“Lionel Wright”
“Excuse me?”
”Lionel Wright, Attorney. I’m here about the Solo case.”

The woman at the desk gave him a look that was somewhere between ‘oh, ANOTHER one’ and ‘you’re kidding, right?’. No doubt she was getting tired of the stream of lawyers who were going through the channels required to try to get in on the action.

“You’ll have to wait in line.”
”I’m prepared to wait.” he said with a grin. Oh yes, he could wait all freaking day. All freaking week if he had to.

The Security Chief had been gone for less than twenty-four hours, and the office had went to hell. Leanna watched as the man who called himself Lionel Wright took a seat, his expression relatively positive versus the hundreds that had come before him. It was insignificant compared to the millions of firms that had contacted the HQ the moment the case was announced...

With Han Solo under house arrest, all legal help had to be screened, background checked, and all other precautions taken. One of the most 'limiting factors' a firm or 'lawyer' faced, seemed to be the credentials.

She began with some of the other firms, sorting and weaving them out.

With only 104 out of 1,865,003 that had applied, Leanna called out. "Lionel Wright."

She waited for the man to approach so she could collect the necessary information. Resident Number, and all the legal information that needed to be pulled up in response.

Just provide the basic information, you can sum it up, or whatever. She'll look it over, send the information through the computer, which Eve will check, then the information will be sent back about a minute later, and the okay given. I can roleplay this out with you, or you paraphrase in your own post.

Arlyn will meet with you, after Han Solo has selected you... : )

That had been faster than Lionel had expected. Not faster than he had hoped, but when he had prepared himself to wait all day, he had been very close to expecting it to actually take at least all day.

But that didn’t mean he wasn’t prepared. He knew the information that was needed – address, residential number, his law degree, and so on – and he had brought it all long, just in case he was pleasantly surprised. And as it turned out, the pleasant surprises weren’t finished, as it took less time than he had expected for the information to be processed and confirmed, especially under the circumstances. If things kept going this well for him, it be a very good day indeed.

Next up was Solo himself.

A blue speeder parted from the emergency lanes of the skyline and landed on the top of the building. A few seconds later, the white wings emerged before being ushered inside of the building. Walking into the conference room, she dived into conversation, "We have a situation."

Her eyes scanned each of the guests she had requested, "I want all sectors working overtime. Pull, hire, train, recruit. Do whatever it takes." she slammed her fist downwards, "Sark is on the loose, and I want him found. He'll be coming to Denon. Check all incoming traffic, anything that is suspicious and gives you a warrant to check, do it."

The captains looked skeptical, the odds of finding such an elusive man seemed far more difficult than anything they had attempted before.

"Chief, we are moving your family to a secure location." one of her chief, personal advisors spoke, breaking the odd silence. "All of them. If bounty hunter reports are on the rise, we have every reason to believe additional attempts will come in."

Arlyn agreed, especially with the personal communication she had recently had with the guild.

"We also have Han Solo's trial. That'll consume a lot of our resources." another voice admitted. Han had finally chosen the legal attorney, and it was a man of very little legal and political victories. The prosecution, however, would hire the best, to be sure.

With a sigh, Arlyn retired to her seat. The room taking it's turn to express concerns, and in rare occasions, offer small bits of hope. As the conversation dully continued, she couldn't help but feel as though Sark was already on Denon. He was just waiting for the right moment.

The steps of the Rebellion Security Headquarters were monumental. They stood for each rigorous step the organization had to take, in order to seek and protect the justice the Rebellion stood and fought for. The steps were long, elegant, and as each one passed, Alexander grew more aware of their presence and the undying faith they held to the principles. Rising towards the front gate, Alexander entered, his mind completely consumed with guilt and the oppression... my god, the oppression.

Alexander wanted to scream, his heart not aligned to the task ahead, but he had no choice. His agency had been taken, and he had become nothing but a drone of the Hand. A tool, a pathetic tool.

A strange garden existed in the front, as he walked towards the front gate. The melody of the music playing represented the freedom Security had protected, and the art of their work, perserved such liberties. Taken and forged by hundreds of worlds, the 'Gardens of Security' bloomed and ushered an unseen beauty. A combonation of powerful design and critique that masterpieced the finest of greens.

Alexander walked carefully, his pace not altering, but his mind exploding with resisitance.

Sark had terrible things planned, terrible inhuman gestures of revenge. And that was not the task or path of Rambaldi.

His heart conflicted, but it was too weak to fight his conscious.

"Ma'am." her secretary started over the intercom, and judging by the tone, something required her attention. "Alexander Risso, the boy that Commander Evelynnn Starr had rescued, has returned. He wishes to speak with you, immediately."

The thanagarian moved across her desk, the fingers tracing over the keypad and the holo cam that watched the front office revealed the blonde hair teenager standing and waiting for the clearance. What had happened to him?

"Send him in."

An army of shadows existed around him, Sark's drug had taken the mind of the teenager, and once again, he was lost.

The security building had become a living hell, the brimestone and fire engulfing him as he stopped in front of the clerk's deak. The woman growled, blood pouring from her lips, landing on the desk of human constructed organs. With a hiss, it spoke, "You may enter."

Alexander's heart raced, and to avoid the blood thirsty woman, he stepped inside of the room. The door slammed behind him, and as his eyes met the creature inside, he screamed.

A massive vulture stood, it's wings outstretched and the claws filled with blood, skin and other humanoid factors. A few eyes dangled from her chin, as though plucked from the victims, and she approached. A crow of hideous portions echoed from her, "Do you need a doctor?" she asked, but what was heard by the drug induced teenager was, "Prey. Die.... nowwwwww."

A deep yell pierced the Security Chief's office, his mind switching into gear from what Sark had programmed him to do. He had given specific instructions,

Inject the winged herald with the serum, and you will find serenity.

Leaping from his seat, Alexander pulled the vial from his side and slammed the needle into the woman's neck. The creature screamed, her cries screeching into the darkness of the room, causing Alexander to move unexpectedly. There was movement at the door, and shortly after, the blood thirsty demon entered.

Without a moment's hesitation, Alexander silenced the woman...

As the boy entered, the thanagarian could tell he had been through hell. He stepped in, his eyes burning red, with a strange fear that twitched throughout his body. She approached him, her voice calm, letting him know that she was here to help him. "Do you need a doctor?"

The boy leapt backwards, fear overtaking him and his eyes looked as though they saw a monster. He reacted, faster than Arlyn could've anticipated and a needle penetrated her neck. Whether it was her days at the Intelligence Academy, trained by Luke Skywalker, or pure instinct, she reacted.

Her elbow slammed against the teenager, causing him to fall backwards and her wings sheltered her face as she pulled the needle from her vein. Covering it with ripped fabric, it was only a few moments before she noticed something was wrong.

Three masked speeders pulled up to her office window, weapons were used to cut the blaster proof glass, and they entered the room.

The men were forceful, but the drug had taken it's effect.

Alatáriël Pallanén-Davad went quietly in the mid afternoon, slightly before the lunch rush hour.

Jase walked into the waiting area quietly, behind a young boy who arrived ahead of him. He wasn't sure whether the bird would believe his sense that something terrible was soon to happen on Denon. But, considering her known acquaintance with Yoogle, he was sure it was worth a shot. Besides, he knew she still needed a reason to see past her despise for his lethal ways. Perhaps if I can prove to her that I am trustworthy. If she'll listen to me...

He put in his request to see her and sat without another word. The boy went in first, as he knew would happen when the lad had cut him off in the hall. There was something familiar about him. Something that seemed to nag at the back of his mind. As he heard a commotion in the office, he suddenly realized it. A glimpse of a memory, just a sliver of recognition. The youth had been with Eve when Jase had ended the would-be thieves on Obroa-Skai.

He bolted from his seat as the secretary began to stand shakily, afraid to see if she should intrude on the happenings in the room. Activating his lightsaber, he cut a hole through the durasteel as fast as he could, kicking it in just in time to see three speeders roaring into the beginning of the lunch rush. " Frak...," he said quietly, regretting the fact that he didn't have a blaster on him and that they were too far to give chase to. Turning his head to look at the youth, who seemed to have the eyes of a lunatic, he reached out with the Force; slamming the boy into the opposing wall and swiftly holding him their by the throat with his free hand.

" Where are they going, boy?," Jase seethed, edging the tip of his purple blade towards the young man's forehead. " Tell me and I will make your demise quick."

The boy coughed, his lungs not able to take much more of the emotional stress that he was undergoing and now the emergance of the new demon scared him more than anything in his life. This monster had cut through the walls.

Sark lied. He had said, it would end when winged demon was poisoned. Alexander vomited, he couldn't believe that he had trusted Sark. He had been like a brother for the past year, and now this!

Alexander couldn't remember why he rejoined the Hand. The Priest on Muunilist was right, he was weak towards the manipulation, and he fell for it. Alexander vomited again, not listening to the demon that was before him.

Risso had killed one of his greatest friends; Jake Callahan. He shouldn't have listened there, either.

"I don't know!" Alexander screamed at the derranged individual, then a loud booming noise was heard. Something technological was activated.

It was terrible, it was so loud.

But to Jase, it was a silent whirl. Something from Arlyn's footing had been activated and a holo-projector emerged. A light flickered, and soon, Eve appeared.

To Alexander, it was an angel. The angel that would forgive his sins, that would bring him to a world where pain and feelings of regret no longer existed. This is what Sark was talking about. This is how it would end! Sark was right!

"I'm here, angel!" Alexander called to her, his eyes beaming. Finally. It would end.

* * *

"Jase. Bring him to Saint Caprica's church immediately, he's been poisoned." Eve looked at the boy, "Don't allow Alliance Security to question him, he is already fading into insanity. I'll meet you the-"

The holo projector deactivated and swirled away as three Alliance guards entered the room. Their guns trained on Alexander, congratulating Jase for his capture.

Jase growled as the youth vomited on him. " Insolent whelp...," he snarled, pushing the boy harder against the wall. Now his anger had been fully invoked. It wasn't enough that th bird was gone. No, now the brat thought he had the balls to stain Jase's clothing. Preparing to strike, he heard a faint whirring sound and a click. Eve, or at least a hologram of her appeared in the room. She said the boy was poisoned. The he needed to meet her at St. Capricia's Church before it was too late. As three guards burst into the room, blasters trained at the youth, Jase shook his head.

You owe me for this one, 'droid... Looking up at the guards, he quickly applied pressure to a nerve on the boy's neck, dropping him into a safe state of semi-consciousness. As long as the youth didn't vomit again and choke on it. Deactivating his lightsaber, he placed it in his robes and sized up the men. They were simple Security guards, they wouldn't have had enough mental training... Waving his hand lightly, Jase spoke, " The boy needs medical attention before questioning. He has been poisoned, one of my people will be better at reviving him."

The guards nodded and spoke in unison, " He'll need medical attention before we interrogate him. One of your people can handle poison better than ours." Jase nodded politely and hefted the limp form over a shoulder, leaving the office.

Medical Room 047

"Mommy is sleeping." Isabel's voice received a growl of protests from her brothers, before Ryan placed his finger over his mouth to signal that they were all too loud.

With a groan, the thanagarian stirred, her mind reflecting both on what had happened, and the strange absence of pain. Ryan rose from his feet, his eyes darting to Irina, and without hesitation, she scooped up all three of her grandchildren, and swept out of the room.

"They didn't have to leave." she croaked, without opening her eyes as she wasn't quite ready to face anything, yet.

"How are you feeling?" Ryan's voice was closer than she thought, and before she knew it, his fingers were slipping between her own, grasping her firmly. She didn't need to answer him, as she pulled him into the medical bed, her wings adjusting so he could lay beside her.

Ryan's arms moved, overtaking her body, and within them, she felt secured for the first time in three days.

"Good." she answered, pulling him closer.

"I was worried." he started, but she nestled her head into his shoulders, and his voice carried off.

"I was too." the truth wasn't meant to be hurtful, but she could feel him tremble for a moment. The thought of losing each other was almost unbearable, and it was for this reason, why Ryan had requested the children be sent out. He didn't want them to see a 'broken' father. "Ryan, I-uh." she tried to speak again, but he held her closer, and tighter.

"It's over. It's all over."

And together, they cried.
