Until I understand this new system, I'm not even sure I have a financial problem. It's more of a 'if you move, someone will notice and then step on you' problem.

Until I understand this new system, I'm not even sure I have a financial problem. It's more of a 'if you move, someone will notice and then step on you' problem. That's why I need income, rather than liquid funds: to ensure I can grow steadily, rather than just make a jump and then stagnate.

World acquisition is the most popular way to maintain scheduled funds, and a close second is a good ally, or somekind of business contract. It's the contracts that keep me alive. :P

And it's those contracts with NPCs I'm trying to secure (i.e, expand into the economy of the nearby systems through roleplaying as my characters and fun stuff like that)

Not because I don't believe you, but rather because I don't understand, how will it do that? I just want to know, because the problem I face atm is an excess of funds, but a tiny income, and because of that, anything I bought/made would wipe me out with upkeep/continued fees, which is why I want to try economic expansion and domestic policies, but the RPG doesn't seem to allow it...

Can I get an answer from CMAC on that, cos I really don't understand the new system...

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. If you mean "will my previous assets and my years of existence carry over into the new system", the answer is "yes." Can we say right now that "each planet you have is worth 10,000 credits per week" and "each Tau ship is worth 100", no, we can't, not yet. We can't do an exact conversion because it will reintroduce flaws into the new system.

What I was asking was 'will the credits I have been saving for the past two years carry over', since I really don't understand what it means by 'asset' wipe since they do :?

Yes and no. You will not have the same number of units. But each credit is worth significantly more.

Awesome. So if I were to try out some of the stuff I'm asking about in the Suggestions forum, I should probably wait until that update happens? Is there an estimated timeframe for it?

So I shouldn't have deleted all the info about my faction's current money? :P
