Alright, so the cat's out of the bag. About a month or so ago, I approached Lazer with the idea of creating a webcomic based on Mass Effect (Not to worry, PG-13 is our limit). This was inspired by other great webcomics such as DM of the Rings, Zara's own anti-HEROES, and of course Darths and Droids.

Story (NOTE: Despite being set in Mass Effect, the real characters are college kids enjoying a bit of role-playing, much like other D&D parodies): The basic plot, set just after the events of Mass Effect, centers around a band of adventurers (I was gonna say 'hero', but then I might as well say the sky was green) who are hired by the Citadel Council for a perilous mission in the deepest reaches of the Terminus Systems...for a fee, of course. These three discover a plot aimed at the heart of the Council and rush to thwart it-or they'll never get paid!

Characters:
-John: The not-so mysterious DM of the group's games, John regularly invites his three friends over every week for a roleplaying session. Even though his games don't have very long lifespans due to general incompetence and laziness on everyone's part, John has spent months creating this game in the hopes that he has finally found the perfect roleplaying experience...
-Alex: A reckless history major who already has quite a bit of roleplaying experience, Alex's record speaks for her.
-Scott: The de facto leader of the group, Scott is younger than the other two roleplayers, but is definitely the most decisive of the three.
-Bryan: Despite everyone else's attempts to get rid of him, John frequently invites this six-foot 180lbs football wonder to their games, for reasons known only to him. Still, he has become somewhat of a friend, and grasps the basics of gameplay in the D&D universe.

Oh, and one more question before I go back to work. I've been thinking of using the stick-figure based style used in Order of the Stick for this, but do I need some sort of permission from Rich Burlew?
