The sun's rays shone brightly through the crystalline window panes of the dingy hotel, casting a river of light across Salla's sleeping features. The newly fallen snow acted as a buffer zone for the light, reflecting it in every which direction and making the intensity all the brighter. It would be nearly impossible for someone to sleep through such a magnificant display of radiance. And for Salla, that was the very thing that had stirred her from her deep slumber.

One eye slowly opened against the unrelenting light and caused Salla to wrinkle up her nose in disgust. Closing her eyes once again, she rolled over to face the other direction and was surprised to discover that the opposite side of the bed was occupied. What in the worlds, her mind screamed as her emerald eyes searched the stranger.

Human and male. That was a good start. He had a lean, muscular body that rippled with each relaxing breath he took as he slept. His head was a mop of brown, shaggy hair which could only be distinguishable as one person. Nevin Antilles.

A smug smile crossed her lips as the memory of the night before all came rushing back. They had finally confirmed their love for each other. After two years of denial and unsure emotions, their night had finally come and wow, was it a night to remember. Salla could still feel his delicate touch upon her body and the way he caressed her skin as he worked his magic. Their bodies had become one as they moved together in an intricate dance of love making.

Salla's head sunk deeper into the pillow as she studied the man resting beside her and clung onto the memory. The night had ended much too soon for both of them and Salla hoped with all her being, that another opportunity would arise in the very near future.

Reaching out with one of her hands, Salla stroked his form delicately as she moved along the length of his body, soaking in his scent and the sensation of his skin against her's. "Rise and shine, sleepy head," she whispered into his matted hair with a smile.

Nevin was slow to wake, even at her touch. He'd only fallen asleep an hour or two ago. It hadn't been a very restful period, though the trade-off was worth it. Hesitantly opening his eyes, he turned his head sideways to look over at the woman next to him.

A thin smile crossed his lips, the only effort he was awake enough to expell, as he saw her.

The look of his smiling face bearing down on her was enough to excite every nerve in her body and allow her to relive the time they had together the night before. Even with a few days' worth of stubble highlighting his prominant jaw, he still looked handsome. Salla truly wanted this man resting beside her.

"Took you long enough," she prodded with a slight jab to his shoulder. "We're never gonna get anywhere if you keep sleeping in till noon." Although her tone was light-hearted concerning their mission for the Alliance in front of Nevin, she still had many issues with the fact. If truth be told, she was very uncomfortable and couldn't wait to meet their contact and get off this godsforsaken planet. It gave her the creeps.

"So," she continued on, propping herself up on one elbow. "What's the plan for today?"
