Alright, here's an idea; Like factions, how about companies get weekly pay and salaries by workers? That way, people don't have to have a military profesion to keep themselves afloat. Besides, you have to be making hundreds of sales from others, correct? As a side, prehaps we could add active duty and reserves to military, meaning they would have to find side jobs when not deployed. This would add more depth to the game, and would mean that having a pistol in your poket isn't the only way to make a living.

Sounds good... just remember that billion dollar salaries are bad for business. :p

I'd think you'd draw it from your company profits. :p

Hey, if this makes Tau money, I'd be happy. But it seems to me that it's just going to complicate the game.

But besides players, wouldn't there be the main-stream buyers? And workers and taxes to pay? You should be able to make a steady profit from it. Not as much as a military position, but still.

I've said that before. It's too complicated to add to the game.

How so? You could take a look at the company. Ex: Imperial Manufacturing appeals to manly the Empire and its allies, while the Corrilean Engineering is open to the public. However, more lower class people would be more likely buying from CE, while higher class folks buy from IM. Using this you can figure out the weekly income. Then minus workers pay, and you're set. After that, it's easy sailing.

No, it's not, because that's alot of work for CMAC to do :p Sales are never constant, either.

That's what averages and monthly earnings are for.

Exactly. Besides, CMAC could limit major 'faction-like' corperations like they do factions.

If you are a hick government with just farmers, I'm fairly sure your income is going to be less than a highly industrialized one. That is, I'm sure that whatever your income is now reflects whatever your faction earns.

And you just couldn't find an average figure for sales. It's too random, and the only time people want weapons and ships is during war, so how are you supposed to account for that?
