No, there are maneuvering jets all along the sides of the bow and stern. 40, total.

Wow, that was epic.

I love how the major gripe is Galactica's ability to manoeuvre :P

Re: Racetrack waking up in the Raptor to fire the nukes: I thought she was dead and when the Raptor hit an asteroid it made her arm flop down onto the button, firing the nukes? "Divine intervention"? She seemed pretty dead to me...

She was dead. I thought she woke up too, but she was dead. So yes... "divine intervention" indeed. :p

Thank you, being that doesn't like being called God.

Damn, that finale was cool. I can't wait for the extended version on DVD.

She's lucky she returned at all after what she did. Now Showboat is someone they definitely should've shown in the finale. :(

I want Seelix :( I don't even remember who Showboa-

oh yeah, the slightly scary German one. You have a problem, Moff :P Then again, I go for the Germans too, but only the homely brunettes.

Speaking of divine intervention I recently saw the second half of the Count Ibilis thing. Almost. I turned it of before it ended because I just couldn't stand that nonsense. Good for you guys its much different now... but I don't get to see the changes. :(

Just saw the finale a few days ago...

Don't really know what I expected, but I can't think of anything that would be a worthy finale to a show like BSG. Certainly not that... I kinda wish the show had been cancelled like the original one before they found Earth.

I saw a half-decent episode of the old series! Some guy wanted to be captain of some ship, so he made everyone work really hard to get the old captain promoted. When he got the promotion, he decided to retain command anyway, so the guy blamed the working conditions on him, then tried to send him into deep space, with the crew's support. In the end they figured it out and there was a firefight in which the old captain died, so they gave him a funeral.

But it wasn't a good end. For a start... Earth wasn't actually Earth, as in our planet Earth wasn't actually the Earth they were looking for.

Also, it took 150,000 years for the planet to advance that far? Surely the colonials who survived would be able to reproduce some of the technology they knew of with materials they could source on the planet?

The worst part was the Starbuck thing... so she was actually dead and the one who came back was an angel...? And so was the imaginary Baltar/Six? Too convenient; the "computer chip in the brain" explanation would have been better. Also, the "Starbuck bailed out and was rescued by a heavy raider" explanation would have been better for that, aswell.

Carlist, if you'll recall DS9... Moore always has his "ethereal figures" turn out to be to real forces that can act in our plane of existence. Whether it's BSG's "angels" or DS9's duel between Prophets and Pah'wraiths... they start off as figures of a religion the audience doesn't really relate to, but end up being very real, very present forces.
