I'm going to be taking yet another run at this game, as my writing skills have gone down the toilet for stories and such, and my English grade clearly shows it. Thus, I'm going back to VIII, for awhile at least, to brush up on my skills, and test the limits (as always). And if I could get my Noruas account working again, that'd be great.

Coruscant Services

What We Are: We are a montage of companies run by the Government of Coruscant whom serve people, and other governments for low prices, and unique ideas. We are one of the only companies from which you can rent ships, and we are also one of the planet companies that loans money and offers payment over time plans from other governments. We are a unique idea amongst the Galactic Governments, and we want to place a foothold in the civilian markets. To do this we will be expanding from our government only services to civilian style services.

Coruscanti Luxury: People like to look important, even if they are not. Therefore, a cheap limo service or ship rental company would be a massive economic platform to base our selves upon. This will be done by going to luxury ship and air speeder ports across Coruscant, and buying large amounts of luxury vessels. These vessels will then be placed under the control of the government of Coruscant who will then begin to rent the vehicles out to the people of Coruscant, after, of course, placing tracking devices on them. The price will be 50 dataries per day per vehicle. You can then use these products to look impressive for cheap prices, but not competitive enough that you will be forcing other civilian companies out of business. This will give a large GDP raise, as we will hire about 20,000 people and pay them each 1000 dataries per year (a large increase over normal wages). This and the rental will bring in much revenue for Coruscant. Once we are well established on Coruscant, Coruscanti Luxury will sell 49% of its stock on the Coruscanti Stock Exchange, to allow the people of Coruscant to gain great profits. This will only be done when the company is worth 510,000 credits.

Coruscanti Real Estate: This is one of our more complex ideas. What we will do is take durasteel scraps from around Coruscant, along with that produced by our construction droids, and move it to the moon Centax-1, where a small number of the droids, about 1000 (reasonable to assume that is a small number when comparing them to the size of Coruscant) will begin to construct a city area. They will take the old clone trooper staging area, which could house 20,000 people and change it into a large residence building for 10,000 people, each with their own room. This will be extremely cheap, since I am using recycled resources that are unneeded on Coruscant. They will then create factories, supplies being bought from miscellaneous suppliers across the ecumentopolis, which will create in turn electronic devices, such as comlinks, and droids, and landspeeders. We will then take 10,000 volunteers and move them to the moon, paying them 1000 dataries per year (substantial raise considering my per capita is so low) where they will work in the factories for companies that rent them out. The construction droids will continue to be given any extra metals and supplies and make residence buildings and factories and office buildings. They will do this until the funding of 10,000 credits has been dried up at last. These factories will then be rentable by Coruscanti companies for low prices so that they can bolster business. The city should be about 30 kilometers wide by the time it is done with its funds. We will also take all territory not within 30 kilometers of a city or residence on the moon, and we will then sell it to Coruscanti for low prices, which are 200,000 dataries per square kilometer (extremely low cost considering how big that is). There are likely about 2000 unused square kilometers that we will take. That will be a total of 400 credits revenue, and a lot of territory for companies to expand upon.

Coruscanti Services Part II

Coruscanti Real Estate Part II

The Coruscanti Real Estate business on Centax-1 is growing fast. Companies have been making great efforts to increase productivity there, and are hiring people from many planets, but sixty percent of these are from Coruscant. These people are then setting up businesses and forming what many are calling “mini Coruscant”. This will be attracting to the many poor of Coruscant as businesses and the government are supplying housing for cheap prices, and they are offering new jobs. Billions would flock to this new mini Coruscant, which would make the factories go up faster, along with other building, and by maybe Month 4, 60% of Centax-1 would be a small Coruscant, with the tallest buildings in the government district planned to be two thousand meters tall. Also companies would want to buy the remain 1,500,000 square kilometers of land, seeing it as a very promising business venture, and thus would buy the land cheap for about 350,000 credits. This will greatly improve the economy of Coruscant, as Centax-1 is technically still a part of the jurisdiction of the Coruscanti government. We will be offering transport to Centax-1 via our massive number of GR75s.

Coruscanti Food

Coruscanti Services will be creating a new food market with a wide variety of stores. Upon launch, there will be five types of brand name stores under Coruscanti Food. These will be Coruscanti Dining (a diner), Coruscant Candy (a candy market), CoruMarket (a supermarket), Fine Dining á Coruscant (a fancy restaurant) and Quick Coruscant (a fast food place). The government will give these people 20,000 credits to start the business. They will use this to buy food from Coruscanti based companies (boosting them greatly) and to buy property that is for sale, in good locations. They will also be allowed to set up shops on the new Centax-1 Mini Coruscant. People will go for cheap food, fine dining, and to serve themselves to good meals. This will not bring in much revenue, 30,000 credits to 50,000 is anticipated, but it will help Coruscanti businesses by buying their food products, and it will help along Coruscanti to save money, boosting their happiness.

Coruscanti Technological

We will be creating Technological as a technology superstore that offers almost anything to do with technology. We will buy products produced on Coruscant and Centax-1 factories that are sprouting up. Thirty thousand credits will be invested into this. People will buy from us, as they are wide supporters of technology after our recent film. They will buy cheap technology also, which will be a big drawer. This company will set up shop on Coruscant and build stores on Centax-1. Eventually it will spread across the Galaxy, but for now, we will keep it in system. Expect revenue from Technological is fifty thousand to one hundred thousand credits.

Coruscanti Services Part III

The Coruscanti Music & Film

This division of Coruscanti Services has been created to totally dedicate itself to the film and movie industry, giving stars agents, and discovering new talent. They will also create hundreds of movies per year, and scout all Coruscant and Centax-1 for the greatest talents available for Coruscanti enjoyment. While this will not bring in as much revenue as our other recent films at once, within five months the expected income of this company will be 550,000 credits (reasonable considering that it makes tons of movies and etc). They will also host contests to find the greatest musicians on Coruscant. They will buy rights to older movies, and to do all of this, 20,000 credits will be dedicated to this investment.

The Coruscanti Droids

The Coruscanti Droids will be created as a subdivision of Coruscanti Technological. It will sell all forms of droids, with a budget of 20,000 credits. Its expected income is around 45,000 credits. They will pop up in the back of Technologicals everywhere and they will sell wide variety of droids, with an even larger catalog. We will contact companies across Coruscant and the Galaxy to sell us droids for this venture. It should make droids more wide spread, and bring in great revenues.

The Coruscanti Personal Arms

To encourage personal defense and decrease crime, Personal Arms will offer cheap guns for self defense. This will bring in massive profits, even though only 25,000 credits are budgeted for this venture. People will need to buy arms permits, and then go to the stores to buy their arms, which will be no larger then a small rifle. Expected revenue is 75,000 credits. People will buy because of personal defense from thieves and murderers and from the Confederation.

The Moving of the Coruscanti Services

Goals: To not only become the largest umbrella corporation on Coruscant, but the largest in the Galaxy. To do this though, we must take over large portions of the Galaxy, through purely diplomatic means, and we must expand our current store selection to include things such as clothes, and other things such as the initial revenue from the Coruscanti Film & Music company.

The Expansion

We will be sending one GR75 transport to ever planet in the Kathol Sector, and if the Yuuzhan Vong/Confederation have moved on, then we will offer them the ability to rebuild their planet to the economic capacity that it was at before they were terraformed, and beyond. This will be extremely tempting to the ravaged planets, and they will agree to allow the Coruscanti Services (not Coruscant herself) administration over their worlds. We will also offer 1000 credits of relief aid which will be distributed to the families on said planets.

The Coruscanti Clothing

Coruscanti Clothing will be another sub branch of the Services which will offer fine clothes, and “hang out” clothes, almost anything imaginable, along with stuff that fits any species. It will be extremely popular, and trendy, as most clothing stores are. Twenty thousand credits will be put into this expenditure, and expected revenue is fifty thousand credits.

Other Results of the Coruscanti Film & Music

With the first few movies being released, many will be anti-Confederation and Yuuzhan Vong. These will draw massive revenues, and I’ll only assume two are out thus far. These will have costed 2000 credits per film. Each will bring in about 465,000 credits, since the money goes to the Services, which are owned by members of the Coruscanti government. Thus we will receive the revnues. It will also hopefully encourage some freelancers to align with the Coruscanti Government.

The Helping Movement

The Services have promised three Sectors aid, and we intend to give it.

Aid to the Kathol Sector

This is arguably the most difficult of all the areas of space to repair. First, we will contact the ex-Confederation worlds. They will be promised two uninhabited worlds, and ten thousand credits support for their aid in these ventures that we ask of them, including unterraforming planets, and their unique biological technology so that we may counter the Yuuzhan Vong and their biological comrades. They will then be sent back to their planet where they can peacefully exist. They will also be paid to take Vong ships and ideas and reverse engineer them so that the Services can produce them.

The planet Kathol will be terraformed into a shining gem by the Confederation. It will be once more covered in forests and swamps and marshes and plains, and then the creatures there will come out of hiding, and live peacefully in their new environment. Then, we will build a fortress-city on the planet and name it the planet’s capital. It will stretch out fifty kilometers by fifty kilometers (the wall that is) and inside will be residences, and commerce buildings, government centers, and other city-like structures. If any more space is needed, we will build another five kilometers north of it. On the wall will be placed heavy laser turrets, one every five hundred meters (approx. 500 guns) with two light lasers per weapon. This will hold of any outside invaders. Inhabitants will be called to serve in the military.

This city will be completed at about Month Three, and contain many many spaceports, which will encourage trade with outside peoples. This will boost the economy of Kathol five hundred percent. The planet will go from a 10,000 credit GDP to a 50,000 credit GDP, and this will only further the economic promises that Coruscant has made. Next, we will move on the other planets. We will build similar cities on each, but this time we will just expand existing cities. These cities will encourage much much commerce, and each will cost about ten thousand credits, considering that we expect companies to be drawn to it, as many are drawn to the Services. Next, we move our companies on world. The Services will make about fifty thousand credits here via it’s various business ventures. Once this is all done, the Kathol Sector growth will be three hundred percent, as it is open to limited, controlled trade and it is rebuilt beyond what it ever was. By next year, it will have a 450,000,000,000 datary GDP.

Next, we will offer a Small Business Aid Program, or, SBAP. This will offer small business help financially, and planning wise. We will offer economists who will then tell the companies how to improve, and we will give each a maximum of ten thousand dataries/three months. There will be no need to pay this back, and thus the sector will flourish. The next thing to do is, on each Kathol Sector World will be a large space port, which links it to the new Kathol City. Kathol City will have one then that links it to the Coruscant Route of Trade, which will be explained later.

The Minos Cluster

We will first reverse the damages done by the Yuuzhan Vong and then will get Kari workers to help rebuild the damaged cities and planets, and then Coruscanti Food will send large amounts of food to Karideph, which will make them work harder as they begin to grow in population, but they enough food to support said growth this time around. With about ten billion new willing workers fixing the planets, they should be repaired soon.

Also, on Perigtor we will build a city exactly the same as the one on Kathol. This city will also have a large spaceport, and the spaceports link to Pergitor, and then they will join the Coruscanti Route of Trade. The SBAP will also move here, and so will the Coruscanti Services herself. We also hope that enough troops will join via a campaign that would allow the Cluster to defend itself again, that no droids must be sent from Coruscant.

The Subterrel Sector

Here we will replicate everything that was done on other world, except that we will further expand the mining capabilities of the Sector, and the capabilities of the Polis Massa Space Station.

The Coruscant Route of Trade

This Route will link the worlds of the Minos Cluster, Subterrel Sector, and Kathol Sector with Coruscant and themselves, allowing for more direct, cheap trade. This trade route will be untaxed, and swiftly, the planets will be merged with Coruscant – they will be fully economically a part by Month Five.

Movie

Across all these worlds we will release all movie made by the Services recently, as will we open the on Coruscant. With at least twenty new movies in completely different fields profit should be extremely high.

The War with the Confederation at Home

Premise Behind This Mission: This point of this mission is to get recruits into the Coruscanti Armed forces and to make money to fund the war with the Confederation of Biotechnology and their horrible monstrosity. This will be done through multiple means, including through film, through games and through books. These three combined make up a great market of Coruscant, and these three things will bring in revenue and create an anti-biotechnology feeling, so that instead of growing weapons, we build them, and the Coruscanti can finally bond over one cause – the cause to stop the imperialistic Confederation.

The Movie Industry: We will be creating a movie that shows the Battle of Karideph. It will show the valiant men aboard the Coruscanti Fleets, and then it will go to a falsified set of a monstrous indoors of the enemy ships, where giant tree like creatures, made of hideous green vine reside, and lead the fleets of the enemy into battle against the heroic men of the Second and Third Coruscanti Fleets. The battle will rage on, and the Coruscanti will see how their brothers and sisters fought off the enemy biotechnological monsters with their technology, but their victory will be short lived.

With two capital ships of the enemy down, the movie will go to the enemy moving up massive shield ship type craft. These then open their mouths to shoot out blasts the wreck the Coruscanti fleet, and dramatic music is played as the heroes on the Coruscanti ships try to evade and shoot down the shield ships, but fail. Then, the fighters will be dispatched, and epic music will play as they go on one last heroic charge. They will be destroyed to last. Then one ISDII and VSDII will jump to hyperspace. The movie will last about one hour and fifteen minutes. It will make the Coruscanti see what they were fighting – and that thousands of their comrades had already died in the fight, and they would continue to fight.

The Government of Coruscanti will tax 2 dataries per ticket on this movie, and we expect it to gross about 300,000 credits to 550,000 credits as those are both reasonable sums. It will also boost the DP of Coruscant, as people will grow attracted to Victor Rusmov, who has done nothing but help them since his institution as leader. We will also sell the rights to this movie for 450 credits to a major movie company who will then broadcast it across the Galaxy for a large profit for themselves and it will get brasher peoples to join the Coruscanti Military, especially those of Corellian descent, who are the boldest and proudest people of them all.

The Video Game and Books: We will create a video game targeted to teenagers and young adults, that will allow them to simulate the battle of Karideph, and countless other battles with the Confederation. They will only be able to play as the Coruscanti forces. This will teach they about military life, and it will grow their hate against the Confederation, who to them will become the ultimate enemy, whose monster threaten to destroy the universe. This will encourage to join the military and do other pro Coruscant things.

The books will be a series published by Coruscant and will be sold at no profit. They will describe the terror of the sight of the enemy, and it will describe how honorable the Coruscanti are. It will create a certain bond amoungst Coruscanti and then it will get them to work together, thus raising DP and minimal profit.

Contest of the Brightest Minds: We will be holding a contest to design the capitol ship and the best fighter possible, along with tanks. The winners will receive grants of 5,000,000 dataries, or 5 credits, which is an extremely large sum for smaller companies and research groups. We will take the best designs then and put them into production, thereby we gain cheap ship designs quickly, making us seem superior over the enemy.

Seizure of Imperial Assets Otherwise Known As Operation: Swifthand – DPOL Part One

Background

The Imperial Bank is located in the Financial District of Coruscant, and there is nothing to prove that the bank has ever moved its headquaters offworld despite the fact that the Empire no longer works off Coruscant. Thus, we can only assuming that Stormtroopers are still guarding the massive facility in the Finance District. It would contain the bank accounts of Imperial Loyalists, the Imperial Planets and lost funds from the Galactic Empire, which we assume in total is a massive sum of money which would total up to 1,000,000+ credits considering that it has branches across the Galaxy and there are presumably long lost funds from the Empire that not even Bastion knows about.

The Propaganda

To start this project, the Empire must be completely and totally disloved by Coruscanti civilians, so that we can take over the funds without any problem. The start of this discomfort will be in a program called “Republic Day”, which will celebrate every Month 7 Day 4 the Republic’s capture of Coruscant from the Empire. We will place posters around the planet to advertise the coming of this day. The posters will be designed for the people of Coruscant to fall in love with the democratic idea, along with hating the idea of dictatorship. For example, one poster will have pictures of the Imperial Fleet and Palpatine and saying, “Remember their history. Remember who they are. They are not you, not anymore. Democracy prevails!”. Another will show the Republic fleet engaging the Yevethans saying, “Democracy. It has prevailed over countless enemies, and they would shortly overthrow it at a moments notice.” to signify the besting of dictatorships by the New Republic and her democratic forces. These posters will have the funding of 25,000,000 dataries to spread the message across the planet, since they should be extremely cheap to produce.

The next step is to show what the New Republic has done for the Galactic Economy, and point out multiple points. The first is that despite being evacuated under the New Republic and the economy being essentially cut off by Grand Admiral Thrawn in his wars against the New Republic when it was young, that the Republic has help Coruscant maintained a good growth rate, with minimal taxes compared to the Empire’s absurdly high taxes to maintain their fleets of Star Destroyers to terrorize worlds while the newly established Coruscant Defense Force has maintained a limited military presence to keep taxes down. Point number two is that the New Republic maintains economic freedom. Under the Empire, Coruscant had to shut down small businesses and let big business prevail. When the Republic came to power though, the economy was loosened – small business flourished, and the presence of big business was diminished, allowing smaller businesses to succeed. This will be done through a series of holovision commercials and posters across the planet. To these means a total of 100,000,000 dataries will be spent. It should get the message across quite well, and people, especially businessmen, should begin to gain Republican loyalties, while beginning to grow tired and vengeful to the Empire.

Another step will be the creation of films. The filmography industry is strong throughout the Galaxy, and we can only assume that creating movies and documentaries for people to see on Coruscant will raise the awareness of the Imperial Issue, and it will increase the popularity of the New Republic Policy which will be outlined later. The first “trilogy” of films will be a representation of the Galactic Civil War through different points of view. The first will be through a Rebel Troopers point of view. This trooper will be witness to many horrid Imperial massacres, and he will valiantly fight off Stormtroopers before his death at Hoth where he is tortured then killed by Imperial troopers. The second film of the series will be of an Imperial Officer who carries out mass executions with no regret and even laughs when he watches a fleet destroy a planet. This will outline the horridness of the Empire. The third film will be of the Republic-Yevethan War that happened not too long ago. This film will show the engagements, and what the Yevethans did to all non-Yevethan worlds in their Cluster during the “Great Purge”. It will also show what the New Republic did for the Galaxy by holding them off, while show that the Empire did nothing to prevent these battles.

These movies will have to be advertised and shown in theatres across the planet. Therefore, though we will not make it mandatory viewing, we will make it mandatory showing at all holo theatres across the planet. The film will have a mandatory 1 datary per ticket that needs to go to the government of Coruscant to help us fund the film project. With a standard film costing about 20,000,000 dataries to make, the trilogy will cost only a mere approx. of 60 credits, which is a rather insignificant sum. This film will not only educate the planet, but it will bring in revenue for the government. There will also be posters, and commercials to advertise and to these means 40,000,000 dataries is allocated. The viewing should be seen widely, bringing in at least 400,000,000,000 planet wide [OOC: In America along films make up to 400,000,000$, it should be rightful to assume that on a planet with 1.7 trillion people that at least 400 billion will see the movie]

Once all of these goals have been accomplished, we expect that other news and television programs will begin to create anti-Imperial type moods themselves and do articles and stories on the Empire and her horridness. The government expects massive revenues from these advertisements and expects the domestic popularity, or happiness, to go up when people realize that they are in the greatest organization in existence during this timeframe. It will also increase the GDP of the planet with the film markets booming, they will make more money, and hopefully people will protest to buy Imperial products (resulting in massive GDP drops to all Imperial worlds as Coruscant is the trading center of the Galaxy) and they will all go to buy Republic manufactured products instead.

The InterGalactic Banking Clan

Now, the InterGalactic Banking Clan may pose a threat to our existence. They will get unhappy with the anti-Imperial sentiments that the government of Coruscant is creating, therefore with all of these newly released materials to discourage business with Imperials, the banks of Coruscant, which likely outnumber the banks of the Empire, will vote in the Clan that, while they keep a strong presence on Muunilinst, the headquaters of the Clan move to Coruscant. Now, not only will this make them feel morally better, but it will also make more business sense for the Banking Clan, and Muuns, being greedy beings, will likely not oppose the movement either.

Why does it make business sense? Coruscant is located at 0,0,0 the center of the Galaxy – and a massive trading center, the biggest in the Galaxy. More loans are made here then anywhere else, especially because of all the poor people. They could also regulate loans much easier here then on Muunilinst. With so many big banks now within reach of the IGBC their business and income will surely go up. Now, the more income will draw them, as will the free trade that Coruscant provides, and with trillions of people to do business with, and with their headquaters on a New Republic world, their business will boom. We also have reason to believe that Cato Neimodia would support us also as they would like the extra revenue brought in by the nearness of the Clan to their world, and the free trade agreements open to them being a “part of the New Republic” in essence. With this new Emperor in command too, the Muuns would be extremely wary about the power that they will keep over their Clan, as they were treated with little respect under Palpatine, and there is no reason to believe that Fel will be better. He has the power to seize their assets whenever he chooses, which would make them almost want to move, and thus the Muunilinst banks would also agree with this move. They can think that he will seize power from threats by the government to planets saying that they will raise interest rates, which makes it seem that the government is seizing at the IGBC’s power.

Operation Swift Hand Part 2 – Intelligence Action

Background

There are many valuable materials in the Galaxy, one of which that is not produce by Muunilinst is Aurodium. It is worth several hundred dataries per ounce, which is quite a large amount of money if we can get together pounds of the product. Presumably about 1,000,000 ounces will give us 60,000,000,000 dataries. That is no small sum.

Locating the Mineral

Of course, we have to find some of the stuff. We strongly think that it will be somewhere in the Outer Rim Territories thus we will dispatch small intelligence ships, which are just freighters that are all interlinked so that communications can be heard from any of the ships, though the program can only be done by voice authorization, finger print authorization and retna scans by both crewmen and it self destructs if otherwise done. These will cost about 100,000 dataries a piece, and thus we will take 1000 of them for about 100 credits. They will be sent to the Outer Rim to find us Aurodium that we will then mine and process, and send to the government treasury.

Imperial Intelligence

Another key part of Swift Hand is that the Imperial Defense Forces be known to Coruscant. This should not be hard with the New Republic loyalist now on Coruscant, we will recruit a diehard merchant who believes the success of the Republic is the success of the Galaxy. This diehard will be sent across the Imperial planets, doing normal trade with the Empire, but they will then examine the Space Forces of the Galactic Empire and relay all of the information back to the Coruscanti Intelligence Agency. The ship will be secretly rigged with explosives, and if he is found out the ship will explode, killing him and all information with him. He will also only relay the information once he is out of Imperial Space so that the Empire cannot track or intercept the communication.
The Coruscanti Design Initiative

This program has been started by the Coruscanti government to create ships that in some ways can mimic what the biological ships of the Confederation can do, and to produce cheaper, more powerful fighters for the Coruscanti Defense Fleet and for her allies.

This vessel is anticipated to cost four credit per unit, worth about one TPC per squadron and cost about ten thousand credits to design. Since it is a relatively simple ship, we will expect it to be done in three months. It will be a fully functional droid starfighter, using cheap technology. The only thing that actually needs designs is the hull. It would only be producable in units of twelve (squadron) thus the estimated four credit price is for a squadron. They will only be controllable as a squadron but they will also be able to control themselves independently. With Holowan Mechanicals owned by Coruscant, this should be a cheap simple project, since they are masters of droid technology, as we can clearly see through their innovation know to the Galaxy as IG-88. They will give some of the independence of that droid to these, but not enough to make it think on its own. They will be programmed with every tactical maneuver known, and they will have processors that will let them change or create new tactics depending on the varying situation. They will all have an override that Coruscant can activate at any time.

[i]The Factor is being produced as one of Coruscant’s unique counters to the Confederations ability to spawn ships. These new ships will contain thousands of tons of products needed to produce squadrons of our latest droid fighter. They will be somewhat expensive, an estimate is about 9500 credits per piece, which is extremely high. They will not produce the fighters for free, but they will do it cheaply, and it will be useful to produce new fighter squadrons in the midst of battle. The Total Production Capacity of each ship is about three squadrons per factory per hour. Whilst TPC is extremely expensive if one is to expand upon shipyards or existing factories, these ships will be able to produce ships much cheaper, as they are mobile droid factories. The factories will add 2000 credits to the ship, making it about 11500 to produce, but it will be worth it. They will also not produce fighters unless told to by the Coruscanti Government. They will be able to produce the 12 squads per hour, but they will not be able to create more then 24 squads per day, as that is all the factories programming will allow. They will cost about 1200 TPC to build on of these vessels, and it will cost an estimated 65,000 credits to research, and 11500 credits to produce.

They were meant to counter the Yuuzhan Vong. I need self-production ships to match theirs, and I needed to secure the territory they took for the Republic (I was Coruscant and the Empire was gaining territory fast, I got three sectors under my command, the second largest fleet in the game and 3,500,000 credits [alot of money]). Unfortunetly my people rebelled before those designs were put into use against the Vong.

Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome guys. :)
