What is so good about Bluray? I haven't been keeping up with technology, so I am legitimately curious.

It has more storage space; 25, 50, and 200GB discs compared to 8.5GB DVDs.

So you could fit, say, all 5 seasons of Babylon 5 on one disc?

Heh, I will say it is a pretty decent Blu-Ray player...

It's the most economically viable. :p Although, do note, most commercial DVD videos are not 8.5GB... only dual layers.

I'm usually not a huge guy as far as audio/visual quality goes, but you can notice the difference. When the PS3 was hooked up to our 720p TV downstairs, the difference was quite noticeable... if only we had a 1080p. Unfortunately, that TV died, and now it's on my smaller LCD (480p)... but since it's so small, it still looks absolutely great.

I ignored Kal and got COD4 for PC anyway :P

Oh my GOD I did not know a game could be so immersive and beautiful. Previous COD games were practically art (except COD3, not played it because it's console only), but COD4 is art. Beautiful.

If my 360 were still working I'd be able to enjoy it on the 52" Sony Bravia LCD display I'm getting today... :(

Beautiful until you play it on Veteran...

Beat Mile High Club on Veteran, then we'll talk. :P

Unlike some Kals I could mention (naming no names) I don't play FPSes on all the difficulty settings. I find that a bit... masochistic :P

Indeed. I like it when I don't have to kill three squads of troops with a rock and a song.

It can be masochistic for some games...CoD 4, Resistance - Fall of Man, and Turok to name a few...but I generally find more enjoyment on the higher difficulties in games.

For example, on normal and easy in most games, after wading through a squad of enemy troops I stand over their corpses, victorious, thinking, "Excellent...but it's not like this wasn't expected."

On harder levels I get a feeling of satisfaction after blasting the hell out of someone, I think, "That's right...I was outnumbered, outgunned, plain outmatched...but I still stand, here, over your broken and battered bodies. I win."

So it's not really me putting myself through hell, I just get alot more entertainment and a more gratifying feeling when I succeed, since I actually work for that victory. :P

I agree with Kal. I played Halo 3 on Normal to start out, and I breezed through it (And my Halo skills were nonexistant then). Then I played on Heroic. OMG, it's five times more enjoyable to run up to a Brute Captain and nearly get killed dueling him on Heroic or Legendary than it is sniping him on Normal because he stares at you from ten fricking meters away, looking like he's about to wet himself in fear.

I suck at shooters on Console though, so Normal for me would be like Legendary for you...

Trust me, you get better over time. ;) There's actually a huge gap between Normal and Heroic. On Heroic, the standard Grunt snarls at you before attacking with plasma pistol, needler, or even trying to kamikaze you with a pair of sticky grenades.

In Normal, he wets his methane rig and runs away screaming. >_>

Imma stick to racing games, flight sims and GTA on my PS3. Computers are loads better for shooters... more precise.

Yup, me too. I went to an internet cafe on the weekend to play Battlefield 2 and Counter Strike. On CS I spent more time dead than I did alive. I did alright on BF2 though; I was a Sniper :D

Yes, I read. :(

And no tanks... they wanted it more realistic.

It's exactly the reason why I'm picking up Saints Row 2 over GTA.

SR2 is going to have:
-Destroyable environments
-loads of weapons including chainsaws, chainguns, shock paddles, C4, etc
-loads of vehicles including aircraft, choppers, boats, bikes, armored vehicles
-fully customizable characters (size, weight, color, gender, etc)

The game will be on both the PS3 and 360 as well as PC.

Here's a vid showcasing some of SR2's activities.

And cars don't explode after running into too much crap ... the engine just stalls and refuses to start again. I'm looking forward to testing how sensitive they are, like if you shoot the radiator is it ultimately fatal to the engine?

EDIT: After watching the trailer, I'm gonna get both. I WANNA THROW PEOPLE IN FRONT OF TRAINS :D:D:D

Have they implemented the dreaded, predicted Seventh Star of Death? :p

If there was a seventh star of death, then I think it should be so epic that the city turns to ruins and your character gets roundhouse kicked by Chuck Norris. That would be an amazing achievement.

"The angels sang,
An immaculate chorus,
And from the heavens,
Descended Chuck Norris.

Delivered a kick,
That could shatter bones,
Into the crotch,
