Right, sorry it took me so long. I had finals a couple weeks ago, and I sorta forgot. Anyway:

The year is 2382. For nearly ten years, peace has reigned across the Alpha Quadrant with the end of the Dominion War and the thwarting of the Reman coup on Romulus by the Enterprise-E. The Federation has continued to expand its boundaries and knowledge throughout the Alpha Quadrant, sending science vessels into unknown areas of space. Now, as the Federation finishes construction on a new starship, a crew prepares to create its own legacy...

Name: Sarah Hall
Date of Birth: April 25, 2342 (Stardate 19314.2)
Species: Human
Place of Birth: Upstate New York, Earth
Starfleet Branch: Command
Rank: Captain
Desired Posting: Commanding officer, USS Archer
Height: 175.26 centimeters
Weight (Earth standard): 579.7 Newtons.
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Emerald green
Complexion: Fair
Character Bio: Sarah Hall has always been drawn to adventure. Although most of her academic scores at Starfleet Academy were relatively average, Hall demonstrated an excellent grasp of tactics, strategy, and command. On her first assignment, while commanding the night shift, Hall successfully thwarted a Cardassian ambush, demonstrating her capabilities. For this, she was promoted and commended.

Later, she was posted to several starships, including the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D for a short time, before being given command of the USS Adriatic NCC-26777. After being recalled from a mission to explore the Beta Quadrant, then-Commander Hall helmed her ship through the Klingon-Federation War and then the Dominion War. During these conflicts, she made a name for herself as an excellent combat commander. However, since she did not have the diplomatic or scientific skills of a Picard or Janeway, she went most unnoticed by promotions and assignment boards until 2379. After the Enterprise-E was critically damaged in a duel with an advanced Reman vessel, Starfleet decided that the Sovereign and Defiant classes were starting to fall behind, however slightly. A relatively unpopular decision was made to build a new dreadnought vessel, the first since the Ulysses-class of the late 23rd Century. When the Archer-class was finally approved, a captain was needed. However, none of the existing captains in Starfleet wanted to command a ship that was a blatant combat starship, preferring assignment to explorers such as the Galaxy-class and new Luna-class ships. With most threats to the Federation vanquished or now allies, there seemed no need. However, one officer stepped forward and requested the ship: Sarah Hall. On Stardate 58224, Commander Sarah Hall became Captain Sarah Hall of the USS Archer NX-80119.

Hall makes a habit to know her assignment vessel inside and out, and has since she graduated from Starfleet Academy. She also tries to know as much about possible enemies and this practice has led to much of her success in the field. She often drills her crews quite frequently and can be quite stern. However, past crewmates have noted that Hall takes a personal interest in the welfare of her crew.

Name: Renée Zend
Date of Birth: March 15, 2355 (Stardate 32200.2)
Species: Human
Place of Birth: Luna Colony, Luna, Sol System
Starfleet Branch: Starfleet Marine Corps Infantry
Rank: Captain
Desired Posting: Marine Company Commander, USS Archer
Height: 174 centimeters
Weight (Earth standard): 608.22 Newtons
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Complexion: Fair
Character Bio:
Born on Luna in 2355, Renée Zend has always longed for adventure. Her older brother joined Starfleet, and often told her wonderous tales of what he'd seen. Once she was out of high school, Zend applied to Starfleet Academy and was accepted. She entered science branch training, with an emphasis on chemistry and astrophysics. However, two months into her term, Zend learned that her brother had been killed in the Borg attack on Sector 001. Devastated by the loss of her only sibling, Zend's scores slipped, and she only barely passed in four years. After graduating in 2377, she transferred to the security/tactical division and underwent a year of Starfleet security training. When the Marine Corps was formally created, Zend applied to the officer training program. Graduating in two years due to her previous experience, she was commissioned in the Marine Corps as a Captain in 2381. On a mission to Iarem VI, Zend was wounded, but thanks to Marine-issue phaser pistol that she had received just days prior, she was able to accurately return fire on her attacker. It was this injury that took her off active duty and resulted in her being replaced by the time she recovered. However, this turned out to be in Zend's favor, as the opening for Company Commander on the USS Archer was now available to her.

Zend is a very stern, no-nonsense officer on duty. She is quite strict with her troops, and distances herself from Starfleet personnel. However, if a soldier has a problem, she is willing to hear it fairly and without bias... even when that problem is herself.
Hehehehehehehehe. :p

Name: Sayuri Xix
Date of Birth: 2352
Species: Trill
Place of Birth: Sereno IV
Starfleet Branch: Command
Rank: Commander
Desired Posting: Executive Officer USS Archer
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 120 lbs.
Hair Color: Dark Blue
Eye Color: Ebony Brown
Complexion: Pale

Appearence:
Though she is obviously marked with the body-length spots of a Trill, growing up on a low-gravity planet has given Xix another, very distinctive, naturally developed trait in her appearance. She stands much taller than the average height of her species and indeed most humanoids – though not as such to create too much issue with standard Federation constructions, though she does occasionally catch her head on the edges of low doorframes. In build Sayuri is very lanky and although she does put effort into physical exercise, her low-grav muscle structure means she’s not going to be taking on any Klingons in hand to hand combat anytime soon.

Asides from her build and her distinctive markings as a member of the Trill species Xix carries herself in a proud and aloof manner. An appearece magnified by the fact that she often IS looking down on people given her above-average height. Though she is capable of putting up something of a stern expression on her face when in the role of a Starfleet Officer, only the most nervous and easily provoked of people would see her as threatening, given her somewhat warmer personality beneath and the fact that she can't keep looking stern for long without breaking down into laughter.

Bio:
Sayuri Xix was born in the year 2352 on the outlying, low-gravity, Federation World of Sereno IV in the Alpha Quadrant. By all accounts her pre-Starfleet life was about as normal as any child growing up on a Federation world, the youngest daughter of a local Caterer and a Starfleet Officer. Given the distant nature of her father Yultan, Sayuri, always the ‘baby’ and ‘dreamer’ of the family, had a tendency to romanticise the life he led aboard the USS ‘Roosevelt’. Xix was a firm fan of Starfleet and soon grew determined to follow her father into service rather than follow her brothers and sister into the business sphere as her mother insisted, for a mother never truly wants to see their child to put themselves into the danger of combat and the unknown.

Although she was forbidden from raising the issue of joining Starfleet until she came of age Sayuri had long decided that she was going to become a cadet at the Starfleet Academy, pressuring her teachers and tutors for knowledge that would aid her on the acceptance exams – and pestering her father insistently whenever he was granted leave of absence from the ‘Roosevelt’. The saddest moment in her life came when the USS ‘Roosevelt’ was lost with all hands at the battle of Wolf 359, denying a fifteen year old girl the chance of ever having her father see her wear Starfleet uniform and hardening her resolve to push forwards in his memory.

Sayuri’s new resolve to join Starfleet as soon as possible threw her into conflict with her grieving family, who had no wish to see the youngest of their number lost like Yultan – Sayuri’s insistence led her especially into several arguments with her mother Elys, and the next year, aged sixteen, Sayuri left her homeworld on a freighter, armed with a passport and a satchel of belongings intent on finding her own way to the Academy on Beta Aquilae II. However, despite some skill with the controls of a planetary cargo-runner, Sayuri didn’t have the best grasp of navigating the black of space especially from the passenger hold of a tramp freighter. Xix found herself endlessly hopping on and off of transports in an attempt to find a path that led to the Academy.

By late 2368 Sayuri was stranded on the civilian Starbase ‘Beta Orbit’ a lawless place more commonly known as the ‘Hive’ a black market bazaar and the stomping grounds of many a local criminal. Sayuri found some measure of protection under the wing of a Ferengi called Hul, a small-time dealer in ‘artefacts’ who impressed upon Sayuri her curiosity with, and desire to collect, useless alien trinkets. A short time after Hul fell victim of a local protection racket the young trill crossed paths with Vitale Calogero, then a Commander in Starfleet Intelligence, aiding the latter in an operation against the Orion Syndicate on the starbase and compromising her own safety. Out of duty Calogero protected her by extracting her from the starbase with him and placing her to the care of Starfleet aboard the USS ‘Saratoga, transporting her to Earth, light-years away from the Academy campus she had been heading for but giving her the chance to apply for the Academy.

With her experiences throughout her year-long walkabout under her belt and a bit of tutoring aboard the Beagle, Sayuri was able to pass the Academy entry exam on her first attempt and entered into the Academy in 2369. Though Trill were not an uncommon sight at the Academy, her above-average height marked her out amongst the other cadets – but rather than let herself become the brunt of the attention of certain, less than accepting cadets she reveled in her difference taking it in her stride. Throughout the four years she spent in the Academy she had little contact with her mysterious savior from Starfleet Intelligence, though through the exchange of an occasional letter she came to build up the same romanticism and respect around Calogero that she had around her father though she wouldn’t meet him again for a good few years.

By the time she graduated in 2373, Sayuri had reestablished contact with her family, though the relationship between her and her mother remained somewhat shaky – none the less, by the time of her graduation the relationship was firm enough for her family to travel to Earth to attend the ceremonies. Though she was more concerned over her disappointment with Calogero’s lack of presence at the event, and despite the belated letter of congratulations and apologies she received from him following her appointment to the Helm of the USS ‘Virginia’, Xix fell out of contact with her one-time savior.

Aboard the Miranda-class Vessel then-Lieutenant Xix had a severely short amount of time to adapt to being a member of the ‘Virginia’s’ crew before the Federation plunged head-first into war against the Dominion and the ship was brought up in the frontline of the conflict. Despite her green nature and sudden introduction to the conflict, Xix performed in an exemplary manner – due to her age the ‘Virginia’ spent the majority of the war protecting Federation Alliance convoys before being refitted for fleet combat duty in preparation for the Federation-led invasion of Cardassia. Unfortunately the ‘Virginia’ was pressed into service with her refit incomplete when the Dominion went on the offensive in the Chin'toka system, her name entering the log entries as a casualty of the battle, one of many victims of the Breen energy-dampening weapon, though with the jettisoning of her escape pods many of her crew were able to survive.

A Helm Officer without a ship, Sayuri found herself assigned to the Akira-Class Vessel the USS ‘Thunderchild’, the ship participating in the invasion of Cardassia that dealt the final deathblow to the Dominion. For the next nine years Sayuri remained an officer aboard the ‘Thunderchild’ under Captain Matsuda, gaining promotion to Lieutenant-Commander, recieving promotion to the ships second-officer after supporting actions against the Borg remnants. Taken sick at Starbase 237 and contained to the medical facilities onboard, Xix survived the ‘Thunderchild’s’ fate at the hands of a new-type Borg cube yet again surviving a ship she had been assigned for.

After a temporary leave of absence from Starfleet towards the end of 2383, Sayuri returned to active duty aboard the USS 'Archer', one of the few Federation command staff who, after bearing witness to so many Federation deaths at the hands of dedicated combat vessels, was dedicated to the development of a true Federation warship.
