The ships' computer chirped loudly as it exited hyperspace one last time. The malfunctioning navigation program had chosen many random jumps over the years, miraculousy avoiding collisions with planets, asteroids and other celestial bodies. Now, as the hyperdrive finally breathed it's last, the ship drifted on backup power, heading for orbit with the planet Carida.

It's lone cargo, a cryo-stasis pod and a sealed case next to it remained lifeless. Inside the pod, a body lay in suspended animation. The young man, appearing to be in his twenties, seemed to sleap peacefully, his long blond hair flowing around him, unaware of the ship's course.

The few functioning sensors and alarms in the ship began going off after another as the ship entered the Caridan atmosphere. Thrusters automatically fired as the ship adjusted itself. It had a program for a crash landing and now it was utilizing this. The cryo-pod was immediately buffered by and braced by the ship's computer. beams came from the floor and ceiling, connecting with the pod as the transport braced for impact.

Meanwhile...

The Air controller hailed the ship again. " Once again, unidentified transport. You do not have authorization to enter Caridan airspace. Stand down or you will be destroyed." The crewman manning scanners at the station motioned for the controller. " Sir, scanners show no life signs. Possibl a derelict. It appears to be on a crash course with an uninhabited sector on the surface." The controller nodded, " tell the gunners to hold their fire. The higher ups may want to search the vessel. Inform General Nebulax and advise a three man crew be sent to the site to investigate." The man nodded and sent the message.

The transport...

The sensors chirped and alarms blared as the ship headed for the surface. Thrusters readjusted and the airbrakes deployed. The ship slowed enough and impacted at an angle that caused minimal damage. The smoke and dust cleared and there lay the wrecked transport on the surface, it's precious cargo still intact and in peaceful stasis.

The shuttle gently landed on the grass in the field, about four hundred metres away from the crashed vessel.
Two Stormtroopers, unidentifiable by mere humans, stepped out slowly, scanning the area with their rifles slowly. They signaled the all clear using a hand gesture and two other troopers, carrying a large scanning device, stepped out, holding rifles in their unused hands.

Slowly walking over to the downed vessel the lead trooper glanced around, taking in their surroundings. They were in a mostly isolated area, all but inaccessable. It seemed big enough to hold several Acclamator transports if the need arose.

The scanning team began their work, "no lifesigns yet... but there is something in there."
The team heard Nebulax's voice in their helmets, "What do you mean... something?"
The trooper responded, "We'll have to go in and check it out sir."
Nebulax sighed, "well, what's stopping you?"

As the troopers were preparing to enter, the ship was at work. It was nearing the end. No longer structurally sound for a journey, it had begun setting in motion it's final programming. The terminal at the cryopod sprang to life. Various mechanisms were set into motion and the pod began to lsowly awaken it's occupant. As the troopers moved through the ship's corridors, there scanners began picking up a life sign. He was awakening, becoming aware of his surroundings.

He was aware that he had no idea who he was, or where he was. He knew the ship, knew the need to retrieve something....the disc. Yes, he needed the disc. He remembered the armor. He needed to have it built. Needed it to survive. He knew that much, he could not live long without it. His body was dependant on it's power. He rose from the pod, stretching his limbs and breathing for the first time in decades. The air was stale and he coughed from the shock. He would need to recuperate from the cryo-shock, recover from being in suspended animation. He looked aout him again, hearing sounds far off in the ship. Were there others? Could they tell him of his fate? There was no time for that answer as the door opened.

The four troopers entered, raising their rifles and drawing a bead on him. " Halt, you are under Imperial arrest!", one shouted. " Raise your hands and lay on the ground slowly." Something flashed in the young man's mind. An image of armor that looked vaguely similar to these new arrivals. Suits of enemies long forgotten. With a scream of rage and intent to protect him self and his armor, he lunged forward with surprising speed. He ducked into a crouching run as they opened fire, then veered left and leapt at them as they continued to fire, one step behind his maneuvers.

Bringing his elbow down on the shoulder of the nearest trooper, he used the brief second of shock to turn the trooper towards his comrades. Forcing his hand over the soldier's weapon hand, he pulled the trigger as he maneuvered the man into a headlock with his other arm. The blast from the weapon caught the next closest trooper in the head, sending bits of helmet and bone and flesh onto the wall and floor. The other two opened fire as the young man used the struggling trooper in his arms as a human shield, hearing his cry of pain and disbelief as his comrades' weapons tore into him.

The young man kept his hand on the rifle, pulling it away from the lifeless hand and jumping into a roll as they fired, returning a shot that met the chest of a third trooper. The fourth decided it was time to run. He rushed back out into the corridor, sending a signal through his helmet. " Mayday! Mayday! Hostile encountered! Three casualties! Requesting backup, I repeat requesting-"

The rest was a scream as a bolt caught him in the knee, sending him to the ground. The young man stood over him, sending another bolt into the trooper's weapon arm, disabling him further. The man screamed in agony and the young man knelt down, snarling in fury. He removed the man's helmet angrily and wrapped his arms around the trooper's head. With a scream of rage, he snapped the trooper's neck. Standing up, he grabbed the blaster and cradled it in his arms as he headed back to the room.

Finding the case near the cryopod, he opened it and smiled softly as he pulled out the disc. yes, this would make everything better. he went to the nearest terminal and put the disc in the drive, watching as the information was brought up on the screen.

" Subject Zero"

He now had something to call himself....Zero....

" Project: Enhanced Bio Armor Experimental Stage"

" Project Status: Cancelled"

The words and schematics appearing on the screen in various sub menus seemed like the only thing he could understand at the moment. He needed to know more, needed to find a way to get the armor built.

" Enhanced Bio Armor Details"

: _

Impact Resistant, Hyper-flexible Polymer Base

Back, Shoulders, Chest Plate, Helm, Forearms, Groin, Shins and Vital Areas protected by Reinforced, Durasteel Alloy Plating

Auditory Enhancers In Helm Increase Sense Of Hearing By 500%

Integrated Neuralsensors Inside Of Armor Enhance Strength And Agility By 1000%

"Weapons Systems"

: _

Custom Vibro Saber Fits In Built In Sheath On Back Of Armor

Dual Heavy Repeating Blasters Built Into Wrists Respond To Neurosensor Coomands From User
(Primary Weapon)

" Project Cancellation"
Warning: This Project Has Been Cancelled Due To Subject's Dependency On Armor's Power Supply To Sustain Life Via The Neurosensors..."

The rest was jargon he could not understand. The other sub menus contained te schematics and design plans of the armor. This wouldn't help him. He needed to find a way out of here and find somewhere safe where he could have his armor built again...

Nebulax was going to roast the Air Traffic Controller that allowed the ship to crash. Then probably execute him. He quickly sat on the speederbike and put the acompanying helmet upon his head. He sped out of the garage as fast as he could and headed in the direction of the derelict transport.

He kept searching the menus and sub menus, trying to find any information that could help him get away from this place. There was nothing. Only data on the armor and it's construction. he had lost all sense of time, ignoring his thirst and hunger as they grew stronger. He would worry about those later, his first priority was an exit. Unfortunately, something else drew his attention. There was a loud whining of engines and the noticeable tremor of a large ship landing outside. This wasn't good, someone had probably sent to find the four bodies....and him.

He wasted no time, surely they would be on his position in a matter of minutes. He found the body of the trooper that was most similar to his size and went to work. He pulled off the man's armor and began putting it on over his simple tunic and pants. He put the boots on his bare feet and cursed how tight they were. He didn't worry about the helmet, it would never have fit with his waist length blond hair in the way. He made his way around the three bodies in the room, grabbing up the extra power cells for the blasters from their belts.

Hefting the body of the stripped trooper, he placed in the cryo tube. Positioning it so it sat up with it's eyes open, he placed a blaster in it's stiff hands; wrapping the fingers around the handle and carefully positioning the blaster and head so they would be aimed at the door to the room. He stacked the extra power cells in equal piles at either side of the entrance. All he would have to was hit one to make a nice distraction. He grabbed a second blaster for him self and turned off the screen to the monitor at the terminal. He couldn't risk having the disk on his person, lest it get damaged. It would be better to leave it in the terminal.

Gripping a blaster in each hand, he crouched out of site behind the cryo tube...and waited...

The Mjolnir descended through the atmosphere on its way to the crash site. The command of Stormtroopers had been fortuuante that the pod had landed outside of the populated areas, yet was in the middle of a large grassy field, perfect for approaching out of range of light arms fire. The support struts creaked as the increased gravity of the Caridan scape pulled more on the structure of the Acclamator troopship, then finally settled into place. The loading ramp opened, and Colonel-General Scyntor of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps decended the durasteel plank, flanked on his right shoulder by Admiral Kalydon Skirata.

The two had some intense discussions while the fleet was at Loronar, arguing over the loss of the three ships and the role that Skirata played for the Strike Force, but ultimately Thanates reached the same conclusion that he had when he first reviewed the Admiral's dossier. The Mandalorian warrior was an expert at hand-to-hand and short-range combat, with both IntelForce and Naval training. To manage the number of ships in the Force, to deploy them correctly to bring their infantry to bear, as well as to direct them in combat was a quality unique even in the Empire, and Scyntor would not allow a man of his expertise to leave. He eventually had to speak to Grand Admiral Treshan about his comission, but that was not the matter at the present.

He was met at the base of the loading ramp by the stern, almost defiant posture of General Nebulax, as well as the short stature of General Mejaque Khryss and the quiet contemplation of Maximillian Corsova. The Catalyst, the nearly unknown Imperial research vessel of Victory-III design, had been graciously lent to the Stormtroopers by Corsova himself to serve as a temporary mobile research facility until a more permanent one could be constructed. The ship had bene in hyperspace enroute to a construction facility to speak with engineers concerning the construction of the new vessel when Scyntor ahd contacted them, but even halfway across the galaxy the reinforced hyperdrives of the Catalyst had outrun them to the planet, and landed alongside the Mjolnir.

Scyntor returned the nods of the two Stormtrooper Generals before turning to the scene before him. There, about 300 meters off the direct bow of the ships, stood the crash-landed derelict transport. The access hatch pointed about 45 degrees off, allowing visual scanning of the right of the door, but screening the men from direct visual contact by whatever was inside. The Colonel-General turned to the entourage after viewing the pod, his voice quiet and introspective. "The pod is old, the markings unlike anything I have seen, but it would be before my time. If I had to hazzard a guess, it seems to be a modified escape pod from a Confederate ship. General Khryss, speculation?"

The General looked up as if Scyntor was daft, folding his arms across his chest. The two Phase II Dark Troopers that flanked him stood impassively, but Mejaque Khryss' tone was as respectful as it could be iven the current circumstances. "I dinnae know what yer lookin' at, Sah, but the pod as evidently been customized - from th'e looks of it could' be from one of any xenos research ships. Looks like we found the dumping ground of one of the rejects, if ye pardon the lecture sah. I'd say yer lookin' at onea ther human test subjects, from the wee little crafts dimensions."

Scyntor listend to the mans lecture for a moment, then nodded his understanding. Mejaque Khryss had served under General Rom Mohc during the Dark Trooper project, and in the Old Empire he had been passed over for promotion several times given his stature. But, with great ability came certain privelages, and Scyntor was more than willing to see past the issue of height in exchange for the man's best work and invaluable knowledge. "General Nebulax. You said that Air Traffic Control reported no sign of life, and none of your scans showed it either, yet four stormtroopers are dead without a sound?"

Nebulax nodded, his eyes still on the pod. Words, for the moment, failed the man as he looked at the derelict transport. In his posture, he could read the nervousness that the General had, even as he tried to mask it with an aura of barely contained rage. In the Empire that he knew, officers were executed for such losses even in the Army, and the Stormtroopers were a much more highly prized commodity. Four troopers represented a month of training and credits poured into armor and weapons. However, he was also trusting that Scyntor was as the rumors reported: that he was a man of honor and understanding, even as he was a strict commander. His furtive glances to General Khryss seemed to comfort him for the moment, and he finally allowed himself to relax as no outburst from Scyntor as forthcoming.

"Kalydon, I have need of your skills. I need you to get as close to that transport as you can and find out as much about whatever is inside as possible without anyone seeing you. You may take troopers if you wish, but I don't see you as the kind that would accept such assistance. Report back in thirty minutes with your findings." Skirata looked at Scyntor a moment, weighing the balance of wanting to test his skills, and taking orders from someone who technically was not in his command heirarchy. Finally, the prospect of seeing a force that had laid four Stormtroopers low without a sound won out, and Skirata sprinted first to the west, then turned and ran towards the pod to approach from its blind side, slowing as he neared 100 meters and finally stalking the last 50 towards it.

Scyntor, in the meantime, turned to face Corsova. "Maximillian, I understand that you worked with Carnor Jax in his efforts to train an elite fighter squad, as well as augmented the training simulators for both flight and combat on Yinchorr. Based on what we know, can you speculate as to what we are facing here? Any projects you may have command access to after their surrender on Mustafar?"

Corsova was silent a moment, running a finger across his jawline as he cupped his chin in thought. His blue eyes looked at the pod a moment, then skyward as he considered, then turned to face Scyntor once more. "Thanates, I believe what we are seeing here was refered to, in the command of the Confederacy, as Project Infinitum. The Trade Federation, seeing their 'droids being repeatedly blasted away by the adaptiveness of our clones, sought methods to neutralize that advantage by integrating sentient beings into their army, much as General Mohc intended to do with 'droids in the Dark Trooper project. However, the project records end abruptly with an oblique reference to a test subject named Zero, where the records become fragmented and ultimiately vanish."

Scyntor nodded once, then folded his arms as he waited for Skirata to return.

Second post to follow this evening

Scyntor looked up when Skirata returned. The sun was lower on the horizon, casting a glare on the access hatch of the pod. the Mandalorian nodded to the Colonel-General by way of greeting, then started speaking. "It appears as if he has set himself up rather securely within the vessel. Three bodies near the door, the fourth appears to be sitting up in front of a recessed pod in the wall, if I had to guess I would say it was a long-term cryostasis module. There are alsso stacks of power cells on either side of the access hatch, probably set up to serve as an explosive deterrent or distraction to anyone that approaches."

Scyntor considered a moment, looking to the bulk of the ship. His brow furrowed in thought, then he turned to the assemblage. "Admiral Skirata, I'd like you to watch my back. I'm going in alone, and I'm going to try to deal with this being single-handedly, whatever it is. It's smart enough to use a stormtrooper as armor, so I'm guessing it is human. Corsova, please prepare a stasis cell aboard the Catalyst, be prepared to receive whoever is inside that pod. General Khryss, please go with Corsova and prepare the ships computer systems to receive a data module of unknown Confederate specification. General Nebulax, take your speeder and go to the Mjolnir, take the ship to the Detention Center and prepare a cell, top security. Post two of our Guard recruits and a contingent of our best troopers there until Master Trainer Kanos can send for Crimson Guard.

The men nodded their confirmation to the orders before moving off to their respective destinations, Scyntor soon sprinting for the ship. Skirata following close behind, Thanates made sure to rustle through the grassses, to inform the being of their coming. His troopers, he had noted, reacted much more violently to a threat they were surprised by than one they were not, and he was going to use it to his advantage in this instance. Slowing to a walk about 50 meters out, Scyntor turned to Skirata, whispering. "Take a tangential arc and set your sights on the stak of power cells to the right of the door. I will circle around and approach from the left, and wait for your shot. As soon as you fire, put your blaster away - I want to handle this being myself. I don't know who or what it is, but I don't want to risk violating any sense of honor it may have instilled in it. Stay out of the fight unless you see me go down and not come up."

Skirata nodded his understanding, and for a moment Scyntor wondered about the honor of the Mandalorian Warriors before setting off. On hsi way he shrugged his dress jacket from his shoulders, a white undershirt contrasting with the green of the grass and revealing his muscular forearms. He reached into a deep pocket and drew out the vibroblade he held strapped to his thigh. His fingertips ran over the familiar nicks and cuts in the blade and handle before flicking it to life, the soft hum blending with the winds sweeping over the grass-infused plains. For an eternity Scyntor seemed to wait, poised and ready. And then... the shot.

The crimson bolt from the Admiral's blaster streaked through the sky, and soon, obscured by the panel of the door, the stack of power cells erupted in a cloud of superheated plasma. Teeth gritted, Scyntor darted into the opening, shoulder-rolling even as his feet hit the durasteel plating, eyes seeking wildly the source of the intelligence that had set the trap. It didn't take long, the place was rather small, but there was the corpse of one of his stormtroopers... seeming to hold two blaster rifles. Scyntor dodged the bolts with seemingly inhuman speed, though it was because the flex of the creature's arms told him where the blaster was to be aiming, and with a battle cry of his homeworld he launched the blade with unerring accuracy at one of the blaster carbines. He droppe dinto a crouch, ready to move again even as the vibroblade sliced through the grip of the blaster just above the man's closed fist, the top part of the weapon falling to a sparking heap on the floor. He waited, watching, wondering what the creature would do next...

It had all happened suddenly, he was quite surprised. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, the sounds he had heard in the ship had not entered the room. Then, they left, he waited again. It was not long before new footfalls echoed quietly through the ship. He gritte dhis teeth and quited his breathing, ready to set off his trap once they entered the room. It never came to be.

There was an explosion and then the sound of someone rushing in, they had figured out his deception. He raised himself quickly from behind the cryo-pod, firing the two blasters at the figure. He wished they had been the blasters of his armor. His opponent was clever enough to gauge where he would fire, that problem would be different with the wrist mounted blaster she was used to. Suddenly, a flash in the man's hand and Zero's eyes widened in shock as a blade flew through the air and dismantled one of the blasters.

He threw the other blaster down in frustration and spat on the blade where it stuck in the wall. " Fine...", he said, his first words in decades. Sprinting into a run, he gauged his opponent's feet positions. Leaping with a flip, he landed softly on his extended right palm and spun his left leg into a sweeping kick at the man's head, based on what he supposed would be his opponent's easiest direction to maneuver from.

Scyntor was pleased that the man had decided to engage him in open combat even as he shifted, always keeping his eyes on the form that flipped above him. Watching at he went to land on his hand, his first reaction was to drop into a sweeping roundhouse. That instinct proved justified as the double-stomp kick narrowly missed his shaved head.

The momentum of his drop and spin brought his right leg sweeping around, aiming to crash into the mans wrist and knock him on to the ground on his head. The battle would not be over that easily, however, but Scyntor would relish the chance to test his skills against one trained in different styles. Already Scyntor mind was racing with hor to pull himself away from his current position and into an attakc posture. The first and foremost focus would have to be to neutralize the target.

However, in a dim part of his mind, he recollected what made him Colonel-General: a tenacity for success that seems to trancend even the limits of his physical skill, but also a knack for improvisation that had led him to success in battle even against the Sovereign Protector Carnor Jax. Int hat he took comfort, careful to keep his ego pushed back until after the battle was finished and he had time to reflect.

The man was certainly impressive. He had read Zero's attack and adjusted quickly enough to evade it. He had gone into a sweeping roundhouse and Zero quickly pushed off with his hand, avoiding the foot to his wrist. Recovering to his feet, he quickly jumped out of the way of the man's range. Setting his body into a quick attack stance, he noticed his breathing was getting heavier. It took more energy and strength to maneuver on this planet. The gravity must have been higher; and just recovering from cryo sleep was making it more difficult to adjust.

He narrowed his eyes at the larger man, gritting his teeth and snarling quietly. " I.....won't let you....have it...," he said between breaths, clenching his fists. He had set himself between the man and the terminal with the disc of the armor's details. he had no idea how manyo f them there were, but he would do everything he could to prevent them from taking his armor from him. With a yell of rage, he launched himself at the man again, lowering his body as he ran. Still as fast he could be without his armor, he hit the larger man square in the waist with his left shoulder, sending them both outisde.

Rather than put it away Kal decided to keep the Z-6 out and aim towards the opening to the ship. Scyntor wanted to take this being alone and he could understand that, warriors always did tend to have suicidal tendencies, though if one wanted to survive one had to outgrow those tendencies. Kal had a sense of honor yes, but Mandalorians didn't charge into an enemy they knew nothing about, that was plain foolish.
Never should you rush head on into an enemy, always know what you deal with before you strike and always be ready for the unexpected. It was the Six Ps as his father put it, "Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance."
Mental joking aside, his aim remained steady.

He was curious though, someone or something had singlehandedly killed four Stormtroopers without making a single noise...it wasn't the number of Stormtroopers that caught his attention, they were easy enough to kill already, it was the fact it was done in silence. When this was all said and done he wanted to be present at the interrogation of the individual, it had drawn that much curiosity from him. It was an odd feeling, to be facing a remnant of the broken CIS. Years before the shadows of the Mandalorians had fought them viciously and now here I was about to face one more of their abominations.

Then he saw them, the CIS creature had tackled the General and pushed them both out of the ship into the open area.
Kal's finger rested lightly on the trigger as he knelt to give himself greater stability, ready to send one or both of them to Hell if need be.

Mejaque raised a finger besides his head and circled it once in the air, his accopanying Dark Troopers stepping forwards with their weapons raised,

"On your command, Sah, I can ave' three and five here turn him into blaster sludge...or stun him if you really think its necessary to keep such a creature around."

The stunted human backed behind the twin battledroids and into relative safety, should the creature come for him.

Scyntor was dimly aware of the two figures present as he was launched out the door of the transport and onto the grass of Carida. Only by instinct did he keep the mans hands away from his eyes, using powerful legs to launch the unknown being over his head and to his back in the grass some 3 meters behind him. Rolling to his shoulders, he kicked his bulk into a crouch, watching as ye called over his shoulder. "Mejaque, get your ass onto the Catalyst and prepare the systems to pull any information we can from this ship! If he's a reject, we need to find out why and fast! Nobody shoot unless you don't see me get up!"

Scyntor slowly turned in a strafing circle, first to the left then the right, keeping himself between the door to the transport and the being. The way the man moved was indicative of a highly trained close-quarters fighter, and the schematic diagrams of wrist-mounted cannons he had glimpsed on the readout screen suggested a large amount of strength... a rather dangerous foe, but to Scyntors mind was already beaten. It was just a matter of settling him into a routine, then breaking it.

He hit the ground hard and stood up, rubbing his head. There were others there, in strange suits of armor he had never seen before. Weapons trianed on him, but he didn't care. He would take out the immediate threat first. The others seemed to halt at his very presence. Perhaps this man was their leader? Whatever he was, he was Zero's enemy and top priority. He heard something about pulling information from the ship and snarled. He would not let them have it. He would rather die, if that were truly the only option...

He guaged his opponent. Yes, he was blocking access to the ship. It was clear what they wanted. Reject? How was he a reject?Had he not killed four of their number already? Proven how dangerous he was? He growled at the larger man, trying to calm his breathing. The gravity was beginning to take it's toll. Coupled with the need for water and foood, alog with the shock of being woken from cryo-sleep; he was beginning to feel weaker. No, he would fight still, with everything he had. Something caught his eye and he knelt down, picking it up. It was a good sized rock, perfect for blunt force trauma.

Or something else... He stared down the man, his emerald green eyes fixing on him as the wind picked up. His waist length blond hair caught the breeze and he spit on the ground. " Reject.....you...all of you.....die....", with those words he lunged again, closing the distance between them quickly. At a point where he was close enough that the man would have no choice but to catch it, he hurled the rock at him, following immediately with dropkick aimed at his chest.

Alright, maybe 'reject' wasn't the best choice of words.

This was the thought that assailed Scyntor's mind just before the rock hit, forcing him back a step. The rock, Scyntor dimly noted, was a piece of dense obsidian, brought from Carida's last ice age to this place. Without a fault or fracture, Scyntor felt that some of his ribs were cracked, but the pain only elicited a primal growl from Scyntor's lips.

Dropping under the aimed kick, Scyntor released a cry that reverberated off the nearby foothills of the Shada`Carid mountain range. Planting his foot, he held the volcanic glassin his open palm, aiming it as thought it were a fist at the midsection of the unidentified man, still recuperating his balance from the missed strike.

The blow caught him just to the right of the sternum. He leapt back with it, feeling the armor he was wearing absorb the impact. It was enough to cause a great pain in his chest though. This man was strong ,very strong. Every breath now burned and Zero knew he was injured. He could sense his opponent's injury as well. He was glad to have let him know that he could cause pain.

His opponent's roar of fury echoed across the plain and Zero responded with his own yell of rage. They were incredibly close now. There would be no more acrobatics. He charged again, " All of you...die!!!" He screamed it as loud as he could, opening up at his opponent's chest and face with a series of hooks and jabs, dealt with the speed and precision of the warrior's mind.

This was it. After a series of maneuvers designed to try to get the upper hand, the men were once again on equal foting, and this time there were no flashy drick, just bare-knuckle brawling until one of them didn't get up.

Unfortuantely for Zero, this was Scyntor's specialty.

Twenty years of bar-room brawling with the drunken sentient species of the galaxy, clearing them out of bars on Coruscant before becoming Colonel-General would serve him well in this instance. The blows rained down upon Scyntor, virtually each one turned aside. A forearm here, a duck there, a slight twist of his shoulders made most of the unknown figure's blows miss their target, leaving Thanates largely unmarked. As the blows slowed imperceptibly, however, Scyntor knew it was time to act.

Abruptly switghing from defensive to offensive, Scyntor countered with a series of hooks, jabs, and uppercuts designed to throw him off-balance, not according to any structured rythym of unarmed combat found anywhere in the galaxy. With a deftness born of patient practise, the two stood toe-to-toe, berserker versus brawler, neither one gaining the advantage.

Zero grunted and yelled with each strike. This man was far more adept at this than he had given him credit for. He could feel himself weakening more with each swing. Now, he had an injury to stave off along with everything else. Suddenly, the enemy was on the offensive, He had turned Zero's own attack against him after expertl dodging and swinging away his fists. Zero felt a punch glance across his cheek as he barely dodged another aimed at his chest. This was not good.

He grabbed the larger mans right arm, burying his teeth into as he felt a bruise form on his own cheek. His teeth pierced flesh and he felt a trickle of blood. Using the quick second of hesitation his improvisation brought, he slammed his knee hard into the other man's torso. " All!" Again, harder, just under the solar plexus. " Die!"

the air left Scyntor's lungs with a heavy grunt, and the Colonel-General doubled over. Already his diaphragm was restoring its control, drawing a deep breath of oxygen-rich air, and letting it out in another cry of rage. This time, though, the man wouldn't get up. Drawing his fist back, he rose to his full height, his legs lending power to his torso and arm, aiming a vicious uppercut under the mans jaw.

The impact lifted Zero off the ground, knocking him heavily to the grass some 2 meters away, unconcious but alive and, surprisingly, intact. Something must have been introduced to his body structure to give his bones reinforcement. Pausing only a moment to draw a couple deep breaths, he turned to Kalydon. "Call Corsova, have that stasis pod out here now!"

Mejaque waved his hand towards the two Dark Troopers and jogged after Corsova, who was allready making his way towards the grounded Catalyst. "Ahh dinnae know what he hopes us to acchieve before that thing can take him appar' but he better hope on it beeing good eh?" he slapped Corsova in the middle of his back, causing the engineer to tense up and pick up his pace.

"I have every confidence in the Colonel-Generals abilities, and I am also sure that the Catalyst will suprise you with the knowledge it contains."

The two eventually made it into the archive room of the catalyst and Corsova was working his way through the multitude of CIS files, his fingers working rapidly across the type-pad. With his back to Corsova, Mejaque was also working his way through the files, though he kept making occsional stops on droid-project files to look at some of the high definition images the Catalyst had on file. He had also pulled out a computer simulation of a CIS dataport - it was taking some tweaking but he was close to interfacing it into Imperial tech.

Kal nodded and tapped his helmet comm "Corsova, the Colonel General requests that you and a stasis pod be here ten minutes ago." and then just as abruptly ended the message. Short, sweet, and to the point. To those he did not know, that was how he preferred it.
His eyes wandered to the humanoid on the ground, it was an impressive display that he saw...nothing compared to the stress he was put through under Carnor Jax but still impressive. This individual wasn't a droid contrary to the CIS' usual projects, and he didn't seem like a cyborg, cyborgs don't feel pain. I would say "I do"...but then again there's no one in my grasp biting my hand to get free... Nevertheless, he was intrigued by him and his ferocity.

Two objectives were satisfied today Kal thought, he had seen the abilities of the unknown individual, and he had seen Scyntor struggle in a fight. He had a good idea of what he would encounter should he and Scyntor ever square off, something to make a note of for future reference.

Activating the safety and slinging his Z-6, he drew his Shattergun and ventured towards the General his downed opponent.
