"Hey, scum!" Brokna roused from his sleep slowly, rubbing his eyes tiredly as turned over to face the door. The guards glared through the slit in the door through which they had shouted. It was closed again, before anything else happened, and Brokna relaxed again.

He sat up in the bed, sitting cross legged when he realised it was only wake-up call, which although was a rock by normal standards, was one of the better ones in the prison he had heard, just about the only luxury given to the officers, except a slightly bigger food ration.

Brokna pulled up the sleeve of his shirt, glancing at the scar which still remained from the wound he recieved a year ago in this very place. That was the only thing he himself had gotten out of that day, and a few medals which he learned to wear proudly. That and a promotion to Commodore, and the friendship of some good people. Including the one he'd ended up here with.

Shifting about on the bed, the Commodore wondered what had happened to Solo. He hadn't seen him since they'd ended up being picked up. It was a bit stupid taking a shuttle to their destination, they'd been picked up almost too easily by the Imperials. Even the exceptional piloting skills of Han hadn't held the off long, and they'd been captured.

But that had been a week ago, and he hadn't seen his comrade since...

Raven Istella walked down the cooridors of the Lusankya Prison, something she thought she would never see with her own eyes. She managed to be given an assignment to interrogate a Rebel Alliance prisoner. Never before she thought Ravik would hand her something she wanted so dearly.

The guard behind her kept an eye on her, and surprisingly, it was under Ams Jendob's orders. Apparantly Elena had caused far more trouble than she was worth.

Brokna was behind his cell when Raven arrived and had the doors opened. The guard excused himself outside as she entered. She knew several security devices were present, so she displayed a smug look.

"Rebel Scum, Colin Brokna." her cold voice identified the prisoner.

Raven moved into the cell and closer to the prisoner, his skelton body laid before her. "Get up" she smothered coldly. His eyes met her and he rose slowly. Raven walked forward, knowing perfectly well this man would never harm her. She moved close to his body, her hand slipping under her uniform. She pressed her body against his and kissed him, while reversing her hand under his prisoner uniform. She played his chest then released pulling towards the door in disgust.

"Brokna, you broke my heart once." she was referring to his existence in the Empire and the relationship they had shared in secret, "You won't do it again. I was sent here to investigate your proceedings. Are you attempting to break out of this cell?" Her eyes glared. Please just tell the truth so this can be handled.

There was a series of clicking from the heavy door, as it swung open and an Imperial entered the cell. "Rebel Scum, Colin Brokna."

Brokna continued sitting on the bed, staring at the ceiling, but ultimately failed to ignore the Imperial as his curiosity got the better of him. The Commodore turned his head, to the woman who had entered the cell. Her ice cold glare somewhat liquified Brokna's smug look, and he scowled, staring at the floor as he propped himself up on one elbow.

"Get up."

He didn't rush to comply, but ultimately did comply as he swung his legs over onto the ground, standing up. He still did not speak, instead scowling at the Imperial.

What happened next took Brokna completely off guard, as she kissed him. He wasnt quite sure what to make of the situation, until he felt her slip something into his belt, his shirt falling down and shielding the object from view.

The next second he was pushed away. "Brokna, you broke my heart once." The scowl on Brokna's face returned, this time playing along with the plan, whatever that might have been. "You won't do it again. I was sent here to investigate your proceedings. Are you attempting to break out of this cell?"

She glared at him, and he returned it. "It is the sworn duty of all officers to attempt to escape. Do you expect me to forget my duty? Of course I'm going to make an attempt sooner or later, dear."

"It is the sworn duty of all officers to attempt to escape. Do you expect me to forget my duty? Of course I'm going to make an attempt sooner or later, dear." the Rebel traitor had stated. Raven stepped forward, placing her hand on her holster. She wasn't going to draw it like Elena had, but it was a visual that would continue the line of truth.

"Brokna, did you honestly believe you would be able to escape this prison?" she asked with a cruel smile she took a step to the door as it opened to reveal a stormtrooper.

"We've confirmed he has tried to escape." her voice was cold. 'Why did Ravik want someone to interview this prisoner if any intelligence he provided was over a year old, unless he knew...

Any access codes, formalities and systems this man had access to would have been immediately changed and locked out. Perhaps it was a trap.

He had no value. Before she left her eyes met his, "Unless you have some valuable information that will help save the Galactic Empire from your oppressive little faction, I'll submit my papers to place you on the execution list." Her eyes moved more playfully, "If you feel the need for another visit..." then the anger of the past returned, "give me a call, hun."

And with that, the doors slammed shut and she was escorted out of the Lusankya.

At Brokna's statement, the Imperial stepped forward, a hand hovering menacingly over her holstered weapon. He tried not to flinch, still glaring at her.

"Brokna, did you honestly believe you would be able to escape this prison?"

"That has no bearing on my actions," Brokna said firmly. "My duty is to harass the enemy to the best of my ability, either to force you to use troops which would otherwise be on the frontline to search for me during an escape. Or for you to use an inordinate number of troops to guard me."

"We've confirmed he has tried to escape," a Stormtrooper who had appeared at the door said.

The mysterious Imperial stood staring for a moment, before concluding the conversation. "Unless you have some valuable information that will help save the Galactic Empire from your oppressive little faction, I'll submit my papers to place you on the execution list."

That got Brokna's attention. He frowned at the notion of execution. It seems the Empire really hasn't changed.

"If you feel the need for another visit..."
she said playfully. "Give me a call, hun."

The doors slammed shut as she left.

"I'll do that..." Brokna said, sitting down on the bed.

Execution...

It seemed the Imperials didn't care about the rules of war. Brokna was a uniformed combatant, who had surrendered to them. That clearly disqualified him from any kind of harm. Not in their eyes it would seem.

It had been a while since the Imperial had been there, and Brokna was willing to gamble that the plan ended as far as providing him with a weapon, and that the mysterious woman was not, in fact, returning to aid in his escape. He felt the bulge, still in his shirt, definately the shape of a blaster. He hoped it worked, and that it wasn't some kind of Imperial trick to find an excuse to have him killed by having him try to escape with a fake blaster.

From the routine he had got into over the past week, Brokna knew that the guards would open his cell door soon, to provide his food. At that point, he hoped to be able to surprise them with his weapon and escape the cell, at which point he'd break for the hanger, and try to find Han. Normally he would have focused solely on getting away, but he owed the Commander-in-Chief from when the last time they'd been here together. Han had seen to it that Brokna was safely put aboard the escape craft after he had been wounded.

Also, there was the fact that Brokna couldn't fly to save himself, which was something he rather intended to do in this particular flight. He only hoped that Solo was in a condition to fly.

There was a mechanical noise coming from the heavy durasteel door, which roused Brokna from his planning. He gripped the blaster in his hand, placing it under the pillow on his bed but keeping his hand on it. The Imperial guard entered, placing a tray of food on the ground near the door, before backing away. Time to strike. He pulled the blaster out, training it on the guard in seconds. An alarmed look appeared on his face and he made an attempt to reach for his weapon but was too slow.

Brokna depressed the trigger and a bolt emerged from the blaster, screaming towards the Imp but taking what seemed like minutes to reach him. In almost slow motion, the shot struck him squarely on the chest and he fell, hitting the ground before long. Brokna dared not freeze, jumping up and running to the door of the cell. From there he could see a Stormtrooper approaching with haste, obviously having heard the blaster shot and moving to investigate.

The Stormtrooper had foolishly exposed himself by running towards the cell in the open, and it only took one shot from Brokna to down him in an instant. The now-escaping Commodore ran out towards the dead trooper, watching carefully for anymore Imps. He shoved the blaster into his uniform trousers, picking up the Stormtrooper's E-11 Carbine, looking down the corridor, and spotting a computer terminal.

Brokna had been lucky thus far. His escape had not been detected immediately but he suspected it would in a matter of seconds. Hoping to get as far as he could before it was, Brokna ran off towards the computer terminal, to search for the whereabouts of Solo.

Brokna marched alongside the two Stormtroopers down the corridor, surprisingly content after his re-capture, in that his hands were unbound and he was not compelled to try and run or overpower the troops. For he knew that right away he would be discovered and there would be no escape. Even with his life.

No, further escapes would require planning, require more resources. Resources he intended to acquire, but at a later date.

The group arrived at the entrance to the main prison corridor, where the cell doors lined the walls, at neat intervals. There was an Imperial officer waiting. The group halted, and Brokna's uniform jacket was taken from him and searched, while he was no doubt scanned for other equipment. It didn't take long, not much more than about fifteen seconds.

"Cooler."

"Right," Brokna said, snatching his jacket back. He started forward again, guards by his side.

Isard opened the door to Solo's new "quarters." How he got ahold of the security holo, she didn't know, but heads would roll for such wanton sloppiness in the otherwise airtight operations of the Lusankya. She suspected Zend, personally.

"Good morning, Commander," she said, almost cheerily. "I see your rebel friends are attempting to fill your mind with lies again? Come with me. Let's get off this base for a bit."

The small datapad which allowed Han to connect to the Holonet moments before, flicked off as the door to his 'renivated' cell opened. Han stuffed the small device into his shirt before craning his neck over his shoulder to look at Isard as she entered.

He blinked his blood-shot eyes a few times to clear away the lack of sleep before standing up to his full height. The conversation he had been holding on the Holonet had been hampering his mind for the past few hours and prevented sleep from overtaking him. Instead, he laid awake for hours with the small datapad in hand, hoping that something would change or someone would be able to provide a better explanation. But in the end, he came to realize that what Leia had said was the truth.

A scowl crossed his features as he slowly began to saunter his way across the room to the door. "Lies?" he spat to the icy woman's face. "I think its been you spewin' the lies."

The woman raised an eyebrow. "Have I now? Come with me, and we'll talk. I thought you might like to get out into the air for once."

The developments were disturbing indeed. It had been four days since the procedure, the tendrils of his programming had already taken root. But, they could still be stymied by certain stimuli. Isard was going to remove them.

"I ain't up to talkin'," he growled before turning his back on her. Han had enough of her lies and deceitful nature. After all, he was this close to being returned to the Alliance. It would only take one more thing to push it over the edge but still, he paused. His hazel eyes searched the creme colored floor as his right hand rubbed against the cold casing of the datapad. Maybe this could still work out to his advantage. If he could find a way to escape...

His back was still turned to her as he began to speak. "But on second thought, I am kinda hungry," he admitted with a sly smirk. "Would this little 'outting' involve breakfast?"

Isard took careful note of his tone. They'd both be under escort anyway, and these men did not miss. But all she really cared about was reinforcing his programming slightly more. It wouldn't be hard, either... she'd barely have to lie at all.

"Yes, we can stop for breakfast if you wish," she told him. "And I believe Moff Jendob wishes to speak to you later today."

Han spun on his heel to face her once more, his gaze locking with her two-toned stare. "I don't wanna talk to him," he glowered, pushing past her and onward toward the door. "Actually, I don't wanna talk to you either."

Before he was able to move out into the corridor, a dull pain at the base of his skull stopped him. He ran a hand through his hair and stopped it over the source of the pain with a wince. He massaged the spot for a few seconds before the pain finally subsided to something more bearable. He shook his head and focused back on the woman before him. "So, how 'bout that food?"

"It's about your possible return to the Rebellion, Solo. I would think you'd be either glad or horrified. And yes, let's go," she answered in a disinterested fashion. "Follow me, please."

Two guards were waiting out in the corridor as Han push his way out the door. He stopped and glowered at their faceplates before whirling back around to address the woman behind him. "You said it would be my choice. Why do I have to talk to him for? If I wanna go, I should be able to."

Isard groaned mentally. She wondered if the needle might have been slightly off target. "All I know is he's offering to get you back earlier, if you want. He apparently didn't deign to tell me anymore before signing off the comm this morning."

She paused and studied him a moment. "Now, do you want that food or not?"

That two-toned gaze fell on him and Han quickly diverted his eyes away from her to focus on the floor. There was something in that icy stare that was suggestive and entrancing. He was afraid if he looked at it for too long, he would fall back into that foggy stupor which resulted in all those words on the Holonet that he didn't mean.

"Earlier?" he scoffed as he began to walk down the hall. The guards noticably shifted at his movement and turned to follow him. "I don't care 'bout timing. I'll go along with things at my own leisure."

He stopped for a moment and glanced back at the woman. "But somehow I doubt that's what you wanted to hear, is it? And takin' me out for a romantic dinner as the sun rises? That ain't your brand of spice either." He clenched his jaw while pretending to study Coruscant's orbit just outside a nearby viewport. So close, yet so far away... "Whaddya really want?"

"Hardly romantic, Solo. The Rebels have demanded you back, and Jendob will likely give in to them. Consider it something of a last meal before you're sent back into the den of lions," Isard commented.

She began to walk to the door. "Now, would you rather institutionalized meals, or something not mass produced for cheap cost and cheaper quality?"

"And you consider that a bad thing?" he taunted her as he began to skulk down the hallway in her shadow. What was really irritating him was the fact that she continued to play him as a fool even after Leia and the others had proved her words to be lies. If it weren't for the guards watching them like a couple of holo stars, Han would've made the jump on her right then and there and silenced her lies forever. "I think it's time you rethink your plan. Maybe I wanna head back."

Han's eyes narrowed as he stayed focused on the back of her head. "Speakin' of which, you still haven't answered my question."

Isard was beginning to become angry with him, but she hid it under her veneer of a blank, expressionless face. "And what might that be? What do I want?"

She paused, as if considering. In reality, her answer was already pre-planned. "I want to show you a small gesture of kindness. Is that so bad? Or would that challenge the brainwashing the Rebels have attempted to perform on you?"

"It's a simple question, for you. Do you want to go to breakfast someplace other than this base or not?"

"Kindness," he muttered under his breath as they approached a turbolift tube. Han shook his head and scoffed in disgust. "If you want to be kind to me, how 'bout just letting me go then? Or wait, is it really you doing the brainwashing?"

Han had noticed the annoyance in her voice as she continued to ask him about their destination, but he had every intention to keep ignoring her until she gave him a straight answer. In fact--

His train of thought was lost as an excruciating wave of pain shot through his head and knocked him clear off his feet. An agonizing groan escaped his mouth as he stumbled into a bulkhead, his hands now clutching his throbbing head. Everything around him was lost as he felt the edges of his vision beginning to go black.

Isard heard Solo's groan of pain, and turned quickly... mostly to watch. The implant was functional, all right. But given that he was only holding his head, the offense must've been minor, as the small device could stimulate areas of the brain to simulate any degree of pain in any part of his body.

Despite her joy at his suffering, Isard knelt down, and placed a hand on each side of his face, forcing him to look at her. "You're having another attack. You must remain calm. Bring order to your thoughts. Peace to your mind. Calm yourself," she said soothingly.

Her commands to him contained several watchwords that would help stop the pain, since the implant would stop stimulating the neuron clusters. The perfect control device, really. Wrong thinking was rewarded by pain, thus resulting in a natural prediliction to avoid such thoughts. But Solo had received only a miniscule sample of what the implant could deliver.

"You mustn't get so worked up," Isard cautioned. "You're still very sensitive to excitement." She paused, then asked her old question. "Now, do you wish to get something to eat?"

That two-toned gaze peered into Han's anguished and terrorfied face as the woman tried to calm him. He began to fight against her grip and attempt to escape her so that he could seek his own outlet of relief to this nightmare, but slowly, the pain began to subside on its own until it was nothing more than a dull ache. Han was left sprawled on the ground, confused and breathing heavily.

His unfocused gaze searched the corridor before coming to rest on Isard's face. "W-what was tha--what's wrong with me?" he stammered. Han couldn't recall anything similar happening to him in the past and the only explanation he could come up with was that something had happened to him on Bespin....or maybe she wasn't lying?

Shaky hands thrust up from their position on the floor and pushed away the woman's hands which were still resting on his face. He didn't need to be babied - especially from this woman. "I'm alright," he tried to assure her, his earlier tone and false sense of security returning. "I just--" he paused as one hand searched frantically for the wall. When he finally found it, Han slowly began to lift himself from the floor. "Yea, food sounds good," he admitted, trying to change the subject away from what had just happened.

Isard helped him to his feet, fairly uncharacteristic for her. Then she led him down the vast maze of corridors within the planet-bound destroyer. Eventually, they came to an airlock, dressed up to look like just another hatch. They passed through, and walked through a long, false corridor that led through the repulsorcradle. Only Isard knew it was false, however, as the passageway was designed to exacting standards to match those found in the Lusankya. Most prisoners didn't know the Lusankya's true identity, though a few might have.

They entered an underground hovertrain station, the only way to the surface now. Well, the only way Solo was going to see. They boarded the train, which shot off into a dark tunnel. No lights, no landmarks existed in the tunnel, which twisted and turned under the massive cityscape. There were numerous false paths, as well, in case there was ever an infiltrator on foot.

The train reached the destination after five minutes, offloading the Rebel and Imperial officers. They made their way to the surface, exiting from a nondescript building and onto the street. Speeders whizzed by overhead. The red-clad woman flagged down a taxi, which immediately pulled over.

"Where to?" the droid driver asked.

"Clarendox... smooth ride, too," she ordered.
