Okay, well, I know I made an art thread before, but this time it won't just be for me. Or for just art, for that matter. This is a thread for anybody to post their concept art of any medium and share it, as well as receive feedback from others, so feel free to comment. For those of you who don't know, concept art is when an illustration (or model, painting, rendering, etc.) is used to show an idea or design.

I guess I'll start with a few of my recent pieces works.

Well, I was planning on waiting for someone else to showcase some of their work before I went again, but it's been awhile, so...

Anyhow, what I've got today are all some form of a futuristic heavy cargo aircraft.

This one's been dubbed the C-117 Condor, a large forward swept cargo plane that was influenced by two of my favorite Russian flying machines (cookie to anyone who cane name them);

Oh, and BTW; if you're wondering why some of these have 'ODE' on the sides, it's because it was a very nice place-holder.

This one is probably the weirdest of the concept's I'm sharing today. It's basically a really aerodynamic super-large cargo VTOL.

Yes, that small thing underneath it is a person.

Next, the 'Stealth Transport.' One day I thought, "Hmmm, they're aren't any stealth transports (that we know of anyways). Not only would they be useful and stuff, but they'd probably look cool too." And so I made this.

Excuse my amazingly awful handwriting. Ironic, isn't it?

Finally, the 'Stealth Airship.' I had a slightly similar thought process with this one as with the transport, but not really. Basically I wanted some sort of cool lookin' airship of the future and after a little thought wondered, "Whata 'bout a stealth one?" After a few minutes, the menacing dirigible emerged.

I might use this for something in 2084.

Sorry about how messy these drawings are. They're pretty much all concept and no art, so they're not to fancy. If you like them I may redraw them into something more acceptable. In the mean time, post your works too!

Definitely a lot of Berkut. You get the cookie. I love that plane. The other major influence is the An-225, that large beast of an aircraft that currently holds the world record for size.

The problem with that cargo plane design is that cargo planes need wings that can generate a lot (And you have no idea how serious I am) of lift.

Forward-swept wings are worth less than crap when it comes to this. They're only good for maneuverability and dogfighting. On a heavy cargo plane, it's like putting a propellor on a space shuttle and expecting it to reach orbit.

I realize this. Their true potential is their amazing angle of attack and low high-speed drag, making it perfect for fighter jets. I just thought that I wanted to make a really big one.

Alright, Xaph, I hope these blueprints come in handy. Drew 'em yesterday but didn't have time to post them. Note that I drew the abdomen to skinny and the general body to tall in the side view. Otherwise, fairly consistent with the picture.

I knew drafting would come in handy.

My idea for the ribbed underside was some form of flat black, or maybe metallic. I think the eye'd be blue. I'm not sure about the main paint, though. Nothing too flashy, but a little exotic. Whites, steel, black, gray, brown, are all open. It's up to you, I'm interested in what you come up with.
