Ruby snuck along the edge of the alleyways in the fifth district, wearing the shadows as a cloak as Drayson showed her all those years ago. She wasn't a mutant and couldn't cloud the minds of the beings she was sneaking past like Jedi could so they always knew that something was moving at the edge of their perceptions but by the time they had gotten to looking in the right direction she was long gone.

A lot had changed since she met with Zarthen in the cantina. He was no longer an unknown quantity and she was no longer barely armed. A thin stiletto threaded its way through her hair; a shortsword hung in a scabbard over her shoulder and an ornate dagger was sheathed at her hip. The latter belonged to Vita before Drayson caught up with him and had him imprisoned again. It was a fine weapon, made with causing pain in mind as opposed to outright killing. The hilt was orange, with orange jewels ingrained in one side of the blade surrounded by strange runes.

Ruby liked to think that it was a Sith weapon, once belonging to the mighty mutant race but knew better than to expect any special abilities, even if it was a Sith blade. They weren't known for making their technology easy to use by others. Nevertheless, it was one of her favourites and not only because of her admiration of its former owner.

Finally reaching her destination, Ruby scaled the outside of the building, using outside staircases and drainage pipes to ensure that she wasn't seen. Once the reached the tenth floor she found the cliched ventilation shaft and entered, coming out in the turbolift shaft and waiting for the lift to arrive before gaining entry to the tenth floor finally. She couldn't see Zarthen and so settled into a quiet corner to wait for him to arrive.

There are many given guidelines when one enters a room to do... 'unsavory' work. For example, one should always check the windows, even when not using them as an entrance. One should also always commit to proper surveillance and reconnaissance before deciding when is a good time to enter. One should always check the corners upon entrance. And, a good rule of thumb when entering a room made to be a living area: One should always...

" Check the closet," said the armored form as it opened the closet door, it's grainy, metallic voice reflecting softly off of the walls as it walked towards Ruby with blaster aimed at her head. The armor was in the fashion of the old Sith Troopers, an esoteric design that it's user had grown fond of for it's ability to make the wearer practically anonymous.

The phrik infused plating, integrated personal shield system, vocal modulator and biometric scanners had all been added by the wearer, but they were a welcome addition to the blank, anonymous visage of the armor's design. " You should always check the closet."

Denavus replaced the blaster in the retractable thigh holster and gazed upon Ruby through the dark, faceless helmet. " Are you ready to work?"

Ruby always wondered why people felt the need to conceal their appearance when they were working. She always preferred to look her victims in the eye and any sort of face apparatus stopped her from being able to do that. She supposed that it gave their victims a feeling of supernatural fear as opposed to the mortal fear that she inspired.

Whatever his reasons, Zarthen was one of those 'I-love-metal-skin' types and by the look of his body language and demeanor was all to happy with inspiring supernatural dread in his victims. He appeared to be talking to himself about a closet as he approached, his blaster levelled at Ruby's head. She managed to supress an eye-roll, but only just.

"I'm always ready. What's the plan?"

Sorry for the tardiness

" Our target is on the floor above us, three rooms over." Denavus looked towards the closet and than back to Ruby. As long as she was capable, everything would go fine. If he was working alone, everything would definitely go according to plan, but he wanted to give the girl a chance. She seemed to have a grasp of what she was doing; and it would be interesting to see how she would work. She would get half of the pay for the contract, he didn't care about the money. He wanted to see that she could pull it off.

" I've created a path through the ceiling in the closet. We'll move in through there and catch them off guard. Six humans, all heavily armed, but also heavily inebriated. Despite the fact that they think they hide from our employer here and are safeguarded... they are stupid. Let us show them the wages of their idiocy."
