi, may be." In the Old Republic, many students were taught only the ways of the Light Side, but with the growing temptation of Lord Palpatine, it was much more difficult.

"A student of this Temple, after training, will be offered a choice. To remain, and pursue the path of a Jedi, or to leave, and create a journey of one's own desire." Ikrit added, his tail flicking to the otherside, "I have taught several groups of students, and all have chosen to remain with us. The Dark Side is a dangerous foe, and one that often lead to self-destruction. The seduction to power is mighty, and brings great suffering."

Yoogle nodded, "Teach control, we can. We cannot teach you to become a Jedi. Show you the path, we will, while giving you guidance, and friendship." Yoogle smiled, attempting to send a positive, genuine vibration through the Force, "Welcome here, you will always be, if your heart is true."

Ikrit's head tilted to the side, then returned to it's formal position, "Do you accept our terms? That, our course of instruction is of your own free will? You are welcome to leave at any time, but we encourage you to endure and test your limits. In our teachings you will see both sides of the Force, and you will understand why we have chosen our path. If so, make your declaration, young one."

Though her self-training hadn't endeared her to the subtle nuances of the changing moods of the Living Force, Tash couldn't help but feel the rising and falling of various emotions as projected by Masters Yoogle and Ikrit. As they spoke, her mouth fell open. Did they know? Were they speaking a different doctrine because they knew what she had done? Was this just understanding on their part or were they accusing her?

Tash hung her head in shame. Irrespective of whether or not they were accusing her or being understanding, she couldn't come to understand her darkness by hiding it inside her. She fell to her knees.

"I need to learn control," she said, a single tear falling to the floor, "I killed someone and I need to learn how to not do it again."

Ikrit jumped out of his chair, and curled next to the young woman, and Yoogle shook his head, "Powerful the emotion of regret is, but perhaps, misplaced?" Yoogle comforted the woman, by placing his tripedal hands onto her shoulder, "Learn control, you will."

Yoogle pondered the way the woman had killed the man. Was it in anger? Or was it in self defense? There were many paths, from either of these options, and at this point, she wasn't limited to either of them. How long would she submit herself to the fallen man's ghost? Would it strengthen her, or destroy her?

Time would tell, and the amount of dedication she placed in her training, would be a deciding factor. And luckily for her, they had 'saved' several Jedi deep within the Dark Side, even some that would be considered far beyond redemption. These Jedi had seen, even performed the darkest, most vicious aspects. They would be a voice, perhaps, that she would understand better than Ikrit and Yoogle's. They would be able to guide her through the darkness, and give her skills of both redemption, and resistance against the lust of 'sheer power'.

"We do not hold judgement here, young one. We simply accept you, for who you are. We believe in protecting, and fighting for the greater good. We seek the redemption of all beings, bringing them into the clarity of the light. What did the man do, to bring his life to an end?" Ikrit inquired, as Yoogle sat several meters away and intercrossed his legs as though he was meditating.

Her answer, whatever it was, would provide a lot of insight on this woman, and why she had chosen to come here. She wasn't seeking to learn the darkness, that was certain, but perhaps, she had more potential than she realized. It took a courageous being to admit to their mistake, to realize they lacked control, and to seek guidance. To Yoogle's knowledge, not many learned to control, and submit to a teacher. The late Jase Denora was a fresh example to all Jedi younglings.

One could train, or harness the dark and the light, and become a worthy adversary, or a great ally. Yet, his sheer lack of control over the mind, and the Force, drove him mad. His inability to maintain the balance, caused him to parade every being he had slaughtered. His thirst for greater power, would reach its peek, before the Force twisted and turned his prowess, into nothing but bantha fodder.

Over three hundred years Yoogle had watched Jedi rise, and fall. He had seen their gifts, their 'understanding of the Force' diminish as the lust drove them insane. For Denora, it wasn't too late. His point, however, was near.

Control, was the first, most crucial step. And this pupil, had already understood it was a manner that only a Jedi could teach.

"We were making a delivery to the Corporate Sector. I wasn't even supposed to go along. I was the navigator; I never touched the cargo except when they were too lazy to lift it themselves. But weapons are banned on Etti IV and the Captain had a bad feeling about the delivery. And so I went along to an address that was supposed to belong to Universal Shipwrights. I should have known. Why would a shipyard company be operating out of some run down shanty in the back alleys of a Corporate Sector world?"

Tash took a moment to steady herself. She was beginning to lose herself again and the last thing she wanted was for that to happen in front of the Jedi Masters. She took a deep, shuddering breath then continued.

"It was an ambush. They killed one of my friends while our backs were turned. I didn't even sense it coming. I could have done something. I should have done something. Before I even knew what was going on, Evan was on his back. When I looked at him, I ... I lost control. I've been fighting the Empire my whole life, but that is the first time I have ever taken someone's life. I was surrounded by evil for pretty much my entire life. I have seen people use the Force for good and I have seen them use it for evil and I need to know; does the darkness lay with the Force itself, or is it the user that determines its reality?

Tash held her breath, waiting for one of the Masters to reply. She wanted an answer, yet she was afraid of what it would be. Was she just another incarnation of the evil that she spent her life trying to fight or was the Force, the source of strength that had gotten her through the early years, tainted by evil?
