Asgard foil mysterious assassination attempt
Early this morning, an attempt was made on the life of Colonel Jack O'Neill.
Fortunately, his life was saved by the timely intervention of the Asgard. This
attack has left the SGC (StarGate Command) reeling and has people asking
two simple questions ... Why? and How?

Witnesses are scarce, though speculation is rife that
only a spy could have pulled off such an attack.

It is now Day 1. Commence jumping at shadows, scaremongering and general paranoid behavior.

Well, huh. You voting for Derek just for a random roll claim, or is there some reason behind it?

He WAS, though... not anymore. It's not really associated with him any longer. Now he just keeps Shy warm at night. :p

And I know Brand or someone connected to him is a spy. ;)

Hmm. I don't think it is Ams... seems a bit vague. Last game, we all learned that role claiming is a bit pointless, but I also learned that lynching someone the first day, was a huge mistake.

If we are going to figure this out, we need another newspaper.

Derek Brand... though, you are always jumping to conclusions, and forcing a roleclaim on someone seems fishy.

If we expose the doctor, or a cop, we could lose them in the second night. We deflected an attack, we did something right.

VOTE: No Lynch or Roleclaim.

Could you be a bit more specific, besides "It's you, I just know it"?

Hmm, like Ams is trying to do to me? Without enough evidence to even fill a thimble? :P

You do have a point, yet I think it could be wrong.

Perhaps he is a cop, and he investigated you (Derek), you never know.

I, for one, wish to see one more newspaper. If the SPY clue is evident again, then we can move to action. I am not going to repeat the last game, and lynch an innocent because of a few miscommunicated sentences.

I stand by my vote for no action to be taken.

Unvote: Derek
My apologies. I was wrong. I rechecked... you're not, and never have been, a spy. I guess when you see some thousand or so characters, two or three will blend. :p

Now we need to look at the blasted paper again, in its sparse and spare glory.

This indicates the Doctor is an Asgard. Which... well, flies in the face of established canon. :p Clearly, it's a hint about the doctor's identity... and therefore, a person NOT to lynch. :p

If we are going by the spy clue, then Moff would seem to be the most obvious choice.

Im thinking we should probably wait for tomorrow's paper though, seeing as Moff has a tendency to get himself lynched even if he is innocent. :P

I agree with Arlyn. Seems sound to not risk exposing an essential role.

Vote: No lynch
