Imperial - Rebellion Sorting Facility
The entire facility was a lot louder than anyone would've thought. The processing facility hummed as machines organized and sifted the exotic bacta fluid into large containers that were being sold, traded, and shipped into the Rebellion and the Imperial 'side' of the planet. This facility was one of the neutral zones, something that allowed an equal presence by both sides of the Alliance, and the Empire. Mostly for moderation, to ensure both sides got an equal share, but also it was a bold indication at how a small spark could ignite the war all over again. Only the coolest of soldiers were posted here, the room for hotheads like Han Solo, probably wouldn't last long against the sneers of overactive and conversating Imperials.
Senator Joan Lorraine had fought long and hard against the Imperial occupation of this world, but to little success in the senate. Despite the importance of bacta materials, the Senate had no reason to go to war... at least, it wouldn't be the Rebellion that enacted the possible billions of lives that would be altered, and in all probabilities, taken from the galaxy.
Sark envied this idea, the idea of a mortal and final death for organics. It seemed strange that they existed with such passion, and adamantly proclaimed feelings that could spark a swift retribution of death...to which at that moment, their lives would permanently cease to exist.
Bacta, on the other hand, repaired their frail bodies. Hindered their ability to die. It regenerated their cells, and sped their recovery. It was rather remarkable that such a substance existed, and with a possible massacre by the Empire, the bacta supplies were no doubt about to become limited, and government controlled and deployed.
Medical supplies across the galaxy will go slim, and the death toll from war and disease would rise.
Not exactly the worst thing that could happen to the organics, but Sark could understand the importance of Thyferra better than most.
In a tuxedo that was built for his mission, he stepped into the processing facility and flashed his Rebellion pass. "I require access to the Thyferran Security Computers, immediately." |
