Taylor stood in front of four other storm troopers, all armed and ready for combat but their mission was not one that involved any fighting.....well not ideally. They were ordered to transport a very valuable package from the 'Catalyst' to a secure holding cell. He assumed this meant it was a prisoner of some sort and would require additional man power should an escape attempt be made. He watched as the first of two ships scheduled to land arrived, the 'Mjolnir' was huge, obviously a symbol of the Empire's technological superiority to any other faction in the Galaxy.

This was a spectacular ship but it was not the one they were waiting for, before long the 'Catalyst' arrived, it was as large and awe inspiring as the 'Mjolnir', maybe even more awe inspiring. Making their way to the ship, Taylor could see what looked like a statis pod being unloaded. Colonel-General Scyntor, Kalydon Skirata, General Mejaque Khryss, and Maximillian Corsova were all onboard or departing the ship and he wanted to move quickly so they wouldn't have to waste time kissing ass. They knew their mission and where to take the package, they just needed the package. Heading over to the statis pod "Is this the prisoner?" Taylor said.

The men that unloaded it didn't say anything but nodded.....how rude. Gathering the necessary equipment the group of storm troopers escorted and lead the men to the holding cell. Once they arrived Taylor punch in a few keys on the control panel and "Holding Cell #3" opened. "Put it in there, I don't care where" he said as the men do as they were told. Punching in a few different keys the cell closed and locked itself, the statis pod inside. Turning to the storm troopers he had accompanying him "Well, I guess you four weren't needed anyway, escort these people back to non-restricted areas while I make sure everything is okay here" he said. The men moved off while he made a few checks on the control panel, all security systems were running fine and nothing was wrong that he could see.

The Stormtrooper cadet that had taken the prisoner did not register immediately on the Colonel-Genereral, his thoughts were wrapped up in the situation at hand. From a portable data module, he had gathered the basics of the being in the stasis pod and found him rather interesting. The interviews would be underway soon, as soon as the facility was ocmpletely secure... but to do that and not appear threatening, perhaps the stormtrooper armor would have to be replaced with the less imposing dress uniform. Turning to General Nebulax, Scyntor spoke in a quiet voice. "General, keep the personel you post here limited to those that have already seen it unless absolutely necessary. The cadets that had brig duty are to receive new quarters in this wing, receive compensation and leniency towards the classes they will be missing, and briefed on the sensitivity of this situation."

Nebulax nodded before turning down one of the side corridors that led back to the primary administrative offices, two Stormtroopers walking in perfect step in his wake. General Khryss was still aboard the Catalyst, as well as Maximillian Corsova, still working with the treasure trove of data found in the battered transport. From what Scyntor had gathered, the information contained in this project would augment the research into their Dark Trooper projects manifold, and cut years if not decades from the total project time, as well as billions from the budget.

Scyntor entered the main interview room, Kalydon Skirata at his shoulder. The Colonel-General had not requested the man come, but he did of his own volition, another testament to the impact their fight had on those that observed it. Scyntor paused a moment as he looked at his surroundings, then turned to one of the orderlies. "In the archives, we should have some relics from the Clone Wars. I want you to find a table of Nemodian design, with some Commerce Guild-comissioned sculptures and some tapestries from the Corporate Alliance and the Banking Clans. Get them, and apportion this room accordingly - I want to make sure we don't repeat the incident out on the plains."

Turning to the chief security operator, Scyntor took two steps. The man subconciously saluted, a tremble to his hands: he had never been in the presence of the Colonel-General before, and the angle of Scyntor's shoulders suggested a hostility that was not there. "the trooper that personally handled the pod to this place... I want him present during the interviews. He seemed in a hurry to get out of here... I want to know why. Though, I have to admit that his unwillingness to kiss our asses lends something to his favor. Find his name and designation, and have him report to the interview room in ninety minutes."

The security officer saluted again, and nearly tripped over his feet as he raced back to the control booth, leaving Scyntor alone with Skirata. For a long moment, silence passed, until the Colonel-General whispered, "I'll need your help on this, Kal... you are the best analyst of combat styles and the warrior mentaility I have ever met, and if he proves himself technically worthy of a position of authority, I'll need you to tell me whether or not he can be trusted with it."

"I understand, but I can tell you right now I don't trust him. He's not a natural human, he's an experiment, a weapon built for war. Who knows what the Seps did to his mind, what safeguards they may have left behind?"

Kal looked back at the thing, this "Zero", and smiled under his helm. Standing in full Mandalorian armor he expected a not so warm greeting from the prisoner when he awoke. The ominous T-shaped visor would probably remind Zero of the Clone Troopers that his government fought against, the clones of the Mando'ad.
Deep down Skirata wished Zero would lash out and give him an excuse to rip his throat out, vengeance for all the Mandalorians his faction had killed...however he held a vice grip on that emotion. Now was not the time for it.

"Nevertheless, I will do as you ask."

Taylor was ordered to oversee the interview.....or in his opinion, the interrogation of the prisoner and he always followed orders. He had the pod moved to the interview room a while ago and had only to arrive, release and watch the prisoner. He quickly pressed the button next to the door that led to the Interview Room and waited the split second for the door to open, he had his storm trooper dress uniform on as ordered and a concealed light blaster on the back of his belt, just in case.

As the door opened he quickly scanned the room, it was decorated in confederate furnishings, much to his surprise. Two men he recognized as Kalydon Skirata with his infamous Mandalorian armor, he hoped one day to have some of his own.....it not only provided excellent protection and flexibility but would strike fear into all. The other man was Thanates Scyntor, a man he one day hoped to match in both rank and reputation. They sat at a desk next to each other, with a chair opposite them, obviously for the prisoner. Taylor raised his hand in salute to the two higher ranking men than him, before proceeding to the statis pod.

It didn't take long for Taylor to open it, the pod let out a loud hiss as the door slowly opened upwards to and the prisoner awakened slowly. He stood at the ready, next to the pod so that he may act if needed to. He hadn't even looked at the prisoner yet, although he didn't really care. His hands were behind him, held against his lower back as he waited, it not only allowed him to look respectable but also gave him quick access to his weapon.

The light was near blinding as it his eyes. He slowly awakened from stasis, weakly raising his left arm to shield his eyes from the lights of the room. What had happened? Where was he now? He had remembered a fight. Pain, he remembered pain in his chest before the world had spun into darkness. There was none of that pain now. What exactly had happened? Had he been dreaming, he certainly believed it was a possibility. He needed to find out what was going on. Needed to know what had happened to the disc, to the one thing that drove his existence.

He blinked and slowly lowered his arm to his side. His mouth felt dry, incredibly dry and his tongue stuck to the roof of his mout. He also noted his stomach felt incredibly empty, much more empty than was to his liking. He looked in front of him. The room seemed to be furnished in a way....familiar...to him. He couldn't quite place it, it was a blur of comfort in his mind. Something he couldn't quite remember, yet it made him feel safer, more at ease.

Until he saw who sat at the table. It was the man he remembered fighting earlier. Yet, he did not appear injured, either. Next to him was a man in a suit of armor that set off warnings in Zero's mind. It brought back the feeling of an enemy, yet, there was no movement to suggest that they were here to kill him. Nearer to him was a third, unfamiliar man. Zero stepped into the room cautiously, clenching his fist at his side.

He was wary, but there had been no move made on him; and, this room had been made to make him at ease. He figured that was the only reason it was like this. He wanted answers, badly. " Who...you? Why...this? Not..kill...me? Why...you...me...here?" Inwardly he prayed they could understand his broken Standard. He couldn't speak it as well as he wished to, but he was sure they would not understand his native language.

Thanates Scyntor regarded the man a moment, barely hearing the hissing of the doors as food and drink was brought in and set before Zero. The Colonel-General took a moment to note the one before him, the sound of his voice and his posture in a way that he had not been able to on the battlefield of Carida. The stunted Basic told him that the man was probably taken around the age of 8 or 9, when the language skills of his native planet had taken root, and had not been deigned to be tought Basic given his experimental purposes. Scyntor would make a note of it in the archives, to add a vocal modulation translator to the armor being reconstructed so that he wouldn't have to struggle through the lessons.

"Please, eat and drink your fill... yuo've had a rather rough journey. To answer your questions, My name is Thanates Scyntor, and I am commander of all Imperial Stormtrooper forces. I have brought you here, against the advisement of two of my closest advisors, because I have a strong interest in learning about you... your history, who you are, what made you into what you are today. I am a curious man, Zero, and I would like answers to my questions."

Scyntor paused to see his reaction, muscles tight for any hostile reaction on Zero's part. Inwardly, he prayed that Zero would recognize that if he did do anything in agression, he would not survive the assault. The xenos, even if he was a part of a Confederate experiment designed to wipe out the Republic, would still be a valuable trove of information and skill which the Colonel-General had use for... and in return, perhaps the Stormtroopre Corps could become his new family, a chance at a normal life that Zero had been so ruthlessly been taken away from. It was a selfish way of looking at the matter, but the alternative for him was death at the end of a forty year-long stasis, surviving the ravages of space only to be executed in a holding cell.

"At my shoulder is Admiral Kalydon Skirata. He is a Mando`ad, and expressed his particular vehemence at me not allowing you to survive. The Confederacy took a large toll on his people, and he is rather anxious to have revenge for his fallen fathers and brothers. I have brought him here to try to convince him that, while you were a Confederate guinea pig, that you do still have enough intelligence to allow the past to be the past, and to move on with us. I would strongly advise you to remain calm and to answer the questions I present to you, though in exchange I shall not press any questions concerning classified portions of your life."

In reality, Scyntor had all of those documents either on file, or readily accessable through the derelict transport's computer systems. There was no need to inform him of that now, though, it would prove to be a valuable beacon into the honesty and trustworthiness of the man siting before him.

Zero raised an eyebrow, there definately seemed to be no hostility in this man's demeanor. Of course, that couldn't quite be said for the one he called "Skirata". Despite being completely covered in armor, Zero could feel the malice towards him. This man definately had something against him. Confederacy? He remembered nothing of this. The only thing that he could truly think of was the urge to secure the information on his armor and have it rebuilt.

He sat down warily, grabbing some food and water. Taking a bite of a piece of fruit and then a gulp of water, he eyed the men as he chewed slowly and swallowed. Something came to him, a distant thought, nothing he could tie to his existence, yet seemingly worthwhile. " Mando'ad...strong fighters..good men..." He took another drink of water, draining the glass and refilling it eagerly. " Not sure....if enemy...don't know...who enemy..." He looked Scyntor in the eyes, his emrald gaze studying the man's expression. " You....strong man....fight good... Imperial? Confederacy? Don't...know... Zero...my name...don't know...many things... Memory....not there...," he said, tapping the side of his own head.

" You....not enemy? No kill me... want know me? Me...not know self..." He took another bite of the fruit and then some bread, chewing thoughtfully. " Not know....why here... Not know....where from..." He felt a pain and coughed violently, gripping his chest. No, this wasn't an injury from the fight, this was the need for the armor, slowly taking it's toll on him. He knew he didn't have long. Perhaps merely a month, after being in stasis for so long. " Need...armor...," he said, looking into Scyntor's eyes pleadingly. " Where...disc? Need...armor..."

"Ths disc that was in your transport has been recovered by our top scietnists and engineers. We have already broken through the Confederate security protocols and are manufacting your armor as we speak.

Scyntor looked at the man. No recollection of who he was... everything that wasn't drilled so far into him that it became instinctual, like fighting, had been wiped form this man. Given the thoughtful expressions and the way he paused his eating even after over forty years having not tasted a single morsel, told Scyntor that the xenos was telling the truth. The armor was important, as he had already found out... his dependence on the neural interfaces would render him uncocncious or catatonic soon.

Scyntor turned to the one-way mirror at the north side of the room, voice lifting slightly."Commander, please contact General Khryss aboard the Catalyst, tell him I need an update on the progress of Subject Zero's armor. Patch him through to the transmission systems of this room, I want to make sure our guest hears how close his lifeline is to complettion."

Turning once again to Zero, a slight smile took his lips as he withdrew the rose from his lapel. As his eyes lifted slightly in deep thought, he reached across the table and laid the rose across the top of his plate, the only instance of natural beauty in the room. His voice was sympathetic, the rumbling bass of the man's tone making the durasteel quiver with the pitch.

"Tell us what you know, so that we can understand. You are a being of extraordinary skill, and I would rather not loose so precious an asset. Tell us what you know, and we will make sure your armor is finished to the exact specifications or beyond, make sure you can get back to something resembling a normal life. Help us help you, Zero."

A classic interrogation tactic, one Scyntor had with some detatchment... but, even so, carried within every facade is a grain of truth, and perhaps the mindwipe could prove to be in Scyntors favor... allowing him to indoctrinate the man with a proper code of morals and decorum, perhaps elevating him beyond originally anticipated... that is, if he got Skirata's confirmation.

He sat there, arms crossed, silently watching Zero, not moving a muscle. He was observing the thing's reactions to the questions asked of him, and it seemed as if Zero knew nothing of the Separatists, that he was their experiment, a weapon. Skirata almost pitied the man...almost.

Zero's vocal skills were simplistic, yet he was able to get his point across as he started babbling about his armor. At the same time, Scyntor began bargaining with him on giving Zero said armor in return for information. He claimed to be there to help him, classic interrogation; seem like a friend to cut through the crap and find out the truth and everything else.

Skirata continued to sit and watch, he noted that his appearance disturbed Zero to an extent, Good, he thought to himself, you'll be less inclined to lie then knowing that there's someone not four feet in front of you who will kill you without a second thought.

Zero watched them carefully, wishing he could simply get his armor and be gone. He didn't even know why he was the one to weild it. Nor did he know it's purpose. He didn't know that his memories had been wiped lest he be captured. That he was to be brainwashed and mentally reprogrammed once the project had been completed. He ddin't even know that it was a rare genetic fluke that allowed him to wear the armor. A mutation in the DNA that kept it from destroying him immediately after removing it. Only because of these things, was he able to survive as long he could without it.

Of course, he could not tell him this. He simply did not know. However, lack of memory and insufficient training in Basic did not make him unintelligent. He could tell what this Scyntor was doing. Trying to play the nice guy, to lull Zero into telling him something? Why? What was this tactic for? Couldn't they understand he had no option? He would gladly do whatever they wished if they could simply provide him with the armor he needed and perhaps some semblance of a life, as well.

He looked up at Skirata, his green eyes studying the man's suit of armor, trying to look past the visor. " You...no like me. Mando' ad, no trust...I...know, it okay... You quiet... no speak but if have to... Good man... I sorry you know can trust I... Not me fault... but not know why...Want to know..." He nodded as he finished, trying to offer the armor clad man a small smile before turning back to Scyntor.

He grabbed the end of his waist length blond hair and began stroking it softly, this was beginning to take it's toll on him as well as the lack of his armor. Stroking his hair helped him focus, he needed to focus. It was difficult enough to convey what he wanted to say to these men. " Why act friend? I... no need.. inter.....interro....gation....speak... I want help... You see? I... nowhere home... I not know me...not know where am...Not know why am... I help....need home... Need some...where... I do...whatever asked... I not know...need disc...that where all know is... I know disc...not know self... Not can say about self..."

Kal continued to sit motionless as Zero spoke, he had nothing to say really, not with the current company at least. Zero sounded serious about his predicament, as if he believed it. Perhaps he did, perhaps he was telling the truth...but something was fishy, something just didn't seem right. A Seperatist weapons experiment somehow leaves his faction, survives the decades between the Clone War and today, and finally crashes on Carida, site of a major Imperial training center.
On top of that, a planet that was loyal to the Republic to the end of the Clone War.
Even more disturbing was the way in which he took out the four Stormtroopers, it was as if he reacted instinctually, like it was programmed. It might have been the armor, being similar in appearance to Clone Trooper armor...if a bit uglier.

Nevertheless, the truth would be revealed soon, he had faith in General Scyntor's methods of interrogation.

The voice evoked a carefully concealed pang of sympathy, Scyntor leaning back in his chair to regard the man. The stuttering of the words, coupled with the understanding of linguistics needed to convy his thoughts in his limited vocabulary suggested intelligence. And perhaps, he truly did have his mind wiped. The armor was being constructed, Scyntor new, and he was waiting for Mejaque's status report to comfort the man, but int he meantime there were other issues that had to be addressed.

"The four stormtroopers. Why did you attack them?" The question was simple enough, and the answer Zero responded with would tell Scyntor exactly how dangerous and useful this man was. The man was certainly gifted with skill, and he thought a moment about the Mjolnir sitting in the main bay... and of the rest of Strike Force Omega, currently orbiting the planet. Scyntor was needed elsewhere in the galaxy, and a commander would be useful. Leadership could be inspired with the appropriate spin, but the Crimson Stormtroopers would be more difficult to convince.

Looking up a moment to the cadet watching Zero, his thoughts began to settle into geometric patterns that would give rise to a solid command heirarchy. A smile touched his lips even before Zero could respond as the Colonel-General once again diverted his attention to the xenos.

Zero blinked, clutching his hair. " Storm...troopers? Men I Kill on ship?" Zero nodded absently, looking at his plate as he stroked his hair. He was feeling weaker by the minute. He remembered the flash of imagery in his mind. The way his mind had convinced him they were enemies. " Don't know....why thought....enemies... Picture...in head...look like enemies. Saw after....not enemies. Not know who enemies...picture in head.... Look at them after...they not enemies. Look ....some picture in head...only thought....protect armor..."

He cradled his forehead in his palms, trying to think. " Not know....why thought enemies... Head picture....not sure..." He gritted his teeth and groaned, now he was beginning to have a headache. It was as if trying to remember why he would think of the Stormtroopers as enemies was enough to make his mind explode. " Not know....no idea why they be enemies in head picture... Then you come....you strong....good warrior... I just think.... had protect armor... No think...but protect disc...That all...Not know...who enemy is...not know who friend is..."

Scyntor nodded, leaning back. Speaking mostly to Zero, his words intended for Skirata, he mused "Sense of protection, need for security even after being in stasis for years on end..." a smile touched his lips as he looked to Kalydon, intentionally turning his back to Zero to speak to the Admiral. This was yet another test, to find out if his intentions were truly hostile or just confused.

"Speculation, Skirata?"

Imperceptibly, Scyntor shifted to grasp the vibroblade in his jacket pocket, waiting for any reaction. He didn't expect anything of the nature, though, and his relaxed posture would tekk Skirata as such, although Zero would only see the massive shoulders and the back of Scyntor's shaved head.

Zero gazed at them, trying to grasp what was going on. He had turned his back on him and asked the one called Skirata for hi opinion. Zero let go of his hair and picked at the food on his plate, trying to ponder what was going to happen. This Skirata was obviously distrusting of him, it didn't take a critical eye to see that. Either they would view him as too deadly to waste as an asset, or too deadly to risk keeping around.

He took another sip of water and a bite of his food, wondering why Scyntor felt the need to turn his back on him? Was it a test? To see if he truly was an enemy or possible asset? No, Zero knew that even if he did want Scyntor dead, he would not have the chance. Skirata was there in full armor and this Scyntor was too smart to ust leave himself unguarded. Zero would simply wait to hear what they decided. If they wanted him dead, he would not go without a fight. However, he didn't truly wish to fight them or make them enemies. He just wanted the armor....and a purpose.

As he thought of how nice it would be to start a new life, another fit of violent coughing shook him. He pulled his hand away from his mouth as the fit ended, spotting a blob of viscuous blood in his palm, as well as feeling a trickle of it run down his lip. " Need...armor...", he whispered as his eyes widened at the sight in his hand.

Kal leaned closer to Scyntor, his words for him only, "He spoke of an image in his head, I'm willing to bet money we both know what he thought he saw and reacted to. We'll need a holo-image of a clone's armor.
He glanced over to Zero, "He said his only goal is to protect his armor, protect it from the Republic perhaps?"

He looked back at the young man, he was strong, dangerous, and efficient, Skirata appreciated his abilities, he would be a valuable addition to the Empire...provided they could break whatever programming was left in the dark corners of his mind by the Seps and build him up as a better person and a fighter.

Taylor watched and listened to the "interrogation", he was especially interested in the prisoner, whom seemed to be named "Zero". The man seemed to be sick and a little lost, his suspicions were proven correct when Zero told them that he didn't know where he was or even who he was.....he was lost. As Zero coughed up blood, Taylor decided it were time he actually did something, pulling out a handkerchief from his uniform pocket, he stepped forwards and placed it on the table in front of Zero.

If they were going to try and make themselves appear friendly, then Taylor would have to do his part. He stepped back into his previous position once more, standing with his hands linked behind his back, just against his tail bone.

Scyntor nodded to Skirata, turning back around just as the stormtrooper handed Zero a handkercheif... a very slight smile curled his lips, struggling with everything he had from breaking out into a full grin. The regimen he had worked into the Stormtrooper training protocols to give them a greater respect for civilians was working, and in that single action Scyntor saw an incredible step forward. Taking a deep breath to hold his voice together, he let it out slowly before removing a holodisc from his jacket pocket.

It was a bit eccentric, he knew, but he kept a small library of tiny datachips in his suit containing holographic images and, burried beneat, technical specifications of all of the weapons and armors he had come across in his career - he had a wallet-sized carry pouch filled with fifty such data chips. He opened it and carefully withdrew one, setting the disc before Zero. "I need you to be honest with me, Zero, I need you to tell me what you feel when you see this..."

Scyntor slid the chip into the reader, and a half-scale Clone Trooper, a particularly prolific one that had been given the name of Cody, blurred into view in a jumble of scanned blue lines, Scyntor's eyes watching Zero carefully for any instinctive reactions.

Zero accepted the handkerchief gratefully, nodding to the man as he wiped his mouth and his palm on it. He didn't know how much longer he had without the armor. It was getting progressively worse, thanks to the stasis shock and he was terribly afraid of not getting it in time. He would either need to get it soon, or he would rather die. He wasn't sure he could survive being put into stasis one more time. Then, Scyntor turned to face him again.

"I need you to be honest with me, Zero, I need you to tell me what you feel when you see this..."

The hologram sprang to life and immediately recognition rang through Zero's head. Something was wrong, though. He had been programmed to immediately recognize and eliminate any clones. Yet, the image was too small. It conflicted with the brainwashing done by the Seperatists. Zero felt a flash of anger at the image, then a wave of confusion. Then, an incredible pain shot through his head. He was supposed to attack, but this was clearly not a real enemy. Yet the recognition wanted him to attack

He slumped over the table, clutching at his temples with his hands at the pain. He let out a scream as he gripped his head. " No! Enemy.....not enemy....Kill! No! Too small....not enemy! Enemy! Not! Hurts.....HURTS!!!" He glooked up at Scyntor, his deep green eyes pleading with the man. " Hurts....why...? No... enemy....but....enemy....Hurts..... Help! Hurts!"

Scyntor watched the reaction, carefully viewing Zero's eyes during the sudden attack he was having. While he might have been able to fake it, the eyes would nto lie, and those orbs told the Colonel-General that the reaction was the truth. After a careful moment he reached across the table and flicked the holoimage off. Yes, he was programmed to fight clone troopers... but whether by a mitake in the CIS training protocols or the factor of time, the brainwashing could be circumvented.

Tilting his head over his shoulder, still keeing the bulk of his body facing Zero, he murmured softly "What does this tell you, Skirata?" The Colonel-General had his own ideas, but he wanted Kalydon to speak his opinion aloud... the Admiral clearly had an affect on Zero, and with what was blossoming in his head, that connection would prove stronger than the one he himself could establish.

Zero's scream echoed through the room, Kal watched with a cold stare as he slumped and grabbed his temples recoiling from the pain. He was fighting it, Kal could tell plain as day. Good, that meant that the Sep programming could be broken, and Zero could be given a second chance, a chance to live, a chance to become better than what he was.
He took a moment to consider his next words, he could have this man sentenced to death, or condemned to life, his existence was practically in Kal's hands. Quickly he came to a conclusion...

"I believe General, that Zero has potential. His combat skills are impressive; he could become a valuable ally...provided we can remove whatever taint that has been bestowed upon him by his previous comrades."

He looked straight at Zero, "I like this one to be honest, he has a strong will to fight. Even against what was hard wired into his head he still fought. I admire that."

As soon as the hologram blinked out of existence and Zero noticed, the pain started to fade. He looked up at the two men as he knelt on the ground, panting in exhaustion. His head was still reeling as he tried to understand the words between them. Grabbing the chair weakly, he pulled himself from the ground. As he sat back in the chair, he lowered his head again, placing it in his palms. The nearest he could tell, they wanted to keep him around. As long as they provided his armor, he didn't care what they asked of him. He just wanted to live, the urge to survive and keep fighting still the most prominent of his brainwashing.

He shook his head in his hands slowly, staring at the table. " Why....?," he said softly, looking at his hands. He picked up one of the more reflective platters on the table and stared at his blurred reflection. " Why...I like this? Who...I? He touched the reflection, his brows furrowig as he attempted to understand his own question. Placing it back on the table, he looked at Scyntor once more. " Who I? You....help me know?"

Thanates Scyntor nodded to Zero, then turned to the one-way mirror. Rising from his seat, he motioned for Skirata to stay where he was and moved to the door that led out of the detention cell. "Control, four personel to exit Detention Area 14. Stand down classified security, return all troopers to normal designations. I need a medical team sent to meet us enroute to the hospital wing, bring a medical capsule. Inform General Khryss of our change in destination, get him to work doubletime on that armor."

The door hissed open, and looking to Zero he nodded. His voice was resonant against the durasteel, filling Zero's failing senses. "Yes, Zero, we will help you. As of right now you are the newest recruit into the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. You will be allowed to skip the combat training given the credentials found in your transport pod, but you will be required to attend the history and indoctrination classes to get you more familiar with service to the Empire. Once graduated with satisfactory marks, we will decide where to proceed."

Scyntor took Zero's hand, shaking it once before turning him to the freedom of the complex. Walking freely down the hallway, the medical team arrived and helped Zero to lie upon the bed of the medical capsule, before transporting him to the Hospital Wing. Scyntor turned to Skirata, folding his arms across his chest to look the man in the eye. "If he fails the indoctrination procedures more than twice, I give you free reign to kill him."

Skirata simply in agreement to Scyntor's request. Part of him didn't like it, part of him was interested in seeing what Zero could do. Of course if Zero flunked then it was up to Kal on whether or not he lives.

He sat back and closed his eyes, thinking. This was the first time in several days that there was not something that needed his immediate attention, a status report that required viewing, training progress reports that needed grading, and so on...this was the first time things were quiet and he was given a reprieve.
The silence was both calming and unnerving at the same time, he'd grown so accustomed to the sounds of battle over the years that the quiet felt like the calm before the storm.

Of course, should that storm come, he would welcome it with his blade.

Several things were still on his mind though, the fact that he still had to complete his armor, mainly because he built additions over an existing suit of Mando armor, specifically his father's suit. Unfortunately the Empire had no beskar (the Mando'a term for Mandalorian iron) handy at the time so he had to make due with Phrik, slightly heavier, but nearly as strong and resilient.
He made a mental note to find some beskar and finish the blasted thing.

The other thing on his mind was that eerie voice he had heard weeks ago aboard the bridge on the Genesis, come back to me it had said...and it had sounded so much like his dead lover. At first he had thought it was just his imagination, that he was simply hearing things...but it sounded so very real, like she was right next to him. Then there was also the dreams and the memory of that woman on Coruscant...but it didn't make much sense. Jennifer had been dead for years, why was he seeing these things now he wondered.
Perhaps he was crazy? Perhaps he was suffering the effects of continued stress by not allowing himself to relax? He wasn't sure, though something in the back of his mind nagged at him, a feeling that said there was more to these occurrences than he thought...

There was one thing he did know through all of that, and that was that he did miss her terribly. He never showed it though, another byproduct of his father's lessons when he was a small boy.

So he sat there, silent, deep in thought.

The hours he spent in silent meditation paid off, he felt calm and collected. His comm buzzed, "Skirata, go" he answered.
The response came from a female voice, one of his Marines no doubt. "Sir, that message you were waiting for, it arrived."

That got his undivided attention, the Skywalker funeral was soon. "Understood, I'm on my way back now, prep Delta wing and my personal fighter for launch." "Yes sir" was the only reply as the comm went silent. He got up, stretched a bit, and walked calmly out towards the corridor. Tapping his comm again he sent a message to Colonel General Scyntor, "I'm attending the Skywalker funeral, I'll return as soon as I'm finished." And he shut the comm off, short and to the point.

It took a few minutes as he was passed through security and allowed into one of the many shuttle facilities. Looking off to the left he noticed some of his troopers standing by a shuttle that recently landed, "What are you kids doing here?" he asked.
"Thought you could use a lift ner vod." one of the Marines responded.
A smile touched Skirata's lips, "Indeed vod. Now let's get the hell out of here, the boredom is killing me."

The shuttle took off swiftly and set course for the massive Executor in orbit.
