The Vena Gambler's Plot breaks into three different categories.

The Gambler's Plot
Ideally appeals to the smugglers, the bounty hunters, and the other common, misguided souls of the galaxy

Podracing.
Quote:
A Prequel tradition, and I'll be generating a list of names and some stats, to which players can bet on. Everyone in this game started with 50,000cr. You want more? Here's a chance to double your funds, but with all luck, comes the chance of complete loss.

An interesting twist to the podracing is players have the ability to influence the outcome. Pay some credits, to inspire, to upgrade, or sabotage your opposing forces...

The Podracing Gambling Thread will make it's debut, and be funded by myself approx. July 9th. ((employment and ideas are welcome))

Sabacc.
Quote:
Something more original, perhaps? Sabacc tables will be set and geared for characters to approach and use their talents as a gambler to achieve and best their opponents. Starships, and credits are a few of the high stake prizes the House will host, but perhaps you will ante your own? No limitations...the stakes are that high.

Sabacc rules will be enforced, and the cards Private Messaged to the attending and competing players. When 23, or Negative 23 appears (or closer thereof), players will call Sabacc. ((Basic overview of the game.))

Chances to mingle with your fellow Sabacc, and generate some amusing, or expensive prizes pending your ranking.

The Starfighter Dogfight
Quote:
If podracing and a few rounds of Sabacc are boring, choose a sleek starfighter and enter the dogfight. A wild space course is provided...dangerous obstacles alone present enough challenges for the pilots, let alone watching the incoming fire from opponents.

This game is played in elimination. 20 Players Reduces to 10, 10 to 4, 4 to 2, then the victor wins an outstanding 1.3 million credit prize.

((Paid for by myself. Seeking Moderator and Players.
Entry Fee: 15,000 credits))

The Technological Convention.
The Planetary Baron wishes to invite the galaxy to tour the finest, and most advanced technological convention seen since the Galactic Republic. It's goal is to show the prowess of various vendors, offering companies to sell to the general public to private bidders. Companies can meet and discuss contracts, or sell their products directly.

If you need financing, present your ideas to corporations!

Hosted by Baron Omari. Co-Relates to the Mind Enhancement
--- The Baron Omari seeks to use mind controlling devices ((I know these are prohibited, but they are defunct and WILL NOT work, perhaps they worked in a few tests, but on a grand scale, they WILL NOT.)) I'm thinking a criminal organization will either be working with the Baron, or sabotage his efforts to take control. The Godfather, the Master, or another fiend can enter here.

Or maybe a hero stumbles upon the Baron's plan. Either way, feel free to tamper or destroy it.

The Brawl

I'm looking for a few force sensitives, light and dark, to attend for either of the above. And in the end, a decorative battle ensues over the city scape of Vena. The Force Brawl can either remain between the FS, or evolve to a planetary craze ((pending CMAC's approval, or how widespread the characters involved make it)). IC personal tactics can be used, but pre-determined outcomes are preferred. Let's make it dramatic, and remember that this fight, can lead to more, and an epic climax perhaps, like Luke and Vader in ROTJ.

Overall: I'm looking for people to come to Vena with their ideas. Either to the technological convention, and meet with other people to make their ideas happen, or to fight someone in the brawl section of the plot. It's not really death, or capture here, but I want to start a new story, a new plot line. Whether it's a rivalry, or using your character's darkest deeds, let's do it. Let's find something new and play around a bit.

Most of all, I just want to have fun.

Ideas? Suggestions? Inputs, outputs, and Corrections ((From CMAC?)). Let me know. I mean no harm, just to play. :P This is the pre-operation, and things can be mended and adjusted for your involvement. If it's just one player interested, I'm cool with that.

So.. what is this "Plot"? I am quite interested in the bit about the convention, where one can get funding for tech ideas...

Yay! Awesome to have you back, Alex. :D

If enough people participate in this maybe I could make up an online Sabacc game.

TechnoConvention sounds pretty good, too.

God help us all.

And as for your idea, I like the convention thing. For some reason, I could picture Tensig there, browsing the latest gadgets, all the while cursing how he can't actually afford anything. Ah, comedy!

Very interesting.

You can bet Han would make an appearance at one of these. ;)

So it's officially an awesome idea, but what is it specifically? Will it be a sort of traveling circus-type thing, or some building set up on some planet, and where will it be?

As a legitimate family businessman, the Master would probably attend...

I think a travelling, masked stranger would be most welcome in the combat arenas.

Excellent.

Since the heat is somewhat over at the Archer, at the moment, I'll be launching some preliminary plot lines after the Galaxy Ball II, and for those still interested, look forward to August.

The technological convention will be hosting all those wanting, and if you want some sort of major plotline, please contact me, and I'll work it in there. (Whether it's as big as Luke Skywalker, or as 'low' as working in a new character of yours, let me know!)

The brawl will be pretty general, at this point, but I hope to evolve it into something climatic.
