Latin is already protected as a form of Old Corellian.

(and is not a Balkan language :p)

Romanian is, and it calls itself the "closest language to Latin left".

...I think I used that for Thanagarian at some point. Though, it was because I was hooked on Dragostea Din Tei. Had to drop it because I couldn't get reliable translations.

No, no. Romania may be located in eastern Europe, but Romanian is very much a Romance language. Ask anyone, don't debate linguistics with me. :p

Romance means it derives from Latin.

Yes, it does. My point was "Romanian is not a Balkan language." :p You said it was, and also said it was related to Latin; it is related to Latin, and is therefore a Romance language, not a Balkan language. It just so happens that Romania is close to Greece (and obviously it was not the natives of Romania's original language, but instead it is the result of corruption of Latin which was forced on them by the Romans, rather like Spanish is).

Romania is in the Balkans though. Hence it is a Balkan/Romance language.

No, it isn't. :p It is a Romance language spoken in a eastern European country. Would you call Spanish an Iberian language? No, because it is far more related to Latin than it is to any of the native languages spoken on the Iberian peninsula, with the exception of some native words and family names.

Right. But it is not fit to call Romanian a Balkan language. Really, the only Balkan language is Greek. In fact, there is no modern Balkan branch of the Indo-European language family; just Proto-Greek. Well, and Albanian, I guess.
