Avaritus had been in his meditation chamber for three hours, deeply immersed in the force, searching, and probing. His efforts so far had gone unsuccessful in locating his target, but he would find him, or her. He was searching for someone with the right feel. Someone who could be brought to the darkside. An apprentice.

For a year, Avaritus had focused on almost nothing but training, and battle. Spending countless hours meditating, and the same amount of time in saber practice with Vader, and others he selected. His duel one year ago with Carnor Jax had taught him a few things. That he was not the most powerful force user in the Empire besides Vader, and that he still had obstacles before he could achieve that title, and patience. His haste had nearly gotten him killed. While aggressiveness was fine, in excess, it could be dangerous for him.

Just as he was passing over a large collection of force users, one mind stood out. A mind that wasn't completly corrupted by the Jedi's outdated beliefs, and sentiments. A mind still open to certain aspects of the force. Avaritus focused to create a link with the mind. After a minute, Avaritus was sweating, and growing weary from the concentration, but he had established the link between his mind, and the Jedi's. He could sense other Jedi clustered around this one, so he made sure to limit the scope of his call to only the individual he was connected to.

Avaritus then spoke into his mind. After his message was delivered he sent a sense of urgency, and the need for him to come into the Jedi's mind, and then broke the force-link. Standing up, he moved to the door of his meditation chamber, and set off towards his quarters. He was tired, and needed rest. He hoped Vader would not sense what he was planning. If the man did, Avaritus was sure to be killed. Once he awoke, he would speak to Jendob about enrolling into the Soverign Protectors. That would give him an excuse to head to Yinchorr. There, he would train his apprentice, once he came. Not only that, but he could train as a Protector. He both loathed, and respected Carnor Jax for his defeat a year ago. The man had more control than Avaritus did, it was obvious. Avaritus needed to train, and learn that control, and obtain the degree of skill the Soverign Protector had.

Moving into his quarters, he went over to his bed, layed down, and fell asleep. Tommorow would be a very long day.
