The Capree emerged from hyperspace, it's engines roaring from the exit, as it closed in on the desert world of Tatooine. The crew's fingers glided over the consoles, as it slowly entered the atmosphere of the planet surrounded by two suns.

The command deck doors hissed mechanically as Lady Alatáriël Pallanén-Davad entered, her guard closely behind. The formation was loose on the ship, but they had demanded they remain with her until their return to Coronus.

"Shields are down, weapons are offline," Subcommander Craeton reported, as he monitored the crew's progress. "We've been granted permission to land, and a separate hangar bay has been provided in the Mos Entha Spaceport."

The thanagarian's fingers slipped beneath her clothes and produced a strange looking orb. All eyes turned momentarily, as she placed the orb next to one of the database consoles. Entering several passcodes, through many different access points, she retrieved the information she was about to deliver. The orb vibrated slowly, and as the information clouded it's memory, it began to shake more violently.

"It could detonate and kill us all if the wrong passcode was used," the Subcommander reminded the crew, but in such a way, that it was a question.

"I did not enter the wrong passcode," Arlyn said cautiously, intrigued by the the orb's vibrations. It phased orange, then blue, then red. Red was not the color you wanted to see, and she immediately approached the device, when it paused and turned green. "Database download successful." the computer rang out.

A brute stepped forward, it's one arm extending to take the orb. In exchange, Arlyn took one of his gambling spheres, and placed it within her robes. "Let's go then," she stated, not wanting to push the patience of the Rebellion officers on the surface.

Kyp stayed long enough to see the dropships land and turned away back towards Arlyn's ship. He couldn't be more happy with the results of the engagement. Most of Kyp's experience with a fighter had been either in simulation or in the busy air routes above Denon. “Good job Nine. I think we'll do alright together,” he said with a huff of relief. “Get a hold of Arlyn's ship again. 'Bout time we get out of this cramped starfighter.”

Soon Kyp found himself aboard the Capree. All the ships doctors and nurse had been put on standby for the incoming wounded. Once the landing gear were deployed Kyp was greeted by a man in a sky blue uniform. “No injuries I presume,” he asked, his smile hidden by a doctors mask.
“No I am fine, just get someone over here to refit my ship and clean my astromech droid.” Turning to Nine, he spoke. “You'll be fine Nine, just watch these people.” he said sarcastically. The droid whined in compliance.

Jumping out from the ship Kyp gathered his gear and clothes from his x-wing and strolled to where the crew where meeting the incoming dropships.

The dropships landed in the hangar bay as a collection of officers greeted both the rogue starfighter pilot, and Arlyn herself. "Get word to the Commander;prep the ship for departure, and set coordinates for Bothawui. Engage when ready." The droid saluted and walked away to carry out her orders, while a swarm of droidekas surrounded the pair of captured Exchange agents. The female hissed, before spitting onto their personal deflector shields. The spitwad sizzled, before disappearing against the energy field.

"You bitch," the woman stated, "You have no authority-"

"I actually do. Please remember the difference between Senate laws, and planetary laws. Tatooine has several special loopholes, besides, I'm serving as your transport to Rhen Var." Even the slightest mention of the Rebel prison world, shook her comrade's stature. He was the weaker of the two, she noted.

"In the meantime, make yourselves as comfortible as possible. As it may just be the last comfort you'll be seeing for a very, very long time." The droid security force escorted the pair to the brig, allowing Arlyn to greet the man who had saved her life. She recalled him instantly, as he had attended the first Galaxy Ball. Then, he was Yoogle's apprentice, but now it seemed as though he was no longer a student of the Order, yet something more.

"Thank you for your assistance, Jedi Knight." Arlyn wished to mourn the loss of her crew, and the Rebel officers like Lillian, but she quickly compartmentalized the emotions as she dipped her head to the man.

Got a big enough avatar there, Alex?

Regardless of the woman's outward appearance Kyp could tell she had other business to attend to. Even though Kyp had done his best to help out, people still had died. A job done, was more like it. He had done his job, just as she must do hers. Kyp returned the polite gesture with his own and looked to the woman. “Lady Pallanén, I am glad to see you safe. I am sure Master Yoogle will be relieved that I have found you safe as well.” Kyp said, even though the woman had gone through hell and back. Not wanting to be rude, Kyp tugged on his bags and looked back to Arlyn. “You wouldn't happen to have a place I can clean myself up at before we get down to business?” he said, the smell of the x-wing cockpit still lingering on his person.

I switched it out. :P

"Thank you, and yes. I'll have Officer Devidias show you to your quarters. I could use two hours, I'll need to contact my husband, and finish up the loose ends of my visit to Tatooine. When you're ready, your droid may access the ship's computer and it'll know where to find the conference room." Arlyn watched as several of the hangar deck crew cleaned the small astro droid, carefully polishing the droid's finish, while trying not to agitate its unique personality subroutines.

"If you're hungry, ask one of the protocol droids... There are bunch walking around on this ship, and I'm sure they wouldn't mind finding you something." She smiled, as one of her bridge officers delivered a schedule report, and the latest transmission received from Talon Karrde, "Until our debriefing, Jedi Durron." She bowed once more, then disappeared into the depths of the Capree.

The vessel is now en-route to the planet "Bothawui" located in Rebellion Territory.

Arlyn's fingers twitched as they rolled over her stomach, her pace quickening before she stopped in front of the Medical Bay. A pair of droids eyed her, before saluting from their position. The doors hissed as the doctor rushed from his position, "Oh Lady Arlyn, what were you doing down there! That is no business for a pregnant lady, and you know it." His face flashed from anger, to concern as he noticed the nervous twitch over her stomach. "Thanagarians are not as frail as humans, especially the mothers. Generations of war brought about internal defenses for their young..."

Equipment and droids poured over her, scans running from just her belly, then all around her. "You may have suffered bruising, and your left wing-"

"The baby, doctor!" Arlyn let out impatiently, not caring about minor injuries.

"He is doing just fine." the doctor answered, returning to Arlyn's shoulder, "But I'll be damned if you walk out of this medical center, and not allow basic treatment of your shoulder. Now sit down, and shut up." Now that the concern for the baby had subsided, she listened to his instructions without protest. She let out a sigh of relief, but it wasn't over yet...

* * *

The hologram flashed, rippling throughout the long-rang distance. Ryan wasn't on Coronus, but en route to one of their old Lambda worlds. "Arlyn, you should have brought more of the elites with you. And the speeders, weren't the ones we sent with you!" No, he was right. They had used the flimsy citizen speeders, which had caused most of the fatalities. One speeder, the entire crew had been exterminated.

"I can't say anything to stop you from this, can I?" Ryan sighed, he displayed an obvious gesture of annoyance and stress.

"No, I have to do this. Our family depends on this, and I'm the only one who can do this without risking our entire organization. They trust me there, believe it or not, but I need to do it swift. The longer this drags out, success rates drop drastically. Ryan, I kiss our children for me. I shouldn't be longer than a week."

Ryan's smile brought an unseen comfort to Arlyn, her eyes watering as he said, "I will, I love you." She returned the response, and stepped away from the holo console.

* * *

The Command Deck was riddled with a mixture of droids, and species from all over the galaxy. The primary and most populated were the geonosians, serving directly from the Zerconian Hive. They were the most loyal, and effective crew she had ever served with.

She waited here, overseeing the final stages of the preparation. Bothawui would be a short visit, only enough time to visit the Spynet, and collect resources that would help them penetrate the very heart of the Empire.

“If you'd follow me, Jedi Knight Durron.” Officer Devidias said, his hand making a waving motion.

Kyp looked on Nine as the last bit of his frame was cleaned. “Come on, Nine. I don't think I can watch you get a detailed wash of your undercarriage anymore.” The droid beeped a reply, most likely in confusion.

The two of them followed the officer through the bowels of the ship. Kyp tried to remember his way around as much as possible. He had never been on a ship of this class so the hallways and rooms were organized differently then what he would have thought. Kyp figured they were headed towards the stern of the ship. Officer Devidias turned “Here we go, Jedi. The mess is straight down the hall, if you wish I can have a protocol droid retrieve you the days special.”

Kyp was almost afraid to ask what that meant for his stomach, “Yes, that would be great.” he said as he entered his temporary quarters.

* * *

After only a hour Kyp found himself with nothing to do. He had showered, ate a pasta like food, and dressed himself. Now he sat with Nine in his quarters. Other than an occasional buzz of a droid passing it was eerily quite. Space had a tendency to make Kyp feel alone. It was a strange feeling for someone who had spent most of his life on a metropolis world. Kyp began to let his mind wander from one thing to another. He was a Jedi Knight now, but he needed an apprentice. The Jedi Order was not what it used to be. The council consisted of only Yoogle, Ikrit, and Kyle Katarn. Their numbers dwindled till the day they found the current younglings and apprentices.

Kyp thought back to the conversation he had with Yoogle about leaving Denon to train the students elsewhere. One could not effeciently train a padawan when surrounded by concrete and steel. The living force is what these children needed. He had grown up at the Jedi Temple on Denon. If anyone knew what it was like being trained there, it was Kyp. Maybe, just maybe, he could give these younglings the chance they deserved.

By the time Kyp looked up, it was time for him to head to the Command Deck. Break time was over and it was time to put on the A game, Kyp thought. “Come on Nine, lets gets you dirty again.” he said before exiting his quarters and heading to the debreifing.

Before long Kyp found himself on the Command Deck. With his arms laced around his back, Kyp waited for the Thanagarian woman to notice his presence.

The Command Deck crew voiced a sea of information, all communicating with different officers, ship decks, and even other figures across the galaxy. The effort to locate and eliminate the head of the Exchange, had become the vessel's top priority. Droids moved in and out of the bridge so often, Arlyn hadn't noticed the Jedi's entrance.

"Karlos, are you sure the Bothan will arrive on time? Even if I have the leader of the Bothan Spynet on my side, it would ease political tensions if I had gained the support of several opposing figures." She couldn't sound more stressed at the point, the casual stance of the hologram man rolled his eyes, causing her fingers to grip the controls with a fierce annoyance.

"If you really want to doubt me on this on, why send me replicated Edward, eh? The Bothan politician is recovering, and we sent two of the Sister Fleet vessels as escorts. The Samaria has already reported it's well ahead of it's time table." Karlos yawned, his own schedule keeping him from a full night's rest.

The thanagarian allowed a small point of frustration escape her, "Please, do not fall behind schedule. When it is confirmed that Nubis is on Coruscant, I'll need everything in place to even consider mounting the assault." She ended the transmission, not caring to hear any more of his sarcasm. It was then she noticed the Jedi.

"Jedi Durron, I did not see you." she made a point to stress the fact to several of the Command Deck officers, her patience returning. Something about Karlos always managed to penetrate her emotional control, "Please, join me over here."

A massive holoprojector emerged, as she loaded the visual information containing their plot, she opened with, "What exactly, do you know about the Exchange?"

Kyp approached the Thanagarian woman with caution. Even Kyp knew not to piss off a woman, especially one who was carrying precious cargo. Between almost being blow to bantha poodoo and the commotion of the Command Deck she must feel.....impatient. A hologram of data appeared in front of Kyp. Between all the data Kyp saw, Coruscant and The Exchange. Before the Thanagarian woman spoke Kyp was already wondering what the hell he'd gotten himself into.

"What exactly, do you know about the Exchange?" She said over the busy crew.
"They do a little bit of everything. Smuggling, protection, bounties, and possibly even assassinations." Kyp said hoping his answer was correct. Jedi were taught to observe as well as act. Kyp didn't know the galaxy as best as he would like, but even a seedy organization like the Exchange deserved some attention.

Arlyn nodded, her attention folding to the holodisplay as the device rose from the floor. It flickered, before spewing forth the holographic display of Nubis Serin. It was the first time she had seen the man in almost three years, yet she couldn't believe how tainted the man had become. His ideals, and greatest dreams dwindled into pathetic nightmares, dwelling in selfishness, with minor political plots fit for personal gain.

He was once the leader of an organization that pledge no loyalty, yet undertook the charge of justice, and responsibility to serving the galaxy. Now, he had become a madman, leading the criminal network of thugs, and villains to accomplish his day by day schedule. His once grand, long pledged schemes shrivelled into nothing.

"The Exchange was once a small organization, something I brushed off as Security Chief, but now, full fledged terror-empire of its own. I have pledged to correct my mistake, and I will wipe it from the face of the galaxy. While I was serving with the Rebel Alliance, a hit was placed on my husband. The bounty had called hunters from all over the galaxy, even inviting Bounty Hunters to betray my Guild, and within hours, dozens attempted to land on Denon to carry out their master's order.

"We succeeded in not only protecting Ryan Davad, but we crippled several of the most dangerous hunters. We also, defected several of their agents, and earned an unprecedented amount of control and knowledge within his organization. Yet, it was not enough. Our internal spies were either discovered, or died attempting to carry out another plot. We lost our ability to locate, and later, capture the leader of the Exchange.

"Nubis Serin. His history with the latest galactic events, are probably, in no doubt, intertwined. Tangled in a dark, blood-driven motion that has set the galaxy into a dark spiral. This, I cannot allow. I have seen, and fought with my bare hands, the worst the galaxy has thrown at me. With Serin alive, we cannot in good conscience, even think about eliminating rebel opponents, such as the Galactic Empire. The Exchange has caused too many internal conflects, that if it continues, who knows what could it amount to.

"The Exchange has reigned over the political underworld for three years, and I'm about to send it to hell," she paused, flicking the hologram from Nubis, to Coruscant and a red flashing dot, "He is here, at the very center of the Empire. If we were to contact the Imperial Security Bureau, I am afraid we will lose our control over the situation.... Nubis has friends, in very high places..."

A geonosian approached, and handed her a datapadd. She read over the contents, before returning the information back to him. Her mind clicked back to the conversation as though nothing happened, "In short, I am going to eliminate the Exchange in a single swoop. Because of Serin's undying fear of public knowledge, and internal betrayal, very few have actually seen his face."

A man stepped forward, his entire figure still and unmoving. His body, and face were cloaked in an ancient robe, "This is our decoy, a man that will begin to cripple the Exchange, sending all of it's assets to predetermined coordinates. When they arrive, I will have teams in place to not only capture and arrest them, but to locate additional contacts and allies of the Exchange.

"It will be a galaxy-wide assault on an organization, that has very many eyes, very many ears, and most of all, the most lethal of methods to carry out their agenda. We will not accept defeat, or second place on this.... We will not allow the Exchange to continue to parade fear into our Senate, or stand as a corrupted underworld that terrorizes the daily life of our citizens...

"No, it will end soon, and it will be quick," Arlyn anticipated his next questions, and proceeded accordingly. "You may ask how, or why I have asked you attend this venture..."

"We are en route to Bothawui, where the Bothan Spynet will equip my operation with all the necessary tools, for a variety of situations. They have fought the Empire in the secret war of intelligence, and have many devices that will help us carry out our directive. That will shield us from those without the privileged connection to the Force...

"But, I am not a Force-user, and even with Yoogle's teachings, I cannot understand and provide protective measures against the Sith. Emperor Palpatine, no doubt, has a web of Force users, designed to detect Jedi and eliminate them. Even perhaps, detect me, or the consciousness of my team. I've thought of that, which is why I have tasked Talon Karrde. He has a species of Ysalamiri, that will mask my approach.

"What I asked from the Jedi Temple, was an agent that would best be able to assist in my operation of concealment. The Ysalamiri should be able to mask your presence, but that is not certain. I wish to test Talon's claims, and in the event that he is correct, I may, or may not, need you to accompany me to Coruscant. There are many options, many things I will need help on.

"Nubis Serin, prior to a minor political catastrophe on Naboo, was infected with an Ancient Sith spirit. As strange as this sounds to me, I am sure you will understand the grave situation this places me in. Leia Organa Solo had hoped to literally provide an exorcism for him, but in the very least, he remains greatly tainted by the Dark Side of the Force...perhaps still a victim to this ghost.

"My mission is not to kill him, but to capture and eradicate the Sith presence within his body. I will keep him heavily sedated, until we are able to reach a facility which will imprison him for as long as it takes. My question, Jedi Durron, are you willing to assist me in his transportation? Would you be willing to put a stop to this?" She pointed to the Exchange's emblem...

Kyp relaxed himself and took in all the info. Through it all Kyp had discerned a few things. The Exchange was more than he had thought. Arlyn was a trustworthy individual but somewhere in all of it Kyp sensed something about this was personal. When things were personal, those things would get messy. Jedi had to be much more careful about this feeling than others. These thoughts carried with them hate and anger, two emotions that could get people killed on both sides. However she seemed more determined because of it.

"Yes, I will do everything in my power as a Jedi Knight and a citizen of the Galactic Alliance to help you in this endeavor." Kyp said his eyes still pouring over the data.

"The Ysalamiri should be able to mask your presence in the force as well as mine." He remembered studying the creatures when he was still a padawan. They developed the ability to create a bubble in which the force was completely neutralized. On their home planet of Myrkr they would be hunted by Vornskr, a dog like predator who used the force to find it's prey.

Kyp thought over the part of the plan that involved him. "However it does not mask appearances. If I were to accompany you I will not be able to do so looking as I do now. I look like a Jedi." he said. "I would need a disguise."

Sensing that Arlyn was about to talk he cut in again to finish. "Don't call me by Jedi Durron anymore. You are not a Jedi and while we are on this mission I am not a Jedi either. Call me Kyp."

She appreciated the Jedi's approach to many of the subjects she had discussed, and he even anticipated one of her greatest concerns. She typed a few common attires into a data padd, then handed it to a passing protocol droid, "Find these in our clothing inventory, and assist Kyp," she smiled as she referred to him by a first name basis, "find something that isn't so... Jedi." She couldn't find another word to describe what he looked like, and the droid waddled off in the opposite direction.

"Excellent. To play it safe, we should hold an additional meeting, just before we leave for Coruscant. We'll be meeting our contact, Talon Karrde, in the Velusian Sector." The thanagarian also extended, "When we arrive at Bothawui, will you accompany us to the surface, or if you prefer, you may wait on the ship. The away mission shouldn't take more than two hours."

As Kyp opened his mouth to speak, she interrupted him, "Please, call me Arlyn. When we reach Velusia, my alias will become 'Natalie'."

Arlyn was better connected than Kyp had previously thought. Even though Kyp didn't like the idea of going onto Coruscant, it may be possible with the resources she had collected, or least he hoped. The idea of being turned into slag wasn't an idea Kyp was fond of.

“I will accompany you to the surface of Bothawui.” Kyp paused for a second. “But what exactly are we doing there?” he said with a curious gaze.

"Excellent, we will make the preparations for our landing," Arlyn answered, another droid taking note, then speeding off to carry out her indirect order, "Bothawui will provide us with a number of gadgets that will assist in eluding the Empire. I have great faith in the Bothan Spynet, as they assisted in a number of intelligence breakthroughs..."

Her voice trailed off as she realized she had an incoming transmission, it was one of her clones, 'Edward', "Lady Arlyn, we have secured the checkpoint Felusia. Our scans indicate that no one else is in the sector."

"Excellent, we'll roudevous with you in six hours, Arlyn out." she cut the comm, and turned to the Jedi, "I need to grab several things from my quarters, but we should be arriving at Bothawui shortly. I'll meet you in the hangar deck."

She beamed, bowed, then departed.

The Hangar Deck - Shortly Before their Departure to Bothawui

With an hour's worth of preparation, Arlyn had completely changed her appearance. Her entire wardrobe had tapped into the finest of royalty aspects, with gleaming jewelry from her wrists to her unseen ankles, and a decorative necklace, with a jem that would tempt even the most sane to theft, it's seductive sparkle daring all that glanced upon it. Imported fabric, created a sleek white dress, with slight diamond-glitter around her breasts.

Her geonosians had also changed, from armor, to ceremonial robes. From blasters, to celestial white pikes. The Bothans planned to provide a very, unique welcome, in a chance to promote Arlyn's operation as soon as it was successful as another victory from the Bothan Spynet.

Though her visit to Coruscant would be relatively unknown to all, it would prove as a political triumphant. To get the Rebel Security Chief, one who had spoken, and belittled the Emperor, to the very heart of his Empire, was a victory that could see many business opportunities.

And though they used her, she would use them to her own advantage. As she walked the halls of her ship, she reflected on her last political visits to Naboo, Thanagar, and Thyferra. They were all different, and this one would drastically out-show any of them.

Even her arrival on Geonosis would need to be energized. Kyp was ahead of schedule, as usual, and she took this time to greet him. She noted his surprise of her attire, and continued, "The Bothans have decided to provide an honorable arrival, and I intend to accept it." She smiled, "It wasn't my idea, mind you."

If he wished to change his appearance, there would be ceremonial clothes both for a Jedi, and for the man 'Kyp'. It wasn't everyday that a Jedi walked the halls of the Bothan Spynet, at least not sense the younger days of Jedi Master Kyle Katarn...
