Annoying though it might be, the Star Wars genre has... devolved somewhat to little more than 'kiddie' movies.

You say that as if the first three movies were rated-R horror movies...Star Wars has always been like this, people are the ones changing, not the movies.

Very true. Although, some entries are decidedly more kiddie than others. :p

Well, Droids and Ewoks aside, the PT is actually alot more mature than the OT...I mean, Yoda and Ben were old, but Qui-gon was cut down in his prime, and RotS actually managed to get the PG-13, didn't it?

Yeah... except Lucas elegantly proved he has no clue on how to write "mature." :p

Actually, I'm usually defending the PT from hardcore bashers. But it does have weak points: Anakin and Padme. I like the clones, I like the battles, and I like the tech. I do not enjoy "UR SOFTR THAN SAND :):):)"

That's me to a tee :p I think they did a better job in the cartoons with them than in the movies.

The only good Anakin moment is the opening of ROTS up until just after he lops off Dooku's head. Then he wanes, is likeable until he lands the Hand, and then he sucks for the rest of the film. :p

And yeah, I like the cartoons better.

IDK why Xaph mentioned Droids and Ewoks. Droids, especially droidekas, are far from kiddie. And Ewoks were just meant to be semi-sentinent life native to the planet/moon.

I think of Melvin Fett.

Yes, I agree w/ most everything here.
